More than 100 years after its creation, as the perfect image of the legendary Riviera, Le Negresco reveals our desire for enjoyment, relaxation and comfort. Staying at Le Negresco is like jumping into a joyous mixture of eras and styles. Contemporary artists, masterpieces, monumental sculptures… Le Negresco owes its well-respected identity to its important collection of artwork and period furniture with over 6,000 references. This hotel comes with a big reputation to live up to. I wasn’t sure what to expect - but I loved it. There is art everywhere. The rooms are delightfully eccentric (as a Brit, I love that). But the jewel in the crown is the staff. From beginning to end, every single person did what they could to make our stay memorable. The restaurants are fab, the interiors are fab - but the staff really make the place. Cannot wait to be back.

Of all the hotels we’ve stayed in the “Leading of the Hotel” category, Le Negresco ranks high up as they do everything right. After a long day of playing tourist, seeing this magnificent hotel just made you feel like you’re back home, living in luxury and style. The place is literally a work of art. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s like dining in a Michelin restaurant where everyone just treats you like a VIP. Doesn’t matter if you’re poor or ultra rich, they all treat you just the same.

The refurbishment is wonderful. Some tips if you are staying here: - The spa and swimming pool are stunning. Bear in mind if you have a child to find out the children hours as they are limited - The beach staff are amazing and by far the best in the area for a private beach. The food both for myself and 10 year old was perfect, and It is easy to book the matresses in advance through email to be found at Negresco website. You will need beach shoes for the stony beach, you can also buy in a tourist shop on the promenade - the lounge drinks area on the area has a lot to be desired in terms of staff and food/menu - the bed in the room was amazing and room temperature perfect. Otherwise the room we had did not work well, more about ‘art’ than comfort. We had spears on the wall and limited counter tops, phone system was poor.. just not well thought through. It was not the room advertised. The hotel made it clear that they had plenty of other rooms that we could have moved to. My advice is, if you do not like the room, food or service then this is a hotel where you have to speak up immediately and then they will jump on to rectify. It is a hotel where you have to do homework and be prepared to complain when the service, food or room are under par.

Gorgeous, luxurious, and attentive service at every turn. The location is perfect, and the beach club is expensive, offering an unusually formal menu (not great for beach eating), but it's worth a day visit. Highly recommend for a luxurious experience.
