About the Hotel
Econdido Oaxaca is the new addition to the Grupo Habita collection of unique hotels that use architecture, design, and history to provide an authentic experience to guests. Tucked away in one of the most culturally-rich places in Mexico - Oaxaca City - resides Escondido Oaxaca, a Hotel whose main mission is to represent all that is authentic. We have recovered the original construction to house the restaurant, bar, “Culture Room”, patio and four rooms. A contemporary tower was added to the back of the Hotel where eight more rooms are located (two with patios and six with balconies). A mix of old and new; honoring the great wealth of Oaxaca: the savoir-faire of its artisans. Note that this hotel can be noisy.

Hotel Escondido Oaxaca is a Dream Escape
Hotel Escondido is a dream escape tucked away in the heart of Oaxaca. The property itself is stunning, seamlessly blending nature with elegant design. Rooms are impeccably crafted—thoughtful, serene, and stylish. The on-site restaurant serves delicious local fare that truly elevates the experience, and the staff? Warm, welcoming, and wonderfully attentive. I’ll 100% be returning. Highly recommended!

Don’t hesitate! This is a great hotel!
Hotel Escondido was lovely. The staff all around were incredible nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean, had excellent amenities and comfortable. During the evening it was quiet and romantic. Great location and a great place to stay while in Oaxaca.

Great stay in a beautifully designed hotel
Amazing service - everyone who worked at the hotel was super nice; nicely designed rooms, with a comfortable bed; nice little pool on the roof; and great location. I had read about it being noisy due to bus traffic, and there was some noice, but it was not as bad as I had read about and I always got a good night's sleep. My only quibble is the price point - it is very expensive for what it is. Over $400/night and there is no gym, the rooms are on the smaller side, and breakfast does not include hot offerings (those are charged separately). It is beautifully designed, has a great vibe and really welcoming staff, but I might try someplace else next time that provides a little more value for the money.

Magical Oaxaca!
Clean Trendy hotel - the location was great - so close to everything. The staff was extremely nice and helpful - we were always greeted with smiles and the question, "How can we help you?" They helped arrange a driver for our multi day excursions - the archaeological sites and surrounding artisan villages. Oaxaca is magical and Escondido Oaxaca hotel made our stay even better! Thank you!
