The Seabird delivers a fresh take on the classic Southern California seaside resort experience, with grand coastal architecture, breezy living spaces with private balconies, and stunning Pacific views. Plus an expansive pool deck, multiple dining options, and a luxury spa. All set directly on the beach – so close you can see the surfers paddling out in the morning and hear the crash of the waves as you sip cocktails with the setting sun.

We had an incredible family vacation at the Seabird. They have so much for families and kids that it made our stay even better. Beach concierge where they will set up chairs, umbrella, sand toys, towels and more - YES PLEASE. They also had a daily craft that my son loved participating in. These are the things that will make a parent over the moon! We will be back soon.

This property is one of the best kept secrets in Southern California. Amazing service and vibe. Great staff and amenities. The rooms and the views are quintessential socal. I highly recommend the premier ocean front rooms with a wrap around deck and floor to ceiling windows framing the pacific coast and crashing surf. Perfection!!!

This is a Hyatt affiliate located in Oceanside right on the Pacific coast. I am a lifetime Globalist and I’ve stayed at hundreds of Hyatt hotels around the world my expectations, admittedly, we’re very high for this resort …unfortunately, my expectations were not met and as an avid Hyatt Honors participant I feel compelled to advise the Hyatt community as to my experience. While I won’t go into great detail. I will summarize my disappointment as follows 1. The hotel caters to the beach, going crowd offering beach parking as well as dining services. What this does is creates an exceptional congestion at valet parking resulting in waiting times of over 30 minutes. Additionally, beachgoers clogged the family restaurant and I we were able to have breakfast only once out of four tries the average wait time an hour and 30 minutes 2. When inquiring about breakfast I was told to simple “eat in my room” as a reasonable alternative. Really? 3. The accommodations well nice were not exceptional. I reserve two rooms one in Ocean view and one a partial ocean view. The average rate for the ocean view was 700 per night. The average rate for the partial ocean view was 500 per night I requested higher floors upon check-in. I received a second floor ocean view. There was partially blocked by two palm trees and my ocean partial ocean view room had absolutely no ocean view whatsoever Upon inquiry the front desk I was told well the lower floor sometimes get blocked and that’s just how it is no offer to remove rooms or make additional accommodations 4.I did reserve a dinner reservation at the same restaurant that was overcrowded and was placed at a table adjacent to the kitchen when I requested a different table I was told sorry there’s nothing available. 5. the food was mediocre at best and I recommend if you stay here to visit the numerous boutique restaurants along the beach as a longtime Hyatt member I am a big fan of the Hyatt brand unfortunately this hotel did not meet the normal Hyatt standards and I was extremely disappointed with our stay

we chose this place to redeem our category 1-7 award from Hyatt and also good recommendations from our friends on online blogs. Check in was awesome; we arrived a little too early but they were still able to give us a room before noon time. We got upgraded to a pool view and we were also given a rollaway bed for free. Rooms are nice though I wish they were more spacious but still very nice rooms. Housekeeping took a little while for extra towels but its understandable as I think there was a wedding ongoing so hotel was super busy. We had breakfast the next day around 1030ish and it was packed; took more than 5 minutes to be seated and another 5 minutes to have a server but regardless; the buffet options were great and our bellies was filled to the brim. We went swimming after and this is probably the only con for our entire stay; perhaps because its summer or the hotel was just packed with families and kids but if you ever go under the pool I can certainly bet that you would think twice to step in; there were hairs; boogers, spit and all kinds of nasty things underneath that water and it seems the pool hasn't been cleaned for days or weeks perhaps. If I could only take a picture; I'm pretty sure you'll be disgusted as well; it cut our pool time short and we spent a bit more time in the jacuzzi but we're definitely going to twice in the future in going into the pool. Other than this downside; kids were pretty bummed we were still able to get a late check out so we just took a short afternoon nap & went on our way home. Granted it was a free stay; the pool issue is one con we may have to consider if we ever plan in coming back here; but overall it was a nice hotel; have a nice ambience and the beachside location is definitely a plus. Thank you!

If you are not traveling with small children, please skip this hotel. The pool is small and overcrowded with children. Not ideal for couples. Also, the hotel’s restaurant called Piper, is a pass. Don’t forget the $50 daily resort fee and $50 daily valet parking fee.

The hotel setting is beautiful and it has the basic resort vibe, however I feel it should have a bar of soap in the rooms as well as a beverage cart or coffee in the lobby in the morning for guests.
So although nice it’s probably not “first class.”
