Best server ever! Alec was entertaining, had great suggestions, was right on the minute with the service and anticipated our every need. We were entertained extremely well and laughed until we cried. Can NOT wait til we return - thanks Alec, you are the best! 💕

Sebastian is a great server, he truly goes above and beyond to give every guest a great dinner experience. If you’re a family of 4+, I recommend not get seated by the bar as it is uncomfortable. Other than that, amazing food! Sushi, ramen, and desserts were personally my favorite and highly recommend!

Tl:dr - Room was similar to a motel 6, not what was booked, and there was construction going on right outside the door. Spend your $ elsewhere! I won’t be coming back. Full review: The room description did NOT match at all the description on the website. The room on the website stated “the room opens up to a balcony”. Nope. It doesn’t, it’s the walkway to the room. There’s no balcony, no windows, no view of anything because you can’t even see out of the room because there’s frosted glass. There was also major construction with heavy equipment vehicles going on right outside the room, making it impossible to rest during the day. And they would start early in the morning. I called the front desk and asked about getting a new room, they said no, they were all full. I pointed out how their website said there would be a balcony for the room I booked and they said since I didn’t book directly through them, they’re not responsible for the description or the room matching? Anyway, the lady lied about them being full, because I later found out there were more rooms but they would need for us to pay for the upgrade, and would not be offering anything complimentary even though their descriptions were inaccurate. I eventually stopped trying to work with them because we were only there 2 nights and I didn’t want to spend more than the few hours I had already spent trying to get them to fix their mistake. Side note - it takes forever to check in, and when we finally got to the front of the line the guy at the front desk was talking to his girl coworker about personal stuff and didn’t acknowledge us for like 2 mins as we just stood there. It was just awkward, and I think their front desk needs some serious work. Services outside of that for food / drinks was ok.

Our family has been members there for many years - my parents bought back in 1999 and I became a member about 10 years later. We visit every year but this year we had such an amazing experience I just wanted to write and call out a few of the employees that made our trip extra special Martin: We've known Martin for years and he's usually the first face we see as we approach Paradise Village - working in the little booth outside of the entrance. Martin remembers us every year and is always so friendly and welcoming. This year we booked some excursions through him saved a little money with his advice. Cesar: This was my first year meeting Cesar in the spa (massage / hydrotherapy area). He too was so friendly and welcoming. His professionalism, attention to detail and thoughtfulness was superb - always there to offer a refreshing green tea or a cool towel or to serve as a makeshift timer as I would do my hydrotherapy circuit! Notes on the resort: We also enjoyed all of the new renovations this year – the Tikal tower looks amazing and the much-needed modernization is a great look. One thing we were saddened about was the relocation of the animals but if Daisy and the birds are happier in their new location that's the important thing. Things were a little noisy at times due to the construction at the Coda tower but I realize that really isn't preventable. Very much looking forward to our next trip! We've always loved the resort but the employees are what make the experience extra special for us!! Nick S
