Lake Nona Wave Hotel

Perfect location for an adult girls trip filled with fitness, relaxing, dancing, and good food. Would definitely come back again.

After passing by The Wave on 528 so many times, we were a bit excited to actually book a stay here while my husband had some medical scans done. With a discount from the medical facitlity and a bit of an off time of week we had no real excuses even for my budget gremlin. We were not disappointed. They are a pet friendly hotel so even our four-legged friend was invited to keep us company and calm. The hotel is uniquely decorated in a fun and artsy way which blends well with their sculpture garden in their back yard. Because we did have the discount code we upgraded ourselves to the suite with a balcony where we could watch the cows moooove around and flights land at MCO. Our room was perfect and a dog bed and bowls were provided which I found a nice touch. My dog being the bougie type was more than happy to eat from real bowls and not his travel bowls. The staff was friendly and helpful from the valet to the bartender for our celebratory drink before bed. The hotel is located close to downtown Lake Nona which has its own charms and restaurant/bar choices. If you are a runner like myself the ipad used to run the room has a section called Hiking/Biking. Click on that you will find rounds ranging from a 5k to a half marathon and it is all on trails and keeps you off major roads. Overall we went into this trip a bit nervous for the scans and for trying a hotel that from our vantage on 528 was in the middle of nowhere to being shocked, amazed, and talking about booking a staycation here next year. I will make a small note and comment on the fact that they are in the landing pattern for MCO, but once tucked inside your room the sound proofing keeps things quiet and you hardly notice any overhead noise.

I can’t say enough great things about The Wave! Our company meeting went smoothly thanks to their outstanding hospitality team. I worked closely with Anne, who was attentive, quick to respond, and wonderful to coordinate with. The accommodations, food, and entire team at The Wave were exceptional.

The Wave Hotel has a relaxing atmosphere with a very eclectic and modern decor. The rooms are very clean, high-tech and spacious, including the bathroom with a ceiling to floor wall-window overlooking Orlando. We dined at Bacan, delicious Latin inspired cuisine and Nami which has a tasty Asian fusion menu. The hotel sits between Orlando airport and Disney making it easily accessible for everyone. We are looking forward to returning.
