Reviews for The Mulia

Heaven for body and soul

As you enter the magnificent resort lobby you will be captivated by the wide open 30 ft high doors at the far end leading to the view from the top of the resort. You leave your daily world behind immediately. The interior design will embrace you with never ending impressions of space and an invitation to slow down and just look. While you wait for your room to be ready, walk down the broad spiral staircase and explore the restaurants and shops. The Mulia Suites Highly recommend to book a suite with ocean view. It’s great value for the money also if you include the full service options which provides for both breakfast and generous dinner or lunch. The suite is very spacious and you will find yourself resting in the double lounge chair on the terrasse in the morning for great sunset (6am) and in the evening to listen to the rolling thunder of the ocean. The Staff It’s hard to beat Balinese friendliness. The Mulia staff puts it yet at another level. Their cordial work atmosphere for the large staff creates a stress free environment in all areas, specifically for the breakfast at The Mulia, which we preferred compared to the large breakfast at The Cafe. Ocean view from all breakfast tables is opening your mind in the morning. You can sit inside or outside. It’s not impossible to mention all the staff that created this experience for us but here are some of the great people: Dayu, Ari, Adi, Ogy, Okta, Hana. Some of them will even remember your name after just a few days. Cannele Cafe Is a must visit EACH day. Creations of french pastries are amazing. Coffee tastes really good. You can also get small lunch items here. They have a great selection of special teas which is a good take home memory. And their staff, in particular Tara, makes the experiences even sweeter. Mulia Gym Great staff. Solved the problem that we had no sneakers by borrowing some to us. Best part of the experience: luxurious showers in the locker room to freshen up without going to your room. Mulia Spa Walking in from the lush greenery you walk into this serene sanctuary. After your rest with your refreshment drink, cold wet towel to freshen your face and discussing your treatment, your therapist is waiting for you in one of the private rooms in the back. Starting with gentle washing of my feed my therapist Nina introduced herself and we had a brief chat that made any further words during the actual session unnecessary. Nina has a touch and passion that is second to none and is by far the best I have experienced over many years of good massage sessions. She will gently and passionately take your muscles on the journey while taking your mind along into total relaxation state (body and mind). The closing gong calls you gently back into reality. During your refreshment drink at the spa bar you will be planning your next massage. Summary The Mulia is not a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience though it may feel like it. We will come back (and you will too!)

Perfect family holiday

The Mulia Suites are fabulous! Large rooms, two toilets, private jacuzzi, private butler. Very comfortable beds. Excellent service from all the staff. The resort is immaculate, stunning gardens, excellent pools & food quality is excellent. We have stayed in both the Villas & Suites. They are both excellent. The private pool in the Villas & outdoor area is superior. However I preferred the Suites as the rooms are larger and it is close to beach.

Great honeymoon spot

My new wife and I spent 5 nights here as part of our honeymoon to Bali and had an amazing time. Key highlights: - Big luxury resort in good location. - Rooms were amazing. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. We paid for an ocean-view suite and it was absolutely worth it. - Food was excellent with several choices of venue for each meal. The teppenyaki live cooking experience at Edogin was particularly good. - Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and proactive in making it a great stay. We had two private meals and were waited on by Andre and Sri respectively, who were both wonderful. - The Spa was the best I’ve ever been to. My wife and I got a Couples Sensation massage and it was the best massage both of us have ever had. Gita and the staff at the spa were outstanding. - The pools were fantastic. - Easy transport to airport. Some considerations: - It’s a bigger and busier resort, so occasionally service was on the slow-side. - Nusa Dua beach itself is not necessarily the nicest beach ever. Whilst the area near the resort is quiet, there sand was quite coarse and there was a decent about of garbage in the water sadly. - There were quite a lot of families with small kids at the resort, so if you’re looking for something quiet I would recommend looking somewhere adult only. Overall excellent stay and would happily highly recommend to anyone heading to Bali.

Amazing swimming pool, perfect beach at the doorstep, lots of food options, spacious rooms (We were in a suite at The Mulia rather than the Mulia Resort) very helpful concierge, and incredible staff.
