Hyatt Regency Orlando

The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orlando was a surprise compared to other grand hotels like the Grand Ole Opry that was severely disappointing. This hotel exceeded my expectations in many areas including the food quality, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, the extra amenities like the gym and the valet were prompt and professional.

The hotel is conveniently located for both the convention center and access to the restaurants and entertainment choices on International Drive.

I've been attending FPTA conferences over the past 30 years. This by far was the most unique experience for me because I came recovering from a surgery. The staff was excellent as were my accommodations, food choices, and ample space to move around without feeling claustrophobic. Overall, it was a grand experience. Thank you.

This was a fantastic stay. I have frequented this particular Hyatt property, so I already knew that the standards were high. However, the overall service and Food & Beverage across the property on this stay exceeded my expectations. To start off the stay, I received a warm welcome from the Managing Director and his team. The front desk team has always been quite good (and the check-in area is particularly welcoming with the serene images displayed on the ultra-high-resolution screen spanning the entire length of the front desk counter), but Mia was a standout. Her professionalism, efficiency, and follow-through on matters was notable; she is among the best that I have encountered at the Hyatts (Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, Andaz, Park Hyatt, etc.) around the world. As the club lounge was closed during my stay, I was able to experience Descend 21, the Market, the B-line Diner, and Fiorenzo. On the first three, I was pleasantly surprised by the F&B offerings. For example, I did take-out for the bulgogi beef and citrus salmon and brought them back to enjoy in my suite; they were quite good. With regards to Fiorenzo, it has always been wonderful, but even the F&B here (as well as the service) seemed to be even better than before. For example, Sky-Angel at the hostess station was extremely gracious and accommodating. In fact, I would say that she is among the best that I have encountered staffing the hostess station at Fiorenzo. I was also fortunate enough to have Sasha staff my table. As always, her personality, care, as well as culinary suggestions and descriptors were all wonderful; to further this, Sasha was as helpful as the staff in the hotel proper by giving me a brief on the Tower 1 upgrades and suggested that I made sure to stop by the newly renovated Terrace Pool of Tower 1, among other suggestions. This made me feel quite at home, and Sasha/Fiorenzo exuded the aura of being an intricate part of the Hyatt team. Somehow (it was already excellent before), the overall F&B at this property has gotten even better. In addition, although the staff has always been very good, the Hyatt staff on this stay were all helpful in a variety of ways (unsolicited) and made my stay a memorable one. As I look back on my Hyatt stays over the past few months (Manila, Lisbon, Tampa, etc), they have all been excellent; however, for all intents and purposes, this was a “perfect” stay.

Nice hotel. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Lots of good options for food. Staff was wonderful
