Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and I would especially like to recognize Mariam at the front desk for her warm, welcoming, and helpful service—she truly made a positive impression.

We love this resort! Just relaxing and fun. Everyone is amazing and friendly. We were only here for 1 night and would definitely come back for a staycation!

The hotel itself is nice. The location is good, but I have two major complaints to bring it down to a two star. The first and most important is the mattresses are absolutely the worst of any hotel. I’ve stayed at in the last five years. I’ve stayed here twice, and I wake up with aches and pains, you can feel every spring. They need to invest in new mattresses. You are not a top-notch hotel without a top-notch mattress do not stay here if mattresses matter to you. The second complaint is the service. If you call the front desk wanting to book a room, they pick up within a couple of rings. If you call up the front desk looking for service after you’ve already booked a room expect to let the phone ring for 3 to 5 minutes before anyone picks up if anyone ever does pick up. They do have a texting service, but it’s very impersonal.

We stayed at the Seabird Resort for seven nights over spring break, and the location was absolutely perfect. It’s right on the water and within walking distance of so many shops, restaurants, and things to do. The pool area was also a highlight, beautifully located on the third floor with ocean views, plenty of loungers, and a hot tub that was actually hot. The gym was one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever used. Unfortunately, there were several major downsides. Parking was a huge inconvenience. Valet was $55 a night, and while there was cheaper parking across the street for $5 a night, you had to wake up at midnight to renew it to avoid getting a ticket. The spa prices were also outrageously high, so we ended up going elsewhere for services. The biggest disappointment was the beds. I’ve stayed at Hyatt properties all over the world, and they are usually known for being very comfortable, but the beds here were awful. We woke up with sore hips and backs every morning. That issue alone is enough to make me not want to stay here again. The food situation was also frustrating. Piper required a reservation for breakfast, but that was not clearly communicated anywhere. The evening bar/lounge had very limited food options, and the pool bar and food service were only available on two days of our stay. On other days, we were told to go downstairs to the bar and bring drinks back up ourselves, which was not what we expected from a resort at this price point. The most unacceptable issue, though, was the fire alarm system. On the second day of our stay, the alarm went off for about 30 minutes in the middle of the day due to a system issue. A few days later, it went off again at 3 a.m., forcing guests to evacuate and wait outside while the fire department cleared the building. There was no fire. After we were finally allowed back to our room, the hotel then tested the fire alarm in the middle of the night and announced over the speaker that it was “just a test.” The very next day, the alarm in our room went off while my husband was simply taking a shower. The system was clearly unreliable, and none of these incidents were due to an actual emergency. Overall, while the location and a few amenities were great, the repeated fire alarm issues, uncomfortable beds, frustrating food options, and parking problems made the stay far below what we expected for the price. We would not stay here again.

We stayed at the Seabird Resort for seven nights over spring break. The location is excellent, right on the water and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The pool area and gym were both standout features. Unfortunately, the stay had too many issues for the price. Parking was inconvenient and expensive, the beds were extremely uncomfortable, and food options were limited unless you had reservations. The biggest problem was the fire alarm system, which went off multiple times during our stay, including one middle-of-the-night evacuation, all due to apparent system issues. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and we would not return.

The hotel setting is beautiful and it has the basic resort vibe, however I feel it should have a bar of soap in the rooms as well as a beverage cart or coffee in the lobby in the morning for guests.
So although nice it’s probably not “first class.”
