Reviews for W Osaka

Poor service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We experienced the worst service ever. My boyfriend and I booked 3 nights at this hotel to celebrate his birthday. Sadly, they didn’t organize anything at all. When I mentioned our disappointment at check-out, they offered us two teas and brought a birthday cake—but this was the day after his birthday. This is definitely not 5-star service. However, the breakfast was delicious.

Come back…best place to pay hand bags for my wife

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Enjoy a lot the days in the hotel and the perfect place to discover the town. The hotel also accept our “Night upgrades from Bonvoy” with a >100qm suite including a fantastic view. You find traditional restaurants close by with very warm people everywhere. The staff in the hotel is highly professional and friendly. Simple, happy wife, happy life;-)

amazing concierge experience!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

had amazing help from a concierge songhui - she was patient and helped to find a good, last-minute restaurant reservation for a place that accommodates english speakers. i am picky so this was no easy task. if you ever find yourself needing help ask for songhui!

Fantastic stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Where do I begin? We have just had an amazing 4 day stay at the WOsaka hotel. The staff are so warm and friendly but there again most people in Japan are. The Living Room bar provides a relaxed chilled out feeling whether it be in the afternoon or on an evening. I want to thank all the staff but need to especially thank the following three : Tomoyki Nonaka - such a happy smiling face greeted us both in the morning at breakfast or in the evening at the Living Room bar. Died this man ever go home 🤣 Songhui Seo - who helped us with taxis and rebooking of excursion tickets. She also went out of her way to run over to say hello when she saw us reentering the hotel. Shun - the wonderful bartender and cocktail maker. Shun makes the best Osaka style gin & tonics, he also has my husband hooked on Japanese rum 😝. Again always smiling and full of chat about football (soccer). We hope that we can someday return to Japan and would definitely stay at W Osaka again.

Bad smell!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Currently at this hotel and can’t wait to leave. In addition to the poor check in experience, the room is absolutely horrible. We were woken up in the middle of the night by a dreadful smell coming through the vents in one of our two rooms. It was that bad that it woke us up. The internet is very spotty, and some devices simply won’t connect. This is a 3.5 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star. We’ve travelled through Japan for the last 2 weeks, and this is the only bad experience we’ve had. With so many other hotels in the area, do yourself a favour and run from this one.
