Coco Bodu Hithi

Coco Bodu Hithi is a real Maldives experience as the property is stunning with serene, clean beaches! Its hardly 30 mins speed boat ride away from the Velana airport which makes it quickly accessible too. We stayed in their gorgeous Beach Villa and Water Villa both - very cozy, lavish rooms. The property has great restaurants, and going with an All inclusive package is worth the money with great drinks and decent food options for vegetarians as well. They also have great snorkelling points and provide snorkel gear with a life vest for your entire duration and you can spot thriving sealife up close - all kind of fishes, nurse sharks, even a sea turtle showed up at our water villa! Special mention to our host Hajar who made our stay memorable by being there for every tiny request - she is very polite and makes you feel very welcome! Also to mention Sushila at the Laltitude Bar - a very warm person, and we had a great time with her recommendations at one of our lunches there.

The resort is on a beautiful island with incredibly well-appointed villas/residences. The island itself is immaculately clean and very well maintained throughout. From the moment you get off the plane until the moment you check in on the return flight, the staff go out of their way to help you and make sure everything is going well. We stayed in the incredible residence villas. The photos do not do them justice. Each room has a huge bed, a private infinity pool and direct access to the sea. There was a small rocky reef area about 2-3 minutes' swim time from the room, filled with incredible marine life and a dream place to spend time snorkelling. Each room had an indoor and outdoor shower, a huge bath, and a sitting room, providing ample choices to sit out of the sun if you want it. There are loads of activities to take part in, and countless places to just relax in the beautiful surroundings. One of the most important things, however, is the staff. Every single person we met was friendly, helpful and attentive. The staff at this resort set new standards in hospitality. It led to an awesome experience, and I really cant wait to go back.

Amazing!!!! The waters were crystal blue and our villa was so spacious. It was so nice to jump straight into the water. The staff were so kind and helpful. They really made the experience memorable. Would 10/10 recommended.

After a lot of research, we chose the Coco Budu Hithi and we weren’t disappointed. It ticked all the boxes. Spacious accommodation, private pool, several restaurants, a house reef and only a 40 minute speed boat transfer from Male. Lovely welcome from the beginning, speed boat transfer was excellent, and staff were fantastic for our full 13-night stay. The island is very well established, what I would describe as a true Maldivian experience. We had a water villa adjacent to the house reef, and it was the best place to snorkel daily and we also could see the array of sea life from our villa. Sharks, turtles and rays. Food was excellent at all restaurants- Air, Lattitude, Aqua, Stars and Tsuki. Drinks were plentiful and had a good choice. Enjoyed the outdoor cinema night on the beach, the sunset cruise and a spa afternoon. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The staff are an asset to Coco Budu and for us that’s what partly made our holiday so special. Our housekeeper Sadiz, (5 star rating) was amazing. Friendly, polite, always happy and always asked how we were and asked if we needed anything. A special mention to Mohammed, Vignesh, Ramyan, Sami, Coral and the Indian girl at Latitude with her infectious happy constant smile. We were lucky enough to see staff play in the final of their football tournament. Was a great experience to watch and enjoyed seeing how staff got on so well together. We supported Mohammed’s team (they lost unfortunately) but both teams did do well. We would highly recommend this island and hope Management keep up with renovations as the island is a true winner overall and would like to return one day.
