This was our first visit to the Maldives, and it exceeded all expectations. Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is a place of true peace and harmony - white sand, gentle ocean breeze, and a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the wonderful dinners at Islanders Grill Restaurant — a perfect mix of great food and beautiful ambiance. Special thanks to our butler Shahudhaan for his care, attention, and easy-going kindness. We’re leaving with amazing memories and can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. A great resort in Noonu Atoll, our Aqua Retreat was spacious and well equipped with fantastic views. We enjoyed all the restaurants where the food quality was superb and the all inclusive plan was overall excellent. Snorkelling was excellent and it was great to have an overwater villa. Our butler Naveen was exceptional and we felt completely looked after by him. Nothing was too much trouble and he made our stay at Iru Fushi special. A big thank you from us Naveen. A huge thank you to you staff at all the restaurants and especially reflections bar who we superb throughout and of course our brilliant housekeeper. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

This was our 6th holiday on Irufushi. For us it was again a perfect stay in this outstanding resort. The beautiful island, the white beaches, the delicious food - all was great. We enjoyed 14 relaxing nights in a beautiful villa with pool. The warm and friendly stuff are awesome. Especially our roomboy Saddam, who provided us with his great service and decorations in our room. We allways felt cared and comfortable. Also special thanks to our buttler Shahu and the grat stuff of the Iru restaurant and the Reflections bar.

After a bit more than a year we have decided to come back to our second home Iru Fushi for the 4th time, hence also refer to our previous reviews for more details. While having visited quite a few resorts in the Maldives by now, this resort has a special place in our heart. The reason for this are the people, the island it self as well as the overall experience provided. Once again Fayaz and Naveen were taking care of us in an exceptional manner. While they both act as butlers, we by now consider them as friends. Fayaz has very long experience in his function and it shows. He checks on details, while do not even notice it and shows up unexpected like a ninja :). He wants you to have the best possible experience and if something does not go according to plan, he will find ways to compensate it that exceed your expectations. Naveen on the other hand has such a natural and open politeness and interest in the guests, that he really connects with you in an instant. But don’t get it wrong, also his services are of exceptional quality. Further, what really differentiates Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is, how they value returning guests, or repeaters who they call them. We have been to a few places around the world more than once, but we never felt such an investment in a long-term client relationship as in Iru Fushi. They really drive you make you become a part of the Sun Siyam Family, in our case they have more than succeeded. We will not go into details here, so that everyone can experience the surprises by himself. The Hotel is currently renewing its whole infrastructure, also connected to the rebranding of Sun Siyam. However, this does not impact your experience in any negative way. More over, we were shown how the new rooms will look like and we are very eager to be able to experience them soon. The overall experience on this very green and „jungle-like“, but very well maintained, Island is a pleasure. Walking the ways to the dining outlets, the one of a kind spa, or the beach sides is a pleasure. We recommend to take the time to explore by foot, it also helps to burn the calories for the delicious food. Speaking about food: It does not matter if you crave Asian, Indian or more western style food, the Island has to offer everything. Our place of choice for lunch is certainly the Fluid. It has a very well structured menu, that offers something for everyone and the food quality is exceptional for a „pool bar“. Yamal and his crew really provide an excellent experience. The same crew also runs the Taste of India, which has a variety of delicious Indian cuisine at your disposal. We recommend to try dishes such as the Kachumber salad, Ghobi 65 as well as the butter chicken. The later is one of the best we ever had. In general you can’t go wrong if you like Indian cuisine. Over the time we have visited Iru Fushi, the Bamboo showed significant improvements. They improved the sitting area significantly and brought spice and tasted to the dishes that it is really an experience now. Run by Vipin, you are well advised to ask him for his recommendations or taste a dish that you are offered, even if you have not asked for it. It is really on an excellent eleven now. Due to the renewing going on, currently Flavours and Trio are combined and you can explore both menus at the completely rebuilt trio venue. The site above the sea is excellent, you are able to enjoy marine life while having an excellent dinner. Harendra and Mia, the friends we previously made at Fluid / Taste of India, now provide their marvelous service at Trio and we really enjoyed to meet them again. The food on offer from both menus is excellent and something to indulge on. Also Islanders Grill is a place you should visit. While a bit seafood heavy for our taste, it has something delicious to offer for everyone’s taste and service and site are exceptional. Further, as on previous stays, the all-inclusive package leaves no wishes unfulfilled and you have an exceptional selection of high quality drinks on offer, next to the food. As divers, we spend a significant portion of our time at Iru Fushi not on the Island but under water. The Dive Center of Iru Fushi is of exceptional high quality and staffed with extraordinary people. We have made most likely over 50 dives with Toyli over our past stays and he really became a good friend. His very calm and friendly character is suited for divers on all levels and experienced divers have the chance to provide their inputs and wishes. In general, the Dive Center that is run by Dani, is managed very well. If you bring your own gear, it will be maintained very well after every dive trip and you will never have to deal with smelly gear. While Noonu is a less popular atoll for diving, there is still a lot to see and there are very interesting dive sites around. It is very well suited for beginners or advanced divers that are looking for a few relaxing dives. What is especially surprising is the abundance of marine life directly around the Iru Fushi Island. On every corner of the Island you are able to experience all sorts of marine life. We have met on this reefs everything from different reef sharks, nurse sharks, turtles, dolphins, huge Barracudas, sting and eagle rays and even Mobulas. Further you should visit Christmas Tree, Koen’s Dream, Loafru and Manta Point, which are always an experience. We were lucky and were able to encounter Mantas 2x times during our stay at the manta point. Further, on the Island near by there was recently a huge wreck sunk for diving purposes. It’s astonishing how quickly nature claimed this habitat and its now populated by huge school of tiny fishes, trevally and sharks. Hence, ask to visit the wreck at Snow White, it really is an experience. We really had very good time. We certainly will be back to our second home in the future and do recommend the resort without any limitations. 🇲🇻🫶🏻🏝️🤿
