Reviews for Hyatt Regency Orlando

My oh My what a Wonderful Stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This is the second time I've been to this Hyatt and again it did not disappoint. It's a gorgeous hotel, whether you are here for a conference or using it as home base for your Disney/Universal/Sea World adventures, this is a great location that allows you to feel like you are insulated from the outside world or could get lost in the theme parks/nightlife in the area. The staff are accommodating, the rooms spacious, the pool (s) are catered to a particular group (Grotto is more a family/friends experience, Terrace is a quieter place to lap swim or just read a book while half your body is submerged in water. As is typical, the marketplace food is overpriced but it's also satisfying and their restaurants are viable options if you don't want to venture out. Don't want to be stuck in the gym? Take a walk through the hotel's conference center that links to the Convention Center...it's the size of an airline terminal and you'll get your 10,000 steps in no time. A few caveats, check-in can be slow-ish during busy times and the hallways can get outrageously hot. Temperatures in general are going to give those sensitive to extreme cold and heat a run for their money. You leave the chill of your room for the humid heat of the hallway only to be greeted by the regulated temps in the elevator and then another blast of cool hotel a/c mixed with whatever the outdoor weather is coming through the reception area. My work paid for the hotel so I can't speak totally to price, but looking at the regular rate of $150-ish per night, I'd say this is more than a great value...but I know parking is also pretty steep!

Subpar - many better options in close proximity

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Continuously terrible service at this international drive location (once part of the famous Peabody) that continues to degrade. Hyatt globalist standards ignored yet again playing games over upgrades and providing terrible offerings in their Regency club - I hope to the new ownership either changes leadership here or reflags eventually. This was once an amazing place to stay but now there are many better options whether you are there for a convention or not. I do have to give up them credit for still having the space and some offerings for a club level but the truth is the food offered is terrible. There are signs that you are not supposed to remove food from the lounge which makes sense but now there are even signs asking that no family take more than 4 soda cans or waters. I assume this lounge will be extinct soon.

Great Resort hotel for Conferences

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Nice experience at one of the many resort hotels in the area. Really good rate considering it was the summer. Some of the best conference food of the major hotel brands. Pool area is average compared to the other resort hotels in the area. No complaints. Customer service was attentive, especially the folks at the desk.

Great and Amazing!

Amazing experience! Hotel rooms were amazing, comfortable, and clean. Came for Animate Orlando. The place is so huge!!!! Staff was amazing and all the hotel restaurants are great for convenience and food. The sky line connection to the convention center of Orange County was very helpful and convenient. Would stay again for sure!
