About the Hotel
Econdido Oaxaca is the new addition to the Grupo Habita collection of unique hotels that use architecture, design, and history to provide an authentic experience to guests. Tucked away in one of the most culturally-rich places in Mexico - Oaxaca City - resides Escondido Oaxaca, a Hotel whose main mission is to represent all that is authentic. We have recovered the original construction to house the restaurant, bar, “Culture Room”, patio and four rooms. A contemporary tower was added to the back of the Hotel where eight more rooms are located (two with patios and six with balconies). A mix of old and new; honoring the great wealth of Oaxaca: the savoir-faire of its artisans. Note that this hotel can be noisy.

Great Oaxaca experience
Awesome experience at this lovely boutique hotel. Attentive service and very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

A stylish and comfortable stay with outstanding service
What a beautiful stay we had at Hotel Escondido Oaxaca! The room was gorgeous and comfortable (including a beautiful private balcony), the location was fantastic and walkable to everything, the shared spaces (rooftop cocktail bar, pool, breakfast/restaurant) were gorgeous and well-staffed, and the service - to a person - was friendly, generous, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Other highlights: great breakfast selections, tasty cocktails, and deliciously-scented in-room supplies (shampoo/conditioner/body wash/location). I don't know if our travels will bring us back to Oaxaca anytime soon, but I know that - if they do - we will absolutely stay at Hotel Escondido Oaxaca. It was truly exceptional.

The people are what made this hotel wonderful .. they truly were so kind and never said no just found out a solution for us ! The cinnamon rolls for breakfast were the best we have EVER had!

High end option for Oaxaca, next to city center
I spent 3 nights in this hotel on a vacation trip to Oaxaca. The hotel is very close to the historic center of the city. The staff is very welcoming, with a person at the door at all times who actually knows your name. Breakfast is free, limited but very tasty options. The rooms are in modern style, with bare floors and minimalist furniture. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean with a good shower and hot water. I would have liked more towel racks, but that is a minimal issue. There was a beautiful terrace with bar, you can see a great view of the city form it especially at night. The pool was nice, but we did not try it. They have available massage therapy, excursions. We had a free dinner which was quite good. Overall a little expensive but worth the money, especially for the staff (thanks Sabino!) and overall relaxing mood of the place.
