The Mulia

We recently stayed at The Mulia and it was honestly one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience was exceptional. The staff were incredible, so friendly, attentive and always willing to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they really made our stay feel special. The food was another highlight. Every meal we had was delicious and there was so much variety to enjoy throughout our stay. We stayed in a Garden Suite which was beautiful, incredibly spacious and very comfortable. It felt like the perfect luxury retreat. We also loved the peaceful location, away from the hustle and bustle of Bali, which made it so easy to relax and unwind. It truly was an amazing holiday and we can’t wait to come back again next year.

We booked 6 nights with luxury escapes in September 2025. The hotel was beautiful, the beach was clean, the restaurant food was delicious and the amentities are plentiful. We stayed outside of aussie school holidays so we didn't find it super busy, no wait for breakfast tables, easy to find pool chairs during the day. We did find the restaurants all needed booking in advance (and the sashimi buffet at Edogin was only on weekends). The buffet was so extensive and after trying Edogin (highly recommend if you love Japanese food) and Table8 (don't waste your time) we just kept going back to the buffet as it felt like it had every cuisine imaginable and many dishes were cooked fresh in front of you so felt more a-la-carte. Our room was a Mulia Grandeur Deluxe and the room was lovely and spacious, top floor however only view was of surrounding gardens. Felt very luxurious with a Toto toilet! Whilst the hotel is generally quiet, the soundproofing isn't great as it was tested one night when one of the ground floor units decided to have a loud pool party with music and chatter around 10pm, I felt like terrible asking them and reception to reduce the noise. One important thing to note is that not every area of the hotel complex is available to those booking "The Mulia" - felt a bit like a second class citizen when we walked around having to ask if we could use specific pools or security asking us our room number if we walked too close to restricted areas. Top tip - if you don't have lots of inclusions there are a couple restaurants/cafes on the beach right next to the hotel complex that are super cheap and tasty and a convenience store/ATM that is walking distance to top up on beverages/snacks to store in your room/mini fridge

elected the Mulia for my 60th birthday - the staff were sensational and our Buttler Gilbert organised a special birthday dinner, spa date, flowers and balloons. it was truely memorial. All staff at food and beverage locations were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Despite the weather, we only had one day around the pool, but I enjoyed a swim in each of the pools daily - usually had the pool to myself.

The whole resort is amazing. This is our third time visiting. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. Putri, Ardi, Maha, Angga, Buhdi, Desta, all the staff at every site. They remembered our names, our room number and the food and drink we liked. Shout out to our butler Andre and his care that everything was fantastic for us. The restaurants on site were fabulous too.
