Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives

The location was incredible, and the service throughout the stay felt first class from beginning to end. The atmosphere across the resort and every restaurant carried a premium vibe that made each day feel effortless and exactly as imagined, especially my one set above the sea, where the views were breathtaking from sunrise to sunset. The place offered real value for money, with spotless spaces and housekeeping visiting in the morning and again later for a second tidy. Faahim was my butler and handled every request with quiet precision, and Buwan , my housekeeper kept everything immaculate. Amenities were plentiful, with evening shows, snorkelling, jet cars, sunset cruises, village trips, sauna, hydrotherapy sessions, and sushi classes. Zahir provided a photo shoot with amazing results, that was unforgettable.

Our experience was incredible. We had Faahim as our personal butler and he was fantastic, everything we wanted to do he would arrange it for us, some restaurants/spa treatments said fully booked however he managed to arrange the table/treatments for us. The spay was really good, so good that I went 4 times! The staff and customer service was unbeatable, they were all so friendly and accommodating. Everyone was super and I wish I could remember all the names that assisted us during our stay. We explored all of the restaurants and there wasn’t one person that did not impress us, they were all just fantastic! We stayed in the water villa with pool and it was very clean, the view was beautiful and we went snorkling from our room into the sea. The overall location was perfect, it was 45 minutes via seaplane and our water villa was away from any noise.

From the moment we arrived, “Welcome home” felt so genuine. The staff at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi go above and beyond, making every guest feel truly cared for. The island itself is breathtaking with white sands, swaying palms, every shade of blue in the sea, and sunsets that take your breath away. Yet it is the warmth and kindness of the wonderful staff that makes it unforgettable. We stayed in a Horizon Water Villa and every detail was perfect. Housekeeping left daily greetings and sweet little treats that genuinely moved us. Snorkelling from our villa ladder was magical, with coral reefs and beautiful fish. We enjoyed the included excursions: the Golden Hour cruise and a local island visit, where we were humbled by the strong sense of community we witnessed. The spa was tranquil and restorative, and dining was a delight: Iru for breakfast, Bamboo for dinner, plus standout dishes like Gobi 65 at Taste of India and calamari at Reflections. The level of service is so high here that it almost seems unfair to mention individuals who made our trip that extra bit special. Nevertheless we were touched by the care and kindness of the following: Mia — morning smiles and our kiwi ritual. Joseph, Rojan, Sandip — joyful breakfast chats and care. Sathis — pancake artist and morning sunshine. Aruna — effortless grace at Reflections. Shehan — laughter and sunshine whenever we saw him. Madhu — morning coffee and warm greetings. Thilina — the kindest soul who made every interaction meaningful. Also would like to mention the gentleman in reception who dealt with our checkout. I think we all ended up in tears and the hug came just when we needed it! Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is a place where the Maldives’ natural beauty meets the warmth of human hearts. We left a little of our own hearts behind and can’t wait to return.

This was our second visit to the Maldives (11 years to the day), but by far a superior experience. From the first welcome, the staff made us feel so welcome and relaxed throughout our stay. When I say relaxed, there were also plenty of activities to get involved in from swimming, snorkeling, pilates, yoga, running around the island and using the gym. The spa experience was also lovely. Our 'butler' Azzam was great at getting us to experience everything we wanted to. Although the resort is currently going through a refurbishment, this did not impact upon our experience. The staff at the bars and restaurants were keen to ensure we had the best time possible. The main restaurant had some theme nights including Maldivian, Indian and Mexican which were all superb as was the food every day. Having fresh salads, fruit, breakfast omelettes, etc prepared or cooked to your requirements was lovely. The transfers by sea plane were seamless too.

We have spent wonderful six days on this fabulous island to celebrate our double anniversary. At the moment of arrival we felt that reality had been left and this feeling lasted until departure. The hospitality experienced is top notch, the level and quality of service exceeded all our expectations. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff is coming from heart that made our day during the whole stay. The colour of the white sand and the blue ocean is much more beautiful than in the pictures, the sharp contrasts around noon are incredible. First I thought that the marvellous atmosphere and ocean view of the overwater villa could not be beaten, but then we moved to our beach villa… The huge outdoor bathroom, the large private swimming pool near the terrace, the ocean view lounge and the direct connection to the turquoise blue lagoon left us speechless. There is not enough word or appropriate expression to describe this place and experience, you have to be there, see and feel it. We are more than happy and lucky to get there. It is an unforgettable and lifetime memory. Thank you all very much.
