Inspired by traditional Omani construction techniques using local stones, the Alila Jabal Akhdar creates a uniquely relaxing environment, from the pool to the spacious suites that look out to mesmerising views of the cliff and mountains. Within the stone exteriors, the resort’s minimalist style blends warmth and colours that reflect the region’s culture. Although an uncommon travel destination, the luxury and adventure of Oman awaits you at the Alila Jabal Akhdar.

Food was exceptionally good. One of the most delicious and beautifully presented meals we had in Oman. Personalisation, and dedication of the staff made a huge difference. The location was breathtaking and engagement of guests with well planned acitivies and trained staff.

Amazing Hotel with beautiful surroundings and staff that goes over and above our expectations. Stars are so close from up there that you feel like just lying outside watching stars. We didnt have enough time to enjoy the spa or swimming pool but we cant wait to visit this amazing hotel again.

7 years ago I said to the lady who is now my wife, "We're going to go back to the Alila, so you can see just how amazing it is" - I'd visited in 2019 and been blown away by this magnificent hotel! It did not disappoint in any way, the kindness of every member of staff, the gorgeous rooms and of course the totally wonderful location on top of the Gorge. The only change I detected was for the better, in that it's now an a la carte breakfast service rather than a buffet. I think to sum up the Alila, it feels like it's part of the landscape, not superimposed on the landscape, whilst still providing a truly luxurious experience.

Amazing location but the road is not an easy drive. Certainly need four wheel drive. The police check vehicles on the road up and driving licences. If your car isn’t suitable you are turned away.

This is a one star review because we only saw the front gate! We were staying in a nearby hotel and drove the extra 30 minutes to Alila to have a look for our next visit, and to see if we could undertake some of their other activities (via ferrata / abseiling & caving). However they wouldn’t even let us in the gate! All we wanted to do was see the place and speak to reception, but even when we telephoned the Duty Manager and explained we were actually here, he said they wouldn’t let us in due to ‘hotel policy’. Tbh made us feel very unwelcome and wonder what they were hiding! Very poor customer service.
