Patina Maldives, Fari Islands

Our family of 4 just enjoyed a magnificent week at the Patina. It was honestly the best holiday we have ever had and will be very hard to live up to! The atmosphere at the resort was nothing short of magical- the beauty of the scenery but also the understated elegant decor, lighting and music. We went on a couple of fabulous snorkelling/ fishing boat trips but we could also just swim out from the beach outside our villa with swimming goggles and it felt like swimming in a tropical fish tank. Another highlight was the extensive variety and number of activities available each day. There was something for everyone ranging from Pilates and sound meditation to daily football coaching for our energetic 9 year old son. All the staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and perfect…a special shout out to Ali, our son’s brilliant football coach, Asfal (sorry if I have spelt his name incorrectly) the wonderfully creative personal trainer and to Nabbe our fabulous essentialist who coordinated our stay, recommended activities and made everything happen so seamlessly and instantly for us! You are a magician! The resort really was perfect. The only small improvements I would suggest might be to provide a bit more indoor seating with fans or air conditioning at the restaurants! I found sitting at some of the outdoor tables uncomfortably hot due to the humidity….but this is a very small thing. Otherwise I cannot find fault with this heavenly place! We will be back! Alix G

This was my second time staying at Hotel Patina, and it confirmed everything I felt the first time it’s truly amazing. From the moment you arrive, you feel the difference. Everyone is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your stay perfect. They listen to your wishes, anticipate your needs, and make you feel completely taken care of. The facilities, the amenities, the rooms… everything is beautifully maintained and designed for comfort and serenity. There’s a real sense of peace on the island that’s hard to find elsewhere. Our stay at Patina Maldives was truly exceptional from beginning to end. We travel often and can be quite demanding guests, yet this experience exceeded all expectations. A very special thank you to Arey, our Essentialist, who took wonderful care of us throughout the stay. He was always present exactly when needed, discreet, efficient and genuinely kind. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy a truly memorable and seamless holiday. We would also like to warmly thank Rasheed from the F&B team, who helped organize our different dinners and lunches with great professionalism and kindness. His support was highly appreciated. A big thank you as well to Guillaume, the manager, who was always very pleasant, attentive and welcoming. A special mention also to the Diving Center team, who were fantastic throughout. A sincere thank you to Ali, who guided us for our first dive and made the experience both enjoyable and reassuring. More broadly, every member of the staff we met was friendly, warm and professional. The level of service was outstanding, but always delivered with sincerity and elegance. We had an amazing experience and leave with wonderful memories. We sincerely hope to return.

Our Villa was very beautiful, we really loved the concept. The pool and sea view from bed was very calming. Villa and the whole island was very clean and nice. All the staff were very friendly and kind. Shoutout to Dao who helped during our stay. Definitely worth the value.

The Maldives is a true paradise. It is hard to find anything negative there, let alone a hotel that can truly set itself apart from the others. But Patina does exactly that — so much so that this was our second visit. Set on a large island with beautiful sandy paths perfect for long strolls, Patina also offers a fantastic selection of restaurants with top-notch dining. We especially loved Brasa and Wok Society, but every meal — whether at the villa or by the pool — was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, with a relaxed Tulum-inspired feel. Every little detail makes one happy. What truly makes Patina stand out, however, is the service. They have an incredible team, and I only wish I could name and thank each person personally. We also did a 3-day treatment plan with Dr. Shekar, who was excellent. He helped us reconnect with ourselves and kick-start a mental reset that we carried home, leaving us truly relaxed and refreshed. A special thank you as well to Afsal and Geethachali at the gym, who made this trip much more than just downtime by helping us stay active, stretch, and feel our best. Patina is truly an exceptional resort.
