Coco Bodu Hithi

Ok, this hotel should be a 5 star rating. It is a 40 minutes boat ride from the airport. The rooms and beaches are spectacular as it the surrounding sea. The snorkelling is really good- where do you get to snorkel with Eagle Rays and small sharks? The restaurants and food are superb, the Sushi one is the best in my view. BUT….. they are building a new island to one side of this resort, so you may if you are in one side of the Coco Residences, Beach Villas or Water Villas , you may be facing it. We were , but it didn’t ruin our holiday and we had a fantastic time, Just think the hotel should warn you!

Our first impression of Cocoboduhithi was excellent, and we were very excited at the beginning of our stay. However, our experience took a disappointing turn when we moved from the beach villa to the water villa. Although our luggage had already been placed in a well-located room, the resort reassigned that room to a newly arrived Western couple and moved us to a different villa where the sound of the waves was extremely loud and disruptive. We raised this issue, but the female butler in charge simply told us that nothing could be done, which was very disappointing and unprofessional. Because of this situation, we felt uncomfortable and our overall experience was negatively affected for the rest of our trip. We hope the management takes this matter seriously and improves how they handle room assignments and guest concerns in the future.

Magical resort with excellent snorkelling right outside your room! Staff r very attentive and helpful The trips to see turtles and sharks and manta rays were wonderful Meg and her assistant marine biologist were terrific A must for the bucket list A shoutout to Hajar our beautiful hostess and Amjad at Air and actually all the wait staff, Yunus at Stars, Jalil our buggydriver and Rafiz at Safina Jewellery.

We are still on cloud 9 having just experienced 7 nights at Coco Bodhu Hithi. We were fortunate to have enjoyed an expansive Coco Residence with amazing over water and sunset views. From our arrival to our departure, we were so admirably assisted & guided by our experienced host Gowtham for whom we can not speak highly enough. The staff at all the amazing restaurants are so kind and determined to ensure that your glass is never empty or your plate not full. Of particular note was the service afforded to us by Gomes, Santosh, Younos, Moosa & Doni. Kylan’s knowledge of wine in Tsuki restaurant and his great service also deserve mention. The food & beverage team is being led from the front by Dimeda who whilst only new to the resort is clearly experienced and eager to enhance every guests experience. We were also fortunate to have experienced the luxurious day spa and again we can not say enough at how well the Spa Manager Dini and her staff, Santi and others, welcome and pamper you. The resort also offers an array of activities and a highlight for us was night fishing and a guided one-on-one night snorkel with the very knowledgeable Marine Biologist, Manon. Lastly, we must call out the efficient & discreet service afforded by our Villa attendant Rafike. All in all, Coco Bodhu Hithi is a fabulous resort, managed & staffed with beautiful people in a setting that is one of the world’s best. We can’t recommend it highly enough.
