We had a fabulous first stay of 5 nights at Patina Maldives, which was greatly enhanced by the exceptional efforts made by Choris Rusdiana and her colleagues (Ahu, Aiman, Moona, Monty, Roni, Ripee, Jessica and others). On our first night, we enjoyed a very special dinner with Choris and friends on the beach, with delectable Asian food from Wok Society, including the very special Peking Duck. (Thank you, Aiman!) Every meal brought new surprises, such as a Maldivian breakfast feast, a full English breakfast, an Asian breakfast, Indian Dosa and other specialities we might not have tried on our own. Everything was delicious, and we usually had to skip lunch because we’d eaten so well at breakfast. The array of food available at Portico was amazing, and everything was fresh and beautifully presented. You would need a good couple of weeks to sample your way through everything, and then you’d need to buy a new wardrobe! We enjoyed dinner at Farine (with an off-menu request for seafood pasta with Alfredo sauce that was happily catered for), Fari Beach Club for delicious sashimi, and a magnificent sunset “castaway dinner” on a floating platform in the lagoon in front of Portico on our last night. Many thanks to Anjil for taking beautiful photographs of our castaway dinner, creating everlasting memories of a special evening. Our essentialist Jalaal handled our various requests promptly and with good humour. My husband had a somatic massage by the visiting doctor, and I enjoyed a relaxing and therapeutic Japanese Watsu treatment in the spa pool exclusively used for that purpose. We visited the neighbouring Ritz-Carlton Maldives for a couple of lunches with friends and enjoyed the Eau Bar’s offerings in particular. Our beach pool villa was very spacious, stylish, comfortable, clean and quiet, with full privacy from the neighbouring villas provided by dense foliage. Thank you to Jailam, our room attendant, for keeping everything so immaculate. Patina is on a larger island than many other resort islands, and we enjoyed exploring it on bike and seeing the artwork. We loved every minute of our stay and very much hope we can return next year for a longer visit. Huge gratitude to Choris and Ahu in particular for making our first visit so special and memorable. 🫶

Patina Maldives is one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever stayed at. We truly appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the staff, their constant care for our needs, and the way they guided us to the best snorkeling spots and sunset viewpoints. The only small regret we had was that our room did not have a direct sunset view. In hindsight, we should have booked a sunset-facing villa, especially because I love swimming, and in our area the water was quite shallow. My recommendation is definitely to choose a room with sunset exposure. Aside from this, everything else was impeccable: excellent service, very good food, and special thanks to Dubby, who took wonderful care of us throughout our stay, as well as Wajiih, whose kindness and attentiveness truly stood out. We highly recommend this resort and would happily return.

I’ve been to the Maldives 13 times at different resorts, and Patina is truly the best among them all! What makes this island different: 1) People!! The team is amazing. We stayed on the island for 5 days, and by the end we already knew half of the team! Everyone was super nice, attentive, and friendly. People showed genuine interest in us, our hobbies, and made extra efforts to make our stay unforgettable. The team members are truly happy with their work and with each other — a healthy corporate culture and a genuine desire to satisfy guests really shines through. Thank you to our butler, Laamy, for the outstanding service, attention, and dedication! You stole a piece of our heart, and we are coming back because of you and the rest of the team. Thank you, Aika — your positive energy and happiness made our stay so bright and joyful! You are so cute, attentive to detail, and we loved your sense of humor :) Ronny, you are a local star, and it’s worth coming back just to hear your music! And to the rest of the team — housekeeping, waiters, everyone — you made our stay absolutely perfect. Thank you sooooo much! 2) Food! Plenty of restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines — the food is simply outstanding! I have never had truly good sushi in the Maldives before (with proper rice and high-quality fish), but the chef at Fari Beach absolutely nailed it! The lobster alone is another reason to come back. 3) Activities We had very busy days and still didn’t manage to try even half of the activities: clay lessons, yoga, diving (by the way, Nikolai, the diving club manager, can make you fall in love with diving — he’s super friendly and professional!), sound healing, massages, floating, water sports, tennis (Maxim is a top tennis trainer! Thank you also for playing on the sunny side of the court, so I could have some shade 🙂). 4) Island A huge, beautiful island with many hidden, private corners where everyone can find peace and enjoy nature. It’s the first island in the Maldives where I could easily walk 13,000 steps a day just exploring. There are definitely buggy and bicycles for guests to reach every corner. 5) Rooms Very stylish and spacious — everything you need is provided, including flip-flops and hats. I loved the high-quality finishes and design. 6) Proximity to the airport Only 50–60 minutes by speedboat. Our flight was at 23:00, and the boat left the island at 21:00, so we could enjoy the entire day at the resort. Seaplanes usually leave before sunset, but the speedboat is much more convenient. To summarize our experience: we loved it, and we will definitely come back! Thank you, Patina and the entire team! 💙

This was our 5th stay at Patina in as many years. It is our favourite hotel in the world. The staff and service has to be the number one reason, but it was the art and design that first attracted us. We are architect and interior designer so the style really matters to us. Although it is a man made island it has really matured and nature is in full force now… truly exceptional in every way
