The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka

We were upgraded to a king bed suite. The room is spacious and new. The bathroom has marble floor, double sink, a bathtub and a shower. There are 3 different bath salt for taking a bath. All of them smell really nice. We signed up for two complimentary activities, bike tour and origami class. Our bike tour was scheduled at 8:00 am with Simon Finch, the hotel loyalty manager. He rarely does the tour so we were really lucky that he took us to the bicycle tour. We later found out that he also started the bicycle tour activity for Ritz Carlton Kyoto. We enjoyed the tours in Kyoto a lot so we decided to do the tour in Osaka as well. The tour is from the hotel to Osaka Castle and back, around 2 hour ride. We stopped in several places to take pictures. Simon told us the story and history about these places which makes the tour more interesting. It is a great way to learn more about Osaka and go to places that are too big to walk around. We enjoyed our tour and would recommend it to everyone who knows how to ride a bicycle. This is our first time staying in Ritz Carlton Osaka. We had great time. We will come back if we visit Osaka again.

Lovely hotel with elegant design. It looks better in person than in the photos. I appreciated the fresh flowers every morning, both in the hotel as well as in the room. The hotel is a bit of a distance to the train station so is probably best enjoyed if you are taking advantage of the club experience or plan to take taxis. If you choose to walk it’s about 4 mins to Nishi Umeda, 10 mins to Umeda and 15 mins to Osaka Umeda. Walking in the underpass is more convenient. Apart from getting to and from the hotel, it offers a good rest in the city as it’s more exclusive. Between a room on higher floor or a corner room, I would probably choose higher floor as the corner room is larger in the sitting area and not all of the size difference is usable. I love the selection of bath salts provided they are full bodied with strong fragrance. There is a choice of rose, chamomile and lavender. Bath amenities are the standard Ritz Carlton offering: Diptyque. Prices of the Honor Bar are relatively accessible, but they have moved to Pepsi instead of Coke.

The service is impeccable, the Manager Simon is so nice - he helped us in so many ways, really made our stay perfect! The facilities are beautiful, our spa experience was amazing and the Michelin star French restaurant is as expected- flawless! Exceptional hotel and wonderful staff.

Beautiful, distinguished, sophisticated hotel that delivers the top notch service and experience that one would come to expect from Ritz Carlton properties. Their Loyalty Manager Simon Finch personally invited my husband and me to join him on a morning bike ride around the city - that was a highlight of our time in Osaka and we truly appreciated it.

Our five-day stay at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka was exceptional from start to finish. The service was top-notch — at check-in, two young ladies personally escorted me to my room for a quick walkthrough, making the process smooth and efficient. Throughout the stay, we were well taken care of. Special thanks to Mr. Go and Mika at the concierge, who not only helped with dinner reservations but also arranged plans with our next hotel in Kyoto. The highlight was the Friday morning bike tour with Simon, Mark, and Felicia from the hotel’s executive team — a 2.5-hour city ride with professional photos and historical insights. Truly a perfect experience. I look forward to returning soon!
