Our return visit more than lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles and exceptional service. The staff were always attentive, welcoming and ready to assist. Our suite was spacious, impeccably clean and extremely comfortable. The resort grounds are beautifully maintained, with meticulously cared-for gardens that create a truly relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. There are many sun beds by the crystal clear pool and on the beach. The resort offers a wonderful range of cuisines across its many restaurants, so there is something to suit every taste. The breakfast selection is particularly impressive, with an enormous variety of options to choose from. One small tip: if you feel the cold from air conditioning, it’s worth bringing a light jacket or long-sleeved shirt to use as an extra layer, particularly when dining indoors. Another wonderful stay — we look forward to returning again!

We had heard about The Mulia for years, so our expectations were high. Our stay nevertheless exceeded them, and we came away with many fond memories of our time there. If we return to Bali, The Mulia would certainly be one of our first choices. Dining During our stay, we had the opportunity to dine at a number of venues, including The Lounge, Living Room, Soleil, The Café and the pool bars. Soleil was particularly enjoyable, with its beautiful and relaxed atmosphere and excellent food. It was a lovely setting for a leisurely meal and became one of our favourite dining experiences during the stay. We also appreciated how the team responded to small requests. On one occasion, we ordered chicken noodles through in-room dining and asked if we could have a little extra broth. The staff brought us a large separate pot filled generously with additional chicken broth. It was a small request, but we appreciated how generously it was accommodated. The Pools The Mulia has several pools, each with its own atmosphere, so there was always somewhere different to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed the Courtyard Pool. The complimentary cabana provided a quiet and comfortable place to relax. It was a peaceful spot where we could take a break between swims and enjoy some time away from the busier areas. We also enjoyed spending time at the Oasis Pool. After swimming, we would often go to The Lounge overlooking the pool for afternoon tea, which gradually became part of our daily routine. Sitting there after an afternoon swim and taking in the pool views was one of the most relaxing parts of our stay. Support in Unexpected Situations On one occasion, our child accidentally fell into an ornamental pond in an indoor landscaped area at Mulia Resort. The staff at Mulia Resort wrapped our child in a bath towel to help keep them warm and arranged a buggy for us. When we returned to The Mulia, a member of the lobby team, who had already been informed of what had happened at Mulia Resort, came to find us and asked whether our child was alright. We appreciated that they had taken the time to check on our child personally. It was also reassuring to see that information had been shared between the different areas of the resort. On another day, after breakfast at the Living Room at Mulia Villas, our child suddenly became unwell and was sick in the lobby. A Korean member of staff immediately came over to assist us and dealt with the situation calmly and discreetly. They also gave us useful advice about seeking medical attention and made sure that our child could rest comfortably on the sofa. Both experiences left us with the impression that the staff were not simply responding to requests; they were also paying attention to what was happening around them and stepping in when help was needed. Thoughtfulness Until the Very End After checking out, while we were waiting for our driver, a member of staff presented us with a beautifully wrapped box of chocolates. It was a small gesture, but we appreciated the kindness shown to us at the very end of our stay. A Special Thank You to Those Who Made a Difference Looking back on our stay, we remember the kindness and assistance of many members of staff. However, there are several people who made a particularly positive impression on our family, and we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks. Our Butler – Mahendra We would like to extend our special thanks to our dedicated butler, Mahendra, who took such good care of our suite and our family’s needs throughout our stay. He was always prompt and attentive, and we always felt comfortable approaching him whenever we had a request or question. In particular, on the day we had booked a cabana, we arrived an hour before our booked time. Mahendra and his team were nevertheless happy to assist us with the arrangements and made sure everything was in place. Buggy & Activities – Ketut Ketut was assigned to us as our buggy driver, and this was how we first met him. During our buggy ride around the resort, he drove at a relaxed pace and naturally explained the various facilities and areas along the way. This was very helpful in familiarising ourselves with the layout of such a large resort. When we arrived at the villa lobby during the buggy ride, we took some photographs and had a look around the Living Room. Ketut waited for us while we did so and then drove us back to The Mulia once we had finished looking around. As we were due to have breakfast at the Living Room the following morning, it was particularly useful to have had the opportunity to see the area in advance. He also prepared a bubble bath for our child and looked after us in several other small ways during our stay. On our final day, he made a point of coming to say goodbye to us personally. We appreciated that he remembered us and took the time to see us off before we left. The Lounge – Pery Pery remembered exactly which wine I preferred. Whenever my glass was nearly empty, he would approach with a smile and offer me some more Chardonnay. It was a small detail, but I appreciated that he remembered such a personal preference and responded to it so naturally. Mulia Villas – Korean Member of Staff We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the Korean member of staff who assisted our family during our stay. When our child suddenly became unwell and was sick in the lobby, they came over immediately to help, dealt with the situation calmly and discreetly, and also gave us useful advice about seeking medical attention. We were particularly grateful that they made sure our child could rest comfortably on the sofa. At the time, we were so flustered that we were unable to thank them properly. Their calm and prompt response allowed us to focus on looking after our child with much greater peace of mind. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to express our thanks once again. Oasis Pool Bar – Ogy Ogy always greeted us with a cheerful smile whenever we were at the pool and was naturally attentive whenever we needed anything. His pleasant manner made our time at the Oasis Pool even more comfortable and enjoyable. The Bar – Pande We only visited The Bar once, but Pande gave us a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. He greeted us with a big smile, and along with the pleasant live music, his warm welcome made our brief visit a lovely way to end the day. Edy Handrias – Executive Assistant Manager Finally, we would also like to thank Edy Handrias, Executive Assistant Manager. We appreciated the interest and consideration he showed during our stay, which contributed to making our experience a particularly positive one. A Resort We Would Return To The Mulia is a beautiful resort with a good choice of dining venues, impressive facilities and several pools, each offering a different atmosphere. What will stay with us most, however, is the way members of staff responded when we needed help, including on occasions when we had not asked for it. Our sincere thanks to Mahendra, Ketut, Pery, the Korean member of staff who assisted our family, Ogy, Pande, Edy Handrias, and all the other members of The Mulia team who contributed to making our family’s stay comfortable and enjoyable. If we return to Bali, we would be very happy to stay at The Mulia again.
