Ojai Valley Inn

We, a group of three friends, are going a couple of times per year for a spa day and always have been enjoying it. We usually go in the summer. This time we had to reschedule our trip and ended up going for a spa day on a cold (for Southern California) Tuesday in November. We arrived at the spa and the lobby was pleasant, but once we passed the lobby and entered the women's locker area, it was chilly. We did mentioned it to the attendant, but she was not interested. Uptstairs was cold as well and tea was not available till after the treatments. Got our coats and went to the spa cafe to be told that it does not open before noon, but they were willing to let us sit down and have a cup of tea, once we purchase everything at the takeout counter. The banana bread was given to us in a paper bag, but once we found ourselves a table, sat down and asked for, we received plates. back at the spa, we got our treatments that did not disappoint, but again, all around it was cold and unpleasant and maybe the worst, the water in the shower was cold. The attendant offered to call somebody, but after waiting for 15 minutes, we decided to skip the shower and get dressed, so we can warm up. obviously we left the spa much earlier than we were planning to and when asked about the experience we tried to explain it to the attendant, but he as a few others before him did not seem to care. I understand that sometimes things can happen, even though I would have appreciated to be informed when I arrived that there is a problem with the hot water. Also, I would have appreciated if the attendants would have tried at least to offer an apology for a bad experience for which we paid around $400 each.

Exceptional experience. Very staff we encountered went above and beyond. Room, Spa, restaurant, Gift shop was outstanding.

Beautiful campus, with very friendly staff. Tons of amenities! Activities galore! You can stay as busy as you want, or just sit back and enjoy the views.

Very beautiful grounds, rooms could use some updating- furniture is dated and bulky. Close to town and the live music was nice.

Wonderful property and wonderful guest service. Overall, a great stay. The room was very well appointed and you could feel the high level of hospitality throughout the stay.
