A great weekend stay! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and check-in was very easy and informative. The room was fantastic (we had a King Suite Balcony room--highly recommend) and it exceeded our expectations in quality within the finishes, technology, size, cleanliness, and noise level. Massive shower with a ledge seat, too! We did have a reservation on our arrival Saturday night to experience the Nectar Room restaurant, but unfortunately, we were notified about a day ahead of our arrival that a wedding party had booked the space for the evening of our reservation (Saturday night). While that was disappointing, the guest relations team made up for it by offering us a round of drinks, and even guaranteed us a 4 pm late check-out on our departure day. A great way to resolve the situation, even though we'll have to try for Nectar Room next time. The Nectar Room restaurant is only open from Thursday to Saturday (we stayed Saturday to Monday, so that Saturday was our only night of opportunity). We requested our room's living room sofa bed to be made up for the 3rd member of our travel party, and unfortunately, when we returned to our room on Friday night, the sofa bed was not made. I had communicated this via our Guest Arrival Form (sent to me about a week before our visit), as well as in an email chain with Guest Relations about 2 days prior to arrival. This was somewhat disappointing, but after using the in-room iPad messaging system, a housekeeping rep was sent up within just a few minutes to make the bed. I wasn't thrilled with having to have a staff member come up to our room at almost 11 pm for something seemingly so trivial, but it wasn't super obvious how the couch unfolded, and I couldn't find any sofa bedding materials within the room, other than pillows. Alas, they resolved the issue within minutes, and the employee sent up was very pleasant and didn't seem like she was 'inconvenienced' by the request. Great problem resolution, overall! We ate at Garni Cafe on Sunday morning, which was a great breakfast. Great portion sizes considering item prices. The following day for breakfast (Monday), we opted for the in-room dining (same menu as Garni Cafe). The service did take a while to deliver the food from the time we placed the order--I would estimate it took about 45 minutes to arrive to the room--but it was equally delicious as the previous morning's breakfast. Since we had our 4 pm late checkout that day, we figured we'd take advantage of staying in our beautiful room for breakfast that day. The pool was pleasant to spend time around as well. I went down there for a quick swim and to lounge on the poolside chairs, and the weather cooperated with me for a great pool session. Hot in the sun, comfortable in the shade (with a strong breeze that afternoon, as well!). I ordered a beverage using the poolside service, and while it did take about 15-20 minutes to deliver the one drink, it was delicious. I took it to the room with me before we began getting ready to pack up and leave the hotel, to conclude our great stay. Helpful tip: the hotel is nearly in-line with one of the runways to nearby Orlando International Airport (MCO), so if you don't mind the sound of jets throughout much of the day, it's kind of cool to see the air traffic as it passes by, especially if you're into planes and like to bring binoculars! However, if you're an individual or you are traveling with someone who is bothered by the sound of air traffic, I would definitely avoid the property. My travel party didn't mind it at all (personally, I found them kinda cool to watch), so it didn't really bother us. The rooms are very quiet, but you can still hear the jets regardless of how well insulated the rooms are for sound. Another tip, for those curious and who travel with Amex Travel benefits. Here is what we received through the Amex Hotel Collection, which the Lake Nona Wave Hotel is part of: -$100 Experience Credit to be used on dining, spa, or other property charges (not available at the 'Nami' restaurant or on taxes, tips, parking, etc.) -$60 daily breakfast credit per day per room (can be used on in-room dining) -12pm early check-in, when available (we didn't arrive until after 3 pm, so this wasn't applicable to us) -Late checkout, when available (this was obviously accommodated to us with our 4 pm late checkout, however that may have been influenced by our Nectar Room reservation cancellation as I previously mentioned) Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel! A funky, modern, and clean hotel with great service. Although, with that in mind, I would say, don't be in a hurry for absolutely everything or expect 'instantaneous' service everywhere. Relax a little while you stay! I definitely plan to return soon.

Experience at Lake Nona Hotel was amazing. The hospitality was 10/10 very welcoming. Housekeepers went above and beyond with the cleaning and neatness every moment we left out the room. I love everything about this stay. Guest relations are also very helpful and understanding. I’ll definitely stay again.

Celebrated our anniversary with a staycation at the Wave hotel. King suite with balcony was absolutely wonderful with floor to ceiling windows, large balcony, two comfortable rooms, etc. On-site restaurants and bars are top notch! Location is near fun venues like Boxi Park and other restaurants and shops. Didn't feel the pool cabana's were worth the cost.

If you’re interested in finding a luxury resort close to MCO, this is the stop. 2nd time staying at the property and will return again. Well appointed rooms, comfortable bedding, great food and bar options and an amazing staff. Jorge at the Garni bar was super welcoming for breakfast and Anna at the Living Room was an absolute pleasure. Love the technology, free self parking and EV chargers galore.
