The resort is beautiful and in a great location. This is not a resort for adult couples, it is more of a family friendly resort. Don't rent a cabana, it is not worth it as kids are everywhere and it isn't separated from the gen pop of pool goers. The pool is very loud with club style music blaring, with a small hot tub.

The hotel location was right in front of the sea, so it was really great and the staff at the hotel were very friendly. Also the breakfast was great. Everything was just super nice, I’ll definitely come back here

A Hidden Gem We Wish We'd Found Sooner Okay, so as someone who basically treats San Diego's 4 star hotels like a monthly ritual (we do a staycation once or twice a month, no shame), I figured I had a pretty good handle on what this area has to offer. We've stayed at pretty much all the usual suspects, Estancia, L'Auberge Del Mar, Kona Kai, Rancho Bernardo Inn, and a handful of others in regular rotation. For years we totally skipped over Mission Pacific Beach Resort in Oceanside because we just assumed it wouldn't stack up to our usual coastal go tos further south. Yeah, we were super wrong about that, and honestly kinda kicking ourselves for not staying here way more often than those other spots. The second we pulled up, a doorman was right there to greet us and help with our bags, and we were handed a welcome cocktail before we'd even finished checking in. Little things like that set the tone immediately, and it was obvious this place is just on another level. The oceanfront vibe is gorgeous, the design hits that sweet spot between modern coastal cool and actually feeling cozy, and every single staff member we ran into seemed genuinly happy to be there, not just going through the motions. Honestly, Mission Pacific feels like it belongs in the category 5 star resort tier based on all the little nuances that most 4 star spots just don't bother with. The rooms come stocked with a Nespresso machine (a small thing, but a game changer when you don't want to leave your robe), the spa facilities are seriously next level, and they even roll out the red carpet for our pup with thoughtful dog amenities that made him feel like a VIP too. Down at the beach, the butler service hooks you up with chairs and umbrellas so you literally don't have to lift a finger, and the grounds are spotless, like, impressivly clean no matter what time of day you walk through. Every corner of the property has that polished, intentional decor that feels curated rather than just decorated. Compared to Estancia, L'Auberge, Kona Kai, Rancho Bernardo Inn, and the other 4 star resorts we frequent, Mission Pacific is hands down our new favorite, it's a clear step above in finish, service, and overall vibe. Add in the walk to the pier, the cute revitalized downtown Oceanside scene, and how the resort just blends right into the community, and it feels way more like a real getaway than just another hotel night. We're already planning our return, hopefully for a longer stay next month, and I have a feeling Mission Pacific just locked in the top spot in our staycation rotation for good.

Hotel is in great condition. Front desk is knowledgeable and has many years of experience with a pleasant demeanor. Valet staff was efficient, timely and helpful. Housekeeping was professional and reminded me 5 star resorts. Pipers has great food. Hotel feels more secure than it should be.

I can't say enough about the great location, immaculate and clean hotel, and amazing restaurants at both Mission Pacific and Seabird. This hotel could be a 10 if they didn't keep making mistakes on my bill that I had to stay on top of to keep from being overcharged.
