Coco Bodu Hithi

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel   Here are a few bits to note   First the negative   On arrival to the hotel we were not greeted by the usual Maldivian welcome we were hurried up the jetty by the transfer captain and then met at the top by our host to him saying “ sorry I did not sleep in “ this is not normal you are normally greeted where the boat dock’s.    First couple of day’s were a bit unpleasant we asked for some coat hangers these took numerous messages to the host and still did not appear, numerous things missing from the villa and a broken wardrobe door ( which the host missed when he showed us around ) after two days we got a message back saying there seams to be a lot of problems in the villa and we got really upset by this and requested that the hotel manager came to see us.   This is where it all changed,   We met Sobe the resort manager at the villa and explained the problems we was having with our host and about the issues we had found- Sobe firstly apologized for the greeting and then sorted out all of the issues that we had said to our host he even sorted out another rail for all of my wife’s Bikini’s and cover up’s.      Sobe also arranged for a new host he called him and arranged a meeting with him the new host was Hammu all I can say was thank god as he was fantastic in my opinion is he is the best host on the island and was later joined by another host Shihan whom was being trained by Hammu and again another fantastic host.   On our first day we met Amgad in the Air restaurant for breakfast – all I can say is this is the guy you want to be serving you in the restaurant he will never let your glass be empty and is always checking to see if you need anything ( he needs a promotion ) as he is fantastic, we were also served by Vignesh and Hari in the Aqua restaurant and also in the air restaurant too again more fantastic servers.   Food this was ok but we are not lovers of curry this seamed to be the main dish served every day we did however speak to Indika the executive Chef and Munsoor the executive Sous Chef and they changed everything with the food for us their team of chefs are fantastic with special mentions to Lyton & Aktar the breakfast grill chefs as Lyton always has a smile and is so happy it is unbelievable, Jess the dessert chef her desserts are to die for there are other chefs that are also great.   We also had meals at the Aqua restaurant and was seated by Hari who is very polite and Vignesh who served us all night and both also work in the Air restaurant and when Amgad was on days off Vignesh would basically become our waiter he's is a very attentive waiter We also went to the stars restaurant for an evening meal and again this was everything you could wish for ( you must try Jess’s coconut Crème Brulé again Fantastic ),     breakfast and lunch are not so hot but hey you can’t have everything.   Some things to do whilst there Private Cinema on the beach – we did this twice as it is just so lovely we watched Grease and a Muppets Christmas carol as it was close to Christmas watching these films on the beach and under the stars is just beautiful. Private Island trip – God how relaxing is this just you a small island your host and sea, sun and snorkeling you also get food of your choice and plenty to drink Hammu and Shihan set this up looking how do I say just fantastic. We also did a snorkeling & nurse shark trip with MT or as I called him Shakira he is just so funny he also does the Coco Bodu show were the staff come together to sing and dance for you ( you will not miss MT ) This is not on the activity list but speak with Hammu & Shihan – Night Snorkeling as you see other sea creatures that you don’t see in the day like lobster’s, octopus’s, lion fish and various other creatures.   We first stayed in the Island Villa, these are massive, have a pool and very private, lovely to have a private bit of beach and sand between your toes, largest accommodation we have stayed in – absolutely lovely. Our room attendant was Alamin and he was fantastic We then stayed at the Residence – what can I say?  Perfect and stunning – extremely large (just has big as the Pool Villas but on water so extremely private. And the room attendant here was Jakir again fantastic both guys need a very big thank you as nothingness too much trouble for either of them Pleased we stayed in both of them to experience both properties as it is nice to have the sand between your toes for a while and then just to have the water – best of both worlds I think.  You cant go wrong with whatever accommodation you choose.    Well to summarize this is a fantastic hotel even the management are great all I can say is this Alexi you have a fantastic team working with you and just keep up the great work and I cannot wait to come back to see you all   Below are some pictures of the staff you need at this hotel   I will add this,     this is the only hotel in the Maldives that we would come back to and we have been to a few there……..   Ken, Sally & Mandy  

An incredible stay - after lots of research of resorts in the Maldives we went with coco bodu hithi. It really did not disappoint. We felt so well looked after, we were so happy with our water bungalow and the food was just fabulous. what really makes the resort stand out from other places is the staff. They are so friendly and kind and provide a great atmosphere. A special mention to Vikram from the room service cleaning dept. He really made our stay more enjoyable, he greeted us every morning and evening so kindly when providing room service. He made sure we had everything we needed in our villa and was the only staff member to keep asking us were we ok for everything. This place is truly paradise. We will be back for sure.

We had an incredible stay at Coco Bodu Hithi. Everything was great. We stayed in the water villa and it was excellent. All of the staff are very nice and made our stay even better. They are very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed talking with them throughout our stay. A special thanks to Vikram, who looked after our room during our stay - you were brilliant and very good to us and made our stay significantly better. Coco Bodu Hithi are lucky to have you.

What an amazing place, paradise. My husband and I was on a retirement holiday with the family and Nittu did so much to make our retirement special and my husbands birthday. Great restaurants, fantastic service, and accommodation was amazing too. My husband and I had a water villa and the rest of the family had beach villas all were out of this world. We would like to say a very big thank you to Nittu for making our holiday so special. So many happy memories. We would definitely recommend and will all be making another visit in the near future

Nittu was amazing from start to finish and has created life long memories for us all we all appreciated everything he did for us. We will miss him dearly! Thank you for making our holiday so special to each and every one of us. All the staff were lovely and amazing and made our time so great especially joy, sudip and Sourav.
