We had the best time. They really take special care in catering for the whole family. Lots of things to do everyday and the service is top notch. The whole place is super clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating. The island itself is of course stunning. They have a large offering of food choices and the free ice-cream and sorbet everyday will always be a plus! I can’t wait for us to come back!!

This was our second year in a row staying at Patina Maldives with the family, and once again, we had a fantastic time. If anything, this stay was even better than the first. It’s around a one-hour boat ride from the airport, which we actually really like. The location feels nicely away from the crowds, and the journey is part of the experience. The resort is very clean, well maintained, and has a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Despite being a luxury resort, it never feels overly formal or pretentious, which is one of the things we really appreciate about Patina. We also feel it offers good value for money compared with many other high-end resorts in the Maldives. The staff throughout the island were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone always had a smile and made us feel genuinely looked after. A special mention has to go to our Essentialist, Muba. He was fantastic. He was always one step ahead, took care of all our requests, arranged our restaurant bookings and activities, and basically made everything so easy for us. He really made a difference to our stay. We stayed in a two-bedroom Sunset Overwater Villa, which was beautiful. It was spacious, comfortable, and had amazing sunset views every evening. Having our own pool, outdoor space, and direct access to the water made it feel like we had our own little piece of paradise. The food was another big highlight. There’s a great choice of restaurants, with enough variety that we never felt like we were eating the same thing. Everything we tried was really good, and the overall quality of the food is definitely one of the best we’ve experienced in the Maldives. Breakfast was also excellent, and having it brought to the villa every morning was such a nice way to start the day. The beaches and lagoon are beautiful, and there’s plenty to do without the resort ever feeling too busy. We really enjoyed exploring the island, swimming, and spending time together as a family. The atmosphere is relaxed, quiet, and stylish at the same time. One thing that really impressed us was our last day. Our flight was late in the evening, and instead of having to leave the villa early and wait around, the team kindly let us stay until 8:00 pm. That was incredibly helpful and made our last day much more enjoyable. Coming back for a second year really confirmed that our first experience wasn’t just a one-off. Muba and the whole team made another family trip very special, and we would definitely come back again.

We spent five wonderful nights at Patina Maldives, and the experience was truly memorable from beginning to end. A very special thank you to our butler, Safa, who was incredibly attentive, caring, and gentle throughout our stay. She genuinely made our experience feel special and took such wonderful care of us and the kids. She became such a special part of our stay, and we will truly miss her. A special thank you as well to Chef Pema, who always brightened our breakfasts. He was warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made our dining experience particularly memorable by introducing both us and the children to new dishes and encouraging us to try different things. A special thanks to Mahamod who was also extremely attentive and always made us feel at home. Ruby and Nishan, who were wonderful with the children; and Kai from the Kids Club, who was kind, patient, and somehow managed to give each child individual attention even when it was busy. Leo, whom we met at our final dinner, was incredibly warm and kind and made our last evening particularly memorable. We also really loved the design and layout of our beach villa. The only downside for us was that the beach villas overlook the water villas, so the view from the beach is not completely unobstructed and the privacy is not the best. This was really the only negative point for us during the stay. Aside from that, the villa itself is exceptionally well designed to make the most of the beach and ocean views. Whether you are lying in bed, using the indoor shower, or enjoying the outdoor shower, you can still appreciate the beautiful view. It is clear that a lot of thought went into the positioning and layout of every part of the villa. The outdoor bathtub was also a wonderful touch. Its placement outside overlooking the beach made it a particularly relaxing and special part of the villa. The outdoor space around the pool deserves a special mention as well. Everything is perfectly positioned—from the swing and seating areas to the outdoor dining table—so you can enjoy the surroundings from almost anywhere. We honestly felt that the photos on the website do not do the villa and its outdoor space justice. It is far more beautiful when you experience it in person. We also really enjoyed the more casual dining options. They added a fun and relaxed vibe to the resort and were a nice alternative to the restaurants. We were genuinely surprised by the quality of the food—the burgers were excellent, and the shrimp bao was especially delicious. Another thing that we have experienced across all the high-end resorts we have stayed at in the Maldives: some male staff fragrances can be quite strong, particularly during dining. While we understand the need for freshness in such a hot and humid climate, we feel lighter, more neutral scents would better complement the natural surroundings and dining experience. Similarly, the woody scent used near the breakfast buffet to keep flies away was quite strong early in the morning and could affect the appetite. These are relatively small observations in what was otherwise an exceptional stay. Everyone we met at the resort was professional, warm, and friendly. One thing that truly sets Patina apart, beyond the quality, beauty, and luxurious experience, is the art of engaging with guests. The team has mastered that delicate balance of making you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for without ever making the interaction feel excessive or tiring. Conversations felt natural, thoughtful, and perfectly timed. For this, a very special thank you goes to Guillaume, the manager, who we believe has had a real influence on this culture. We felt that same approach reflected throughout the team, and it made a noticeable difference to our experience.

The entire experience was wonderful. The cleanliness, hospitality, service, warm welcome, staff, food, atmosphere, facilities for children, programs, and services — everything was excellent. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

room 168 and 220 both a lot far from the main area, but Safa always pick up us very soon, she’s so nice. My little daughter was vomited on the fifth day, the doctor was really good as well as.
