Water Villas provide secluded space to relax, watch the water and enjoy sea life. Excursions all make wow memories. Fayaz, thank you for gold standard service as always; to the bar team who keep the cold drinks coming; the buggy drivers who get us where we want to go; the room cleaners who always leave a special touch; and to each of the restaurant teams - fab team in each venue - thanks to the waiter and waitress (diet coke lady!) who made our evenings in Trio and lunches in Iru special. Truly great place and team - thanks for making us memories x

We feel blessed to once again having had the chance to visit Iru Fushi, our second home. It is always a pleasure to return to a place, where you know you can expect excellence. Upon arrival we were greeted by our friends Fayaz, Naveen, Faahim and Mariya, as well as many others. The three gentlemen once again pursued with dedication everything, to deliver a frictionless and unforgettable experience. Due to the familiar bonds developed during past visits, the regular meetups on the island always resulted in a pleasant chat. As Fayaz and Naveen already acted several times as our butlers, they remembered our preferences and acted proactively. Hence, while we were provided with our welcome drink, our diving gear was directly sent to the dive center. As we completed the check-in procedures in the app upfront already we were directly driven to our water villa. The water villas are now fully renovated with a very elegant but clean look, in addition they all have a pool now. Several improvements were made such as more and better storage, better bathroom layouts, a net to lay over the water and last but not least an excellent new bed. In our opinion the renovation was a full success and built up on the good foundation they had. While we do not need pools in overwater villas, we got to admit it contributed to the luxury vibe. Additionally, as we had a villa at the very end of the jetty, we had the luck to see sunrise and sunset from it. Further, with pleasure we noted that our Villa was maintained by Nikasi, who works in Iru Fushi for years and does an amazing job with good eye for detail. As soon as connected to the wifi in the room, a WhatsApp message from our friend Toyli from the dive center popped up, asking whether we arrived, as our dive gear was spotted. Hence we agreed for a visit after our upcoming lunch. For lunch we headed to Fluid. As during previous stays, Fluid was one of our go-to lunch outlets. On one hand this is due to the excellent and diverse menu but also due to the excellent crew of Yammal, Ganesh, JD/Jadeja, Ashen, Raj and many others. The same crew also is in charge of the Taste of India, where you are not only able to experience great service but also Chef Vivek’s excellent Indian cuisine. After an hello round, some delicious food and drinks we went on to visit the crew at the dive center. While Noonu might be one of the lesser known and popular dive areas, the dive center run by Dani is one of a kind. All the staff is very focused to provide a secure and fun 5 Star experience. Diving with our friend Toyli again was just a pleasure. By now we did so many dives as the three of us, that there is a deep trust and understanding even under water, so that all of us are able to fully enjoy each and every dive. The charm at diving in Noonu is, that you will never have overcrowded dive sites, while still being able to enjoy a lot of different sea life. While certainly depending on the season and conditions, we saw everything from rare sharks (Leopard / Guitar), Dolphins, Mantas, Eagle Rays, Turtles, Barracudas and much much more in this atoll already. While on the Boat we always enjoyed talking and joking around with the very kind boat crews (shout-out to Shahid who already knew we will be on the boat by seeing our equipment and is just such a kind person) and other dive instructors such as Shaheen and Oleg. We say with confidence, that with each and everyone of them you will have a very good experience when going for a dive. But it does not stop with the dive. So far, the Iru Fushi dive center is the only one, where we have not once received our gear smelly the next day. That’s how your gear should be handled, and they fully commit to it. Thanks guys, while this visit was a short one, it was pleasure. For our first dinner we wet for Trio. After being greeted by Mia, who always looks so good after us, we discovered that there is a new Pizza oven. Hence we had to try. We are pleased to say, the new Pizzas from the special pizza chef are a treat. Unfortunately we only had six nights this time, so we did not really have the chance to visit every outlet several times. The visits at Bamboo and Taste of India were excellent and the food and service quality is very good. However, we got to admit that Islanders Grill toped it all this time. On one hand it feels that the non-sea-food portion of the menu was increased compared to the past, which we appreciate. On the other hand Harendra, who we know since our first stay, moved there as Assistant Manager of the outlet. Our friend Harendra went far and beyond to deliver such an amazing dinner experience, that we had to come again for our last dinner of the stay as well. I don’t want to go into every detail, but with the setup for the last dinner… Harry you nailed it. We hope you are able to continue your career path… you are already the manager in our heart. We are sure, that there are others that contributed to our amazing stay, which we forgot to mention. Sorry for that, it will certainly not be our last visit. It is just amazing to come back to a place, feel at home and welcomed back to the family immediately. Thanks for another amazing stay Iru Fushi Team. 🫶🏻🏝️🇲🇻

The best thing about this resort is the staff and I would definitely visit again. All of the staff are so attentive and do their jobs so well. We had a nearly refurbished water villa and it was very spacious and nice. The room has lots of storage and massive bed. If you want lots of sun you need a higher number on the new water villa. We had 633 and got sun most of the day. The lower numbers only have sun in the morning. The food is excellent in all restaurants including the buffet. My favourite restaurant was bamboo but all are very high quality. I would suggest booking restaurants before you go on the app as they do fill up. Flavours still wasn’t open but the menu was severed at trio. My guess is flavours won’t be opening soon as loads of work is still to be complete. The alcohol and drinks were generally good. My only little thing was some of the wines weren’t available and the alternatives were ok. The fresh fruit juices were very good. The wildlife we saw was amazing. Just from the jetty and our villa we saw and swam with turtles, black tip reef sharks, eagle rays and a single white tip shark. We also saw nurse shark and sting rays from our water villas. The reef by boil bridge where the water villas are was better than the nemo reef and house reef. The whole island is beautiful and it’s a magical place to be. I would recommend this island to anyone.

The island, people and experience are truly extraordinary. Staying here will not disappoint in the slightest. From the moment of arrival through every moment of the day you are treated like superstars where every person welcomes and supports your every need. The facilities, the food, the variety of experiences (spa, trips, diving and pools) are exceptional and was the cleanliness, with even raking of leaves on footpaths daily. The villas (stayed in Beach Villa with pool then moved to a Water Villa) are all very beautiful and well stocked for all inclusive. The attention to detail by the housekeeping team was excellent, including a daily turn down service and creative messaging with leave art. Special mention to our Butler, Thahseen and Server at Trio, Naresh, who made exceptional differences to our stay where nothing was too much and assisted with plans to celebrate my wife’s birthday! Thank you and please do try for yourselves. Hope to be back some day!

We visited Sun Siyam Iru Fushi in April 2026 for our wedding and honeymoon. The whole experience from start to finish was absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t speak more highly of the entire Sun Siyam team. Everyone was incredible - the team at Male airport supporting the transfer to the resort, the wedding planning team, the holiday support team, and the bar and restaurant staff set such a high standard throughout our visit, and couldn’t do enough to make sure the trip was idyllic. We’d like to specifically highlight a few of the team. Firstly Catherine helped with our wedding planning and was amazing, both before we arrived in ensuring everything was prepared and what we wanted, and in running the wedding itself once we’d arrived. Secondly we had superb service from Sarif with tending our villa each day, with so many personal touches and dedication to making the trip special, which really meant a lot. Finally we’d like to highlight the support from Fayaz who operated as the butler for our stay. Nothing was ever too much, and Fayaz showed both professional and personal pride in the quality of support we received, which just made the experience so effortless. We couldn’t recommend Sun Siyam Iru Fushi any more highly, and the accommodation / facilities at the Horizon Water Villa With Pool were absolutely superb. It’s also worth flagging that the variety and quality of food at the resort restaurants was fantastic. We’ll certainly be heading back to the resort in the future!
