Inspired by traditional Omani construction techniques using local stones, the Alila Jabal Akhdar creates a uniquely relaxing environment, from the pool to the spacious suites that look out to mesmerising views of the cliff and mountains. Within the stone exteriors, the resort’s minimalist style blends warmth and colours that reflect the region’s culture. Although an uncommon travel destination, the luxury and adventure of Oman awaits you at the Alila Jabal Akhdar.

At first we thought about if the price and long drive from Muscat was worth it. We are so happy we did it! It’s a truly unique experience and from the moment you arrive it’s something special. Staff is awesome, food is exceptional, the place is unique. We went to a luxury hotel in Muscat afterwards and would’ve preferred to stay in the Alila.

I have stayed in many lovely hotels around the world, but I think this might be the best. The incredible views, the rooms, the service, the food, the attention to detail, the friendly staff made staying at the Alila a real treat. Luxury in every respect.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. Maybeline at reception was exceptional and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived at the resort. The restaurant and bar staff were equally courteous and helpful — special thanks to Rima, Abdul, Mohammad, Ati, and Yazzin for their excellent service. Alanood was impressive — smart, natural, and confident — and I truly enjoyed her activities. I would also like to acknowledge the gentleman at the Archery, who made the experience very enjoyable.

One of my favorite hotels. Loved the secluded area with breathtaking views everywhere around the hotel but also from your own balcony. The decoration was just perfect. The activities were interesting, loved the archery. The staff was extremely professional and prompt to help.

My partner, daughter and I were lucky enough to spend 5 days here and it was some of ur most memorable. The location of the hotel is spectacular and the understated luxury has been perfected. The staff were welcoming and anticipated our every need. The facilities to die for. The free activities were such a treat and the walking and sightseeing in the area were hard earned but well rewarded. The only thing is the exchange rate is not great for those of us from the uk and food is expensive even if exquisite. We could not participate as much as we would have liked. The food ethos is farm to table and in the future they may do a set menu at a reduced fee to help those of us from countries with a less strong currency. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a great holiday.
