We had a wonderful stay. The room met our expectations, spacious and clean. The buffet was varied and very good, and we also had excellent meals at the Aqua and Star restaurants. Thank you to our server Sudip (buffet) for his kindness and professionalism, and to our host Sadheen for his warm welcome and responsiveness. We would recommend this resort without hesitation!

100% Trip of a Lifetime

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We booked Coco Bodu Hithi via our Travel Agent, but looked at the reviews and thought it was a good choice for our first and probably only holiday to the Maldives, which was on my bucket list ! The Boat transfer to the island is around 45 mins and was extremely bumpy, so much so that i dreaded the return transfer to the airport. Needn't have worried as boat back was a mere 35 mins and ride was great. From our arrival on the island everything was first class, we were ushered into lunch at the Buffet, which was a welcome chance to relax and eat, before check in, and being taken to our Villa, one of the yet to be upgraded Villas in the Coco Residence. It may not have been upgraded, but it was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything and more that we needed. The Pool was tired with some of the mosaic tiles missing or loose, but still absolutely fine. The Villa was sunset facing, which id requested, and the Residence water villas are set at one end of the island, very private, and in quite deep water, but perfect for snorkelling ! So many fish, Rays and Reef sharks to see!! There are quite long walks to the buffet restaurant, Aqua restaurant, the main bar and Japanese restaurant, but there is always a buggy that can be called to take you to where you need to be, but the walk through the island is beautiful. The Residence Villas are very near to the Stars restaurant, and bar, where we had breakfast every day, waiter service, and food was high quality and delicious, we also ate there twice for dinner. We were All Inclusive, which means you get 70 dollars per person towards the al a carte menu in all the restaurants, which was a wonderful bonus. As so many reviews comment, the staff and level of service were all without exception amazing! Special mention to our personal host for the Residence Villas Gowtham, whose attention to detail, and helpfulness was second to none. I very stupidly pulled a ligament in my leg on the panel coming out, ( don’t ask!!); but it meant i found walking extremely painful, and as there is a need to do a lot of walking in this resort, Gowtham provided me with a wheelchair which was a godsend, and meant i could fully enjoy my stay, and get everywhere i wanted to. There is also a buggy you can call so navigating the island and getting about was easy. There is a spa and Gym which looked beautiful, but I didn’t use. Yoga classes were also on offer, which had I not injured my leg I would have joined in. The food is a stand out feature of this resort, absolutely amazing across all restaurants and buffet, and please if you go, book the beach Barbecue it’s like nothing I have experienced before. I did note one review mention a big building project on a neighbouring island, you can indeed just see this island on the horizon, and if the wind was in the right direction hear the construction, but I definitely would not say it hindered or indeed affect our stay at all. I would dearly love to stay again, I felt we were in paradise, it was everything and more id dreamt it would be. We went in early February, the weather was good, sunny around 28 degrees most days, strong breeze which you expect in the Maldives, one afternoon of rain, which quickly dried up. It was perfect for sitting out in, not too hot, and there are plenty of places offering shade. I understood the resort was pretty much fully booked when we were there, but you were absolutely not aware of this, always plenty of seats in the bar areas, never noisy or busy, just relaxed and calm with wonderful service and smiling staff. Value for money, I’d say on All Inclusive we definitely got it right, its expensive in the Maldives, this resort probably mid-range from what I’ve read, but certainly rivals the high end resorts. Maldives is a long flight, so this is not a cheap holiday, but for my husband and I it was worth every penny, and we would love to come back one day….

Perfect Island Escape with World-Class Diving

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We recently returned from a holiday at Coco Bodu Hithi and honestly cannot fault a single thing about the island. The accommodation, service, food, overall experience and even the weather were all exceptional. Everything runs smoothly and the staff consistently go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is one of those rare places where expectations are not just met — they are exceeded. One aspect that might go unnoticed by some guests, but deserves special mention, is the dive centre — and more specifically Antonio, who runs it. He is incredibly experienced, calm, professional and clearly passionate about diving. Within a short conversation he convinced me to complete my Nitrox enriched air certification while we were there, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. The dives themselves were unbelievable: healthy reefs, abundant marine life and excellent visibility. Antonio adds a personal touch by sharing short video summaries after dives, which is a fantastic way to relive the experience and something we have never had at other resorts. The pricing was also very reasonable compared to other island dive centres, especially considering the quality of instruction and organisation. If diving is even a small part of your travel plans, this island should be at the top of your list. The dive centre alone makes it worth the visit, and combined with the overall resort experience, it becomes an unforgettable holiday. Highly recommended — we would return without hesitation.

Best of the best!

I cannot rate Coco Bodu Hithi highly enough. From the moment we stepped onto the transfer speedboat in Male, to the moment we arrived back in Male, everything was exceptional. The staff are the most beautiful people we have ever met...all of them so friendly, kind, humble and professional. The food was incredible and plentiful, the only problem being I put on two kilos in five days! It was our wedding anniversary while we were there and at dinner that night we were presented with an amazing chocolate cake as a present. When we returned to our room our bed had been decorated and a bottle of champagne left for us. We felt very special. We had an all-inclusive package and it was perfect, being able to enjoy a drink at Latitude Bar before lunch and dinner (or whenever else we felt like it). Our island villa was beyond words. We couldn't have been happier with it. We spent hours lazing in our private pool and on the daybed in the afternoons, after snorkelling off the beach in the mornings. Truly the idyllic holiday and we will definitely be back.

My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon so much at the Coco Palm Bodu Hithi. It is truly a great deal from Luxury Link. Great hospitality from the hotel for honeymooners, great buffet breakfast. Coco Palm is very suitable for couples who love privacy but a friendly environment, who love luxury without extravagance and extreme mark-up, who love relaxation but also choices of activities.
