With a philosophy that every moment should be a reflection of your passion and individuality, Coco Bodu Hithi warmly welcomes you to the paradise of the Maldives. This boutique property—a part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotel Group—provides remarkably warm and friendly service in a destination as idyllic as they come, offering 100 luxurious villas to call your home. Traditional island architecture and design forms the base for elegant and contemporary amenities, as high-pitched roofs and deep soaking tubs meet sleek interiors and dark wood accents. From the open-plan layout and dual outdoor spaces of the Island Villa, with its beachfront terrace and private outdoor pool, to the floor-to-ceiling windows in every room of the Escape Water Villa, with immediate access to the lagoon - your time and space are guaranteed to be sublime. Coco Spa offers even more indulgence with its menu of treatments inspired by Indonesian, Thai and Indian practices. You may also opt instead for an in-villa treatment for a private and tranquil experience. This is paradise, at Coco Bodu Hithi.

Beautiful location and high quality accommodation and restaurants. Staff are generally very kind and helpful, especially the restaurant staff. However it is not particularly suited to solo travellers. The sea creatures on the reef are incredible and the resident marine biologist and her assistant are very knowledgeable and helpful.

The Residence rooms are enormous and have beautiful views, the huge swimming pool is a special feature. However some parts are dated (the outdoor furniture is falling apart). We were in 624, at the very end of the pier which had its pros and cons. We had beautiful uninterrupted sunset views. It was certainly the most private villa however it’s the first to get hit by the waves of the ocean, making it very loud and sea legs are needed in high tides. Sleep was interrupted every night by the waves - we’ve not had this problem at other Maldives resorts and we felt nauseous around the room at times. If okay with this, would recommend it due to the privacy on offer. Although not the resorts fault, the residence on the right side of the pier now have a view of an island being built which does spoil the otherwise fantastic view - bear this in mind if selecting a room. The pier walking to the villas isn’t fantastic, there’s several planks that aren’t stable and it’s not very well lit. It’s a high bridge so you need to be careful, we can see that accidents could easily happen! Would strongly suggest the resort to put in additional lighting, as well as some more lights of the sea to see what is happening beneath you. The service was always friendly however having our Personal Assistant was always super busy (not her fault!) but meant we would have been quicker and easier booking/arranging things ourselves. Everything always seemed that little bit harder or more complicated than it needed to be. This was first evidenced at check in when we were told what was included in our honeymoon package, but this was noticeably less than the benefits from the residents package. After hours of back and forth, we eventually found out we couldn’t have both and would have to choose - we went for the residence benefits. Unsure if this was the resorts fault or our travel agents (Kuoni), but we should have been told of this in advance as it may have swayed our decision in picking a resort. This would have been more forgivable if it was sorted immediately, but meant we didn’t know what we could or couldn’t do until the end of our first day. The food was incredible at every restaurant across the resort. Aqua and the beach BBQ are must dos! Special shoutout to Vignesh (spelling!) in Aqua who was very personable. The drinks are your classic cocktails, no speciality resorts ones. The snorkelling was fantastic, the house reef was beautiful. We were able to snorkel with colourful fish and turtles right off the beach. We also took part in the coral frame planting which is a great initiative and look forward to getting updates on how our coral grows over the coming years. Overall, this resort is great but did not meet our expectations. It is certainly a fantastic resort, but is not the perfection (or even near perfection) we have experienced elsewhere in Maldives. If going, you will have a lovely time, but we would not rush back due to issues highlighted above.

We had a wonderful stay at Coco Bodu Hithi with our 9-month-old baby. We stayed in both an Island Villa and a Coco Residence, both were spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. The staff were incredibly kind. A special thank you to Misbah, our wonderful host, who supported us from the moment we arrived, and to Christine from the Kids Club. Our daughter Caterina absolutely adored her. Christine looked after her with so much care and love. The restaurant team was fantastic, always friendly, and the food was excellent. The buffet had lots of variety and we really enjoyed the à la carte restaurants. All were excellent and worth a visit. Aqua was our favorite, as you can even spot sharks while dining. Thank you to Sami, Hassan, Piyali, Srinivas, Sushila, Naif, and others whose names we didn’t catch. We also loved the Breeze BBQ on the beach and the Turtle & Shark Point snorkelling excursion with marine biologist Megan, which was an unforgettable experience. Thank you for such a special stay. We leave with beautiful memories and hope to return one day.

My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon so much at the Coco Palm Bodu Hithi. It is truly a great deal from Luxury Link. Great hospitality from the hotel for honeymooners, great buffet breakfast. Coco Palm is very suitable for couples who love privacy but a friendly environment, who love luxury without extravagance and extreme mark-up, who love relaxation but also choices of activities.
