Our overwater villa experience was very bad .The housekeeping service was unacceptable. Our room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon, towels were missing, and we had to call several times for basic amenities. Very disappointing for a luxury resort." "The room was dusty on arrival, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the bed sheets had stains. This is far below the standards expected from a sun siyam iru fhusi resort." "Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay. Some days the room was cleaned well, while other days trash was left behind and toiletries were not replenished." "We repeatedly requested extra towels, but they arrived hours later. The room cleaning was rushed, and the floor was still dirty after housekeeping finished." "For the price we paid, the housekeeping service was extremely poor. The minibar was not restocked, used cups were left in the room, and the bathroom was not cleaned properly."

The scenery is beautiful, and the butler service Janice is extremely thoughtful.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi! Everything exceeded our expectations. The island is stunning, the water villa was beautiful and comfortable, the food was outstanding with plenty of variety, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A very special thank you goes to our butler, Azzam. He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He was always kind, professional, attentive, and available whenever we needed anything. His warm personality and exceptional service made our holiday even more memorable, and we truly appreciated all his help and care throughout our stay. Thank you to everyone at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi for an unforgettable vacation. We leave with wonderful memories and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

PROS: Awesome hotel: amenities, location, free seaplane transfer from the airport, food in restaurants à la carte, adult swimming pool with a sunset view + happy hours for drinks at pool bar, night events. The staff gave us the room I requested for no additional price (the furthest water villa with open ocean view). Usually staff is very attentive and helpful. CONS: Breakfast at buffet could be better. Cleaning not always is perfect and I saw staff dumping sewage from shower directly into the sea, which is absolutely inappropriate. The same situation was with the repair crew—they often throw trash into the sea or accidentally dropped it - I don’t know, and they never retrieved it, even when we pointed it out to them. The construction debris simply remained on the seabed. Excursions are super expensive, I’ve never seen such high prices anywhere in the world and we were almost everywhere (including Hawaii). And treasure hunt is too hard, most of the days no one could find it. But the biggest disappointment is butlers (special hi to Naveen). Our first butler was okay, but the second one—oh my God… He was rude, mean, unfriendly, unhelpful, and dismissive throughout our stay. Even when we raised our concerns with our butler, he responded that in situations where we were dissatisfied with the service, we were the ones at fault and should have acted differently. That level of customer service is completely unacceptable and is an absolute NO for me to return to this hotel.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay on this Iru Fushi island! All staff members are warm, friendly and provide thoughtful service. Special thanks to our butler Janice, she took such great care of us with thoughtful support throughout our trip. This resort is perfect for family holidays with kids, definitely an excellent choice. The island is well-equipped with complete facilities for all ages. We enjoyed every moment here, and it turned out to be an unforgettable great vacation overall. Highly recommend!
