Fantastic hotel & fantastic staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I recently stayed at W Osaka and I was really impressed with this property. It ticks all the boxes: well-located, stylish, great rooms with great views, good food, fantastic pool & excellent staff. We were traveling with a family of four and booked connecting rooms. Rather than having traditional connecting rooms with a regular inside door, this room combo had a separate entry for both rooms with a dedicated corridor. It felt more like a 2-bedroom suite to be honest. Views were spectacular, the layout of the room was brilliant and the bathroom was amazing. The connected room for the kids was equally impressive. As expected, the room was great, but the most impressive part of the journey were the staff. They always went above and beyond to help and assist. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Maurizio Roberti who is part of the "W Insider" team. He gave us great recommendations for sightseeing, invited us to a complimentary welcome drink and helped us with some dinner reservations. While I'm sure Maurizio has a lot of guests to take care of, it felt like he was our dedicated concierge. The breakfast buffet was extensive, as you can expect from an upscale hotel in Asia. The quality and variety was excellent and was on par with W Singapore Sentosa Cove, W Dubai The Palm & W Dubai Mina Seyahi. One of the amenities which proved to be a lifesaver was the pool. We were in Osaka in August, which is usually hot, but during our trip temperatures rose up to 36 degrees. Having a pool to cool down during the hottest part of the day, was amazing! W Osaka has an indoor pool, which doesn't sound that attractive. But at this property things are different: the indoor pool has a gigantic window that opens to an outdoor patio. This makes the pool feel a lot less cramped and fills the space with natural light. The day beds are comfortable, but there aren't many of them. I knew that W Osaka would be a solid property, but the managed to positively surprise me. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Week in Osaka best chose to stay at W

I had a wonderful stay at W Osaka. I booked a corner room, and the view was amazing and with some hi-tech features. The facilities and service were top-notch, making my experience very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and I appreciated how attentive they were to my food intolerances. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the city. However, I did find that there were too many families during my stay, which sometimes made the W lifestyle concept less relaxing for me. Overall, a great hotel with some minor downsides.

What an amazing experience and what an unbelievable meal!

Japan is known for its exquisite fine dining and has the largest numbers of Michelin star restaurants -each amazing in its own rights. And so it is quite a feat when I say we had one of our best meals at the Mydo in W Osaka. Chef Naoki Suminoe prepared the nets Tepenyaki meal I’ve ever had and Yoto Naoki took amazing care of us. HIGHLY recommend!!!

A magical stay from start to finish

Words cannot describe how special my stay was at this hotel! The staff treated me like royalty from the moment I stepped through the door. I have stated many fine hotels, but the team at the W take service to another level. The staff were so kind, so thoughtful, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to anticipate meet my every need! The highlights of my stay included an unforgettable dinner at the Teppanyaki restaurant (ask for Chef Toya) and an out of this world Hacci spa treatment by Anna Nakamura. I could not recommend a stay at W Osaka more!
