What sets this Ritz-Carlton, Osaka, apart from other excellent hotels is the people! On my last trip, Simon, the loyalty manager, saw that I was having trouble getting a taxi, so he came out to help! That little extra.is why every time I go to Osaka, the Ritz is the only place for me! Looking forward to coming back soon!

Such a great experience overall! Osaka is beautiful and this hotel is just brilliant. Great room, great view and the friendliest and most helpful staff ever. I would give it a 9.5/10

From the moment we arrived, it genuinely felt as though we had stepped straight into the set of a Christmas film🎄We travelled with our one year old, who was treated with such kindness from start to finish. The hotel was decorated so beautifully for the Christmas period, which made the whole experience feel even more special for our little family. The staff were incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. A special mention has to go to Simon. Some people just have it, and he is one of those people who was simply born to embody the spirit to serve. He has such a natural ability to connect with guests, not just with us but with everyone around him, making each person feel welcome and genuinely valued. We’ve travelled across many countries and stayed in countless hotels, but he is someone we will always remember. You can tell he has years of luxury hospitality experience, and he is the kind of person who makes you want to return to the hotel just to have another conversation with him. Thank you, Simon, for handling us with such care and kindness. We even had one of those moments we’ll treasure forever: our daughter took her very first steps in our room while in room dining was being delivered. The lovely lady who brought our food ended up celebrating with us, genuinely sharing in the excitement as if she were part of the family. It was such a special memory that we will always associate with this stay. Oh and the bed, best sleep we’d had in a long time! The train set in the lobby was also a beautiful touch, and the children absolutely loved watching it go around. The small gestures from all of the staff made such a difference – from in room dining offering warm milk before bed for our little one complimentary, to the matching pyjamas (even for our daughter), to the way they tucked her teddy into bed so that when we returned from a day out, she found him waiting for her. It completely made her day. Everyone knows that the way to a parent’s heart is through their child, and they truly made us feel so happy and cared for. A hotel can be as beautiful and elegant as you like, but without the right people, it will simply remain that: a luxury hotel. Here, the people genuinely made it memorable. We will recommend The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka to anyone heading to Japan, because it is something you need to experience for yourself.

I had been debating between staying at the W or the Ritz Carlton, as I'd be able to get more space at the W, but ultimately chose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Osaka due to the amazing service experience I'd had there previously, and I was very happy with my decision after our most recent stay. It's hard to explain just how amazing the service is at every part of the stay. From emailing the hotel with questions before we arrived, to an extremely welcoming and efficient check-in process, through to our day-to-day interactions and check-out, you are made to feel at home and very looked after. The lobby was set up for Christmas while we were there, with a train setup that the kids loved. I can see why some guests might not like the 18th century manor style, and to be honest I wasn't that into it on my first stay, but it has a unique charm to it and is a nice change from other hotels. The rooms were refreshed in 2024 and while they look the same, are noticeably improved. The rooms are very comfortable, with lots of very well thought through features and amenities. The turndown service each day was very appreciated, and one of the better turndown services I've experienced. The food options at the hotel itself are excellent. We had breakfast daily, which had a good array of western and Japanese options, which had slight changes daily. The restaurant level at the hotel is very impressive with several different excellent options which was very convenient. There are also plenty of nearby excellent restaurants. Our experience staying at the Ritz was a key part of why we enjoyed our recent trip to Osaka, and I highly recommend it.

During our stay at The Ritz, Simon made a point to introduce himself, and from that moment it was clear why he is so respected. He carries himself with a calm confidence and sincerity that immediately stands out. There’s a warmth in the way he speaks to you - genuine interest, not scripted hospitality and it’s something Tim and I both appreciated instantly. What meant the most to us was the way he took the time to connect beyond the surface. He shared a little of himself, asked about our travels, and created a sense of familiarity that felt effortless. When he invited us to experience Osaka on the bikes, it wasn’t just a kind gesture, it was something thoughtful and personal, and it became a highlight of our trip. It’s rare to meet someone who represents a brand so naturally. Simon embodies the true spirit of the Ritz-Carlton: gracious, attentive, and deeply human in the way he looks after people. Thank you, Simon. You added a meaningful touch to our time in Osaka, and we genuinely look forward to crossing paths again..whether here or in South Australia.
