Our Omaha roots run deep at Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, and in capturing the spirit of the city we call home, we look to our rich heritage to inspire our fresh approach to modern hospitality with a hearty dose of Midwestern charm. Take one look at our revitalized 1920’s landmark building, an elegant icon of Second Renaissance Revival architecture, and you can sense there are more than a few stories worth discovering inside.

Beautiful hotel with lovely atmosphere and offerings. Some improvements needed. I went here as part of a relaxed “girl’s outing” with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and chic, the building is beautiful. Be prepared to pay $35 for valet parking, despite the parking lot being quite small and easy to navigate. To management: given the price of the accommodations and money spent while at the hotel, I recommend omitting the valet fee. Many of the doors in the stairwells need repair and are difficult to open. Enjoyed the social hour with complimentary beverages. The breakfast at the restaurant on the main level was quite good. However, the hotel lost power after our food had been served. They were unsure how to collect payment and asked us to wait while they figured it out. (I had a meeting to get to.) They asked if we had any cash on us, which was reasonable. Then asked if we could call back later and pay over the phone for the meal, which is a bit ridiculous. I am not one to request a “comped” meal, but at that point I think writing off a breakfast fee ($15 omelette) would be reasonable, which did eventually happen. We dined at The Committee, which was a bit underwhelming for the pice (see separate review: mid-range dining experience). The beds and pillows were very comfortable, beautiful bathrooms. The hotel was very clean. The pool and hot tub are lovely, as is the outdoor bar. The gym is clean and spacious with a couple of weight machines and dumbells, treadmills, etc. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful.

Beautiful restored hotel. Loved our room, the common areas and the bar and restaurant. Wished we had more time to enjoy the pool. It was gorgeous! From the moment we pulled up and the bellman assisted with our bags and car the service was outstanding. We hope to return soon

Wonderful hotel. Shout out to Bri in valet services. Her “no problem - we got you” attitude was refreshing after the long drive from Colorado. Her compassion for customer service and attention to detail shines bright. Hope to visit again when in the area. All the best - 😊
