Patina Maldives, Fari Islands

Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the staffs of Patina at the jetty. Fubu our excellent essentialist escorted us to our villa. At the villa, we were then greeted again with a pleasant birthday surprise with beautiful decorations and cakes. Special thanks to the team who made it very special, to name a few: Xen and Ali Rasheed they made memorable laser printed photos on wood, Safaë who made a really nice sand art, Nahbe & Muba for the beautiful decorations and Akmal for the evening service. We will never forget the beautiful F&B team at breakfast: F&B manager, Jessica, Ling, Ahu, Badheeu, Otman, Aimantey and generally everyone. They are so friendly and attentive to our needs specially with our kids despite being busy, they made sure the kids are happy and comfortable and, that us parents can enjoy the food too :D Patina has a lot of restaurants which offers variety of cuisines. During our stay we ate at portico, Helios, wok society, gp burger and fari beach club, we were delighted to have tasted such authentic and delectable food in all of those restaurants. The crispy eggplant from wok society left a mark on our palate and my husband’s favorite are the dumplings from the breakfast buffet. My daughter also can’t get enough of the ice cream from tuk tuk gelato. We also had an amazing time at Veli bar. We are so delighted to meet Ronnie and Dr. Shades (Angel). A huge thank you also to the footprints team Irem, Edi and Kai, for helping us celebrate my son’s first birthday it was really a memorable one and to the pasty chef who made a very lovely and delicious cake for my son. I was also able to enjoy the massage, yoga and Pilates at the spa. It was very relaxing and revitalizing. Geetha was really good and gave me some tips how to do the exercises properly. All in all our three nights stay at Patina in their beach villa had been unforgettable, relaxing and perfect.

We had the most amazing family holiday at Patina Maldives, and Muba made it extra special! He was always there with a smile, helping with everything we needed and adding thoughtful little touches that made such a difference. Our kids adored him, and we felt completely cared for the whole time. We’re so grateful — thank you, Muba, for making our trip truly unforgettable! 💛

When you have the entire resort’s leadership welcome guests on arrival will provide you a sense of the warmth even before you start your stay. Throughout my 5 nights stay, the warmth & friendliness of the staff was consistent when I dine, at the spa, at the boutique & when I set off snorkelling. I had an Essentialist assigned to my villa (a personalised butler) who went above and beyond updating each day on the daily activities. This resort on Fari Island provides a serene atmosphere due to layout of the resort. My one bedroom beach pool villa exceeded my expectations on the luxurious layout but most importantly the privacy of a dedicated plunge pool steps from the beach. In summary you are made to feel special and have the flexibility to personalise your day. Keeping my bracelet which acts as a key card is something unique to remind me of my stay. Highly recommend for couples and families too.

From the moment we arrived, the service at Patina Maldives set a new bar—especially for guests with dietary needs. * **Davron, our Stay Essentialist**, was exceptional—warm, positive, and relentlessly helpful. He helped me plan a surprise for my wife and even refined it around weather changes, adding personalized touches I never requested. He sourced my medical supplies despite hurdles, juggled every change and cancellation with a smile, and never once made us feel “difficult.” We felt important and genuinely cared for the entire stay. * **Moonis, the restaurant manager**, was wonderfully observant and kind. He noticed my wife was struggling to find safe options at breakfast and arranged custom allergen-free meals—not once, but multiple times. He also made sure her allergies were clearly on our profile so every restaurant knew in advance. Across venues, the staff treated her restrictions as a welcome challenge rather than a burden—something we’ve never experienced at a hotel before. A special shout-out to the team member with braces who worked at TukTuk Gelato and at Portico breakfast on Oct 13. During a heavy downpour, he opened the gelato truck just for me and then handed me his umbrella so I could stay dry—while he got soaked. Above and beyond. Dining Food throughout the resort was delicious. In-room dining consistently accommodated custom dishes for my wife’s allergies without hesitation. We never felt like our requests were an inconvenience. TukTuk Gelato was tasty—though we’d love to see more flavors added over time. Activities: We missed the ceramic workshop, and Davron arranged a private session. Our instructor, Nishaan (a marine biologist), was a fantastic teacher—knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to talk to. We loved this experience. Beach The beach is beautiful with crystal-clear water, and we even saw schools of fish right from the shore—very cool. Because it’s **man-made**, the sand under the water can be rocky. Bring water shoes to avoid sore feet. Lots of little crabs on the beach, which added to the charm. Room: The bedding was wonderful, more comfortable than any other hotel bedding we have experienced and the room was beautiful. Our only hiccup: ants occasionally found their way inside. It didn’t define the stay, but worth noting. Value & treatment on points: We booked on points and were treated impeccably—if anything, with more care than expected. There was never a hint of being “lesser” because it was a redemption.

We had a wonderful time at the resort despite the rain. Had a great time speaking with most of the staff at the restaurants and their unforgettable hospitality.
