Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives

Just returned from an amazing 14 days family holiday at Iru Fushi. Highly recommend this super resort. August can be rainy in the Maldives, but we had fantastic weather on all but 2 days. Our Deluxe Beach Villa with Pool was very spacious and, on the quieter, less windy side of the island. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Naveen, our butler, was always responsive and helpful. Anna in housekeeping always attentive and did an amazing job making the villas spotless. Naresh and Ganesh at the Fluid Restaurant and A Taste of India were also great, as was the chef Jasbir. The main Iru Restaurant had an excellent buffet for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Themed nights added something different to the menu each day. Fluid was a favourite for lunch with delicious burgers, pizzas, salads, plus a great pool. The food at A Taste of India was exceptional. The Trio Restaurant (Italian) was closed due to construction work so the Flavours Restaurant offered a combined menu of French & Italian. Excellent food, tables at the water’s edge (kids loved watching the sharks!). Overall, the all-inclusive package was good value for us as a family with teenagers. Excellent dive centre and instructors. Danni and Tylole really put our kids at ease for their first diving experience – a short taster dive in the lagoon and then a dive from a boat near the island. Visibility was ok, typical for the time of year due to increased plankton. The Dolphin Cruise was definitely a highlight! Seeing dolphins in the wild, followed by an amazing sunset with a glass of champagne was magical. We enjoyed treatments at the spa, plus hydrotherapy, which can be booked for 1 hour at no charge, including use of a sauna, steam room, hot and cold pools. Only a couple of minor disappointments. We could occasionally hear noise from construction work on the water villas and Trio Restaurant which were being renovated. Our butler Naveen did offer to move us to another villa but we stayed put as it wasn’t a big issue. As the Trio Restaurant was closed, the resort could have adjusted the adults only rule at Reflections Restaurant to at least allow families with older teenagers to use it. It seemed to be almost empty each time we walked by.

We booked a week in a water villa with our 14 and 11 year old sons. We had a wonderful time from arrival to leaving. Beautiful island and our butler Azzam was very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks were fantastic, would definitely recommend the citrus martini! We booked the Manta ray tour, which we really enjoyed, we saw Manta's and also Hawks bill turtles. Also, we had a sunset cruise and wine tasting included in our package. A treasure hunt takes place every morning, the 1st clue is whatsapped to you. Seemed like a great idea and we love games but it was really disappointing that some other guests decided to cheat and replace that days clues with clues from the day before! Overall, a great choice

The service from Naresh was very good. The food was very nice. He was very kind, and felt completely comfortable. Trio Restaurant was good and the is very nice and relaxed for mind.

My son and I had a wonderful time at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi! We would like to give special thanks to Shahu, who welcomed us and assisted throughout our stay. His responsiveness and help in every matter made our vacation extremely comfortable. We also want to thank Kamila from the restaurant, who always greeted us with a smile, took care of us, and explained everything we needed. The resort is very cozy and peaceful — perfect for couples and romantic getaways. At the same time, it has everything needed for families with children. We stayed with our son, and the PlayStation room was an excellent solution for teens, where he spent most of his time. We especially enjoyed dining at the Asian restaurant — the food was absolutely delightful, thanks to the chef! In the evenings, there is live music and DJ sets, creating a pleasant atmosphere while maintaining the resort’s calm and relaxing vibe. Overall, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is the perfect place for relaxation, harmony, and romance. We are very grateful to the entire staff for their care and attention and would love to return again!

Amazing 11 days away being pampered at Iru Fushi. Aalam answered all of our questions and queries - it was our first experience with a personal butler and it was fantastic! Trips were arranged and booked on our behalf and Aalam looked after us every day. The app was also excellent- activities and meals could all be booked in advance which made life very easy. From the check in to the check out is was an amazing experience. One we’d recommend to couples and families alike.
