We had a Premium Executive Sea View Room. This is a large room on the top floor with a very large outdoor terrace - this terrace was why we booked this hotel and specific room. The view of the sea and the Promenade is unmatched - just outstanding and waking to this view each day was a treat. The outdoor space was very enjoyable - so much so that we never really went to their rooftop bar/restaurant other than to look it over once. We had that view all day and night from our room. Service was very good and the room was very functional. I was comparing to very nice properties like the Antara Plaza but what sold me was that outdoor terrace right above the Promenade. I checked out the Antara, had drinks on their roof - I was very glad I stayed at the Meridien. I highly recommend it.

I wrote to the hotel in advance, letting them know we'd be visiting for the third time. I asked that they treat us properly as Ambassador level guests and upgrade room us if possible. But it seems Anna Pedersenova from the front desk didn't respond to our letter at all, limiting herself to a standard formal reply. So what's the outcome? We fly all night, land, and head to the hotel. At reception at 3:10 PM, they offer us a regular room with a water view, despite the fact that suites are available. We start "begging" for a suite. They refuse to provide us with the Mediterranean and other suites, citing hotel policy, even though Bonvoy policy allows Ambassador level members to upgrade to the best available room, excluding the presidential suite. This is just a simple loyalty scheme from a chain, which the hotel apparently hasn't heard of. Why should we beg for a room, or even do anything at all, when I warned them about our arrival in advance and mentioned it in the letter. Why didn't the reservations manager assign rooms? Why didn't the general manager instruct us to treat an Ambassador member and a regular hotel guest with respect? There are only questions. They finally gave us a room, but... we have to wait another hour or more for cleaning. Even though rooms are available and it's check-in time. We notified them in advance of our arrival, spent the whole night on the plane, and were treated with such misunderstanding and disrespect for an Ambassador member. We are deeply disappointed. Next time, we will definitely choose a different hotel in Nice and recommend everyone take our disappointing experience into account when choosing a hotel.

My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights during our trip to Nice in early February 2026. The experience we had was the best hotel stay I have experienced. Not only did we have the most amazing view of old town Nice and the beach, as well as a beautiful patio, we also had fantastic service. Our cleaning lady Goar kept our room clean, stocked with water and towels and she was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious and included many types dishes. The service we had there was fantastic as well. The hotel is close to the beach, transit, shopping, restaurants, markets and so many other amenities and attractions. This was a 10 out of 10 experience for the entire 4 day stay.

We were upgraded when we arrived as there was drilling which was set to continue throughout the week. I came for rest, whilst my husband was at a conference held here, so quiet was essential; this was understood and attended to immediately. Wonderful array of options for breakfast. Our maid Goar, was extremely helpful and friendly always ensuring we had everything we needed.

We stayed there on the front end of a business trip and it was such a great way to spend the weekend. The hotel is right on the water and we could see and hear the ocean from our balcony. We were really happy with our front desk clerk Moosa-we checked in at a slow point and he took the time to welcome us and make us feel like special guests. We are Bonvoy elite but not that high but we were treated as if we were. I'm trying to say that what would have been a perfectly fine stay turned into a lovely stay that we will remember. The hotel couldn't be better located and if the weather is nice make sure to visit the rooftop bar. We had a cocktail there after checking in and the view and service were amazing.
