Coco Bodu Hithi

We had an amazing time celebrating our honeymoon at Coco Bodu Hithi. We absolutely loved snorkelling with so many fish and turtles at the house reef just outside our room, and all of the dining areas had beautiful views and delicious food! All of the staff were so helpful and friendly! Special shout out to our guest host Liz who was wonderful in booking our activities and keeping us informed of events, and to the marine biologist, Meg, who guided us on a turtle snorkelling tour and gave a wonderful and insightful presentation! We would definitely recommend staying here!

This is my second visit to this resort and definitely not the last! In love with the vibe, awesome staff, beautiful room design, great food… the list is endless. Thanks for creating paradise on Earth.

My stay at Coco Budi Hithi was truly delightful. Dyan and the entire team were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming — their hospitality really made the experience special. The environment felt peaceful, and every moment there was relaxing. They also offered a 30-minute photo session, which was a sweet gesture. I received only two soft-copy photos as part of the complimentary package, and they were beautifully taken — a lovely little memory to take back home. As a vegetarian, I managed comfortably with the options available. The resort has a wider variety of non-veg dishes, but the veg food provided was tasty and satisfying. Warning! Huge construction site right next to the hotel! This hotel withholds crucial information about the stay. Right next to it is a massive construction pit – they are building a completely new island. Throughout the entire day you hear loud construction noise, and from the rooms you look directly onto the site. There is no “island dream” here – it’s more like an island nightmare! We confronted the hotel about the situation, as a clear notice or disclaimer is absolutely essential. They sell Maldivian island paradise at an extremely high price – but who wants construction noise and a giant building site as the view from their villa? You come here to relax, not to watch an island being built. The hotel showed absolutely no understanding and did not see why they should communicate this. Their reactions were extremely unfriendly, almost aggressive, offering neither insight nor any form of compensation. Because the situation was so unbearable, we decided to leave the island after just one day – this is not what we came on holiday for. We normally never write reviews, but we want to prevent future travelers from ending up in the same nightmare instead of the island paradise they’re promised!

Our visit was so incredible it’s very hard to put the experience into words that would do it justice. Simply amazing, absolute paradise. The resort is very well equipped and very well maintained. The staff are incredible and are a credit to resort. Special mentions to Coral our host, Coral went out of her way to accommodate our needs and made us welcome the moment we stepped foot on the island. Other special mentions are for Naïf and Venky for keep us refreshed in the bar, fabulous service, thank you. Also thank you to Liton the chef always on hand with a smile and a tasty treat, and Mohammed Ali for keeping our accommodation in the best of order. You all form part of an incredible team. I had the pleasure of having a back of house tour and was so impressed at the efforts towards sustainability, it’s really incredible. Thank you for the most memorable of times, we look forward to returning. I HIGHLY Recommend Coco Bodu Hithi. Quite possibly the best holiday I’ve ever had
