I absolutely love Mission Pacific and return again and again because it is that spectacular! I live locally, but it has become such a special place for me and genuinely feels like a home away from home. A huge part of that is Erick Ramos. He is exceptional and has an incredible way of making every visit feel warm, welcoming, and personal. His kindness and genuine care for guests are something you simply don’t find everywhere. The entire experience here is consistently wonderful, and I always look forward to coming back. Erick and the team have created something really special. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough!!

We have stayed at the Seabird several times but always heard that for couples the Mission Pacific was the better choice. So, we finally decided to check it out. The rooms and the lobby are very nicely decorated and clean. It’s a very different vibe from the Seabird. A little more adult and a little more upscale. We didn’t try all the restaurants but thought it was so cool that An’s gelato was in the top gun house right out front. The highlight of the MP (for us) is the rooftop pool area, complete with hot tub and a bites and cocktail menu. We got to swim in the pool for exactly one night. On the second night we were told “sorry pool closed for private event.” Well ok, we will be back tomorrow. “No, pool area will be closed for the next 4+ days.” I’m sorry but how is this ok? The rooftop pool is a large reason we stayed here, and it’s unavailable for multiple days?!? Apparently if we had called in advance you can check on that. Wild that any hotel would allow this. Like maybe close it a couple hours at night but for days on end? Not a big fan of this policy, and if we wanted to swim at the kid friendly Seabird pool, we would have stayed there instead .

We held our son's wedding's welcome party at the Seabird, and had a number of out of town guests stay at the hotel for a 5 day weekend. The staff, the restaurants and the facilities were awesome. Steps from the beach, Michelin restaurant, music playing during the day and cocktail hours, and always attentive staff (even with wine at check in :-))....they were awesome! I had a mixed memory of Oceanside from growing up in San Diego, but Seabird/Mission Pacific changed my mind. What a great place...

The resort was excellent. Check-in was easy and being offered a glass of wine was a big plus. The staff were great..everyone from the front desk to the room service staff were very friendly and helpful. When I called to front desk to get towels, I got them in minutes. I scheduled room cleaning easily and the staff did a great job. Our room was VERY clean. Overall, it was a great to stay. We were able to use both pools . The beach was across the street. Being able to get beach chairs and an umbrella (both included at no extra charge) was a big plus. The beach staff were great.

Overprice daily parking. The hotel mis lead me about the parking across the street and I was forced to take the valet parking at $55 per day.
