12 nights — Great Disney location - but expensive!
Booked for 12 nights with British Airways before spending 2 nights in a Disney hotel. The hotel is pleasant and well placed for Disney, though less convenient for restaurants and other amenities. A family meal cost $120, and breakfast was $80. The Waldorf Spa is attractive but very expensive. As Hilton Honours members, we received a snack basket and a high-floor room with a Disney view (including Epcot and HS fireworks) which was welcome. However, only two of the four lifts functioned; in a 1,000-room hotel hosting large conventions, this caused queues, and with children on the 16th floor, stairs were not viable. Dining and drinks are very costly, although takeout is possible—something we preferred not to rely on for two weeks. The shuttle to the parks was consistently on time, comfortable, easy to spot and air-conditioned, surpassing Disney transport. Yet it serves multiple parks and can take up to 45 minutes, making the early entry benefit ineffective unless using Lyft or Uber, which cost about $9 to most parks. The pool was nice, with complimentary towels and decent sun loungers. We expected to enjoy it more, but it was very busy and loud during the day, resembling an Ibiza DJ set. The slide closed at 5 p.m., so it was unavailable after the parks.
