Historic jewel with a shooting star
We visited Oslo in January 2025 for a couple of days and the Grand Hotel offered a close to ideal accomodation für this trip. The location is most central, the rooms are of exceptional quality and due to the historic substance noise is no problem. The view form the windows on the main square is scenic and the thick curtains provide also som protection from the cold outside that was -15°C. We were most lucky to observe a shooting star, which was a truly uniqe experience. The ony minor inconvenience are the soft and divided matrasses, which made it a real challenge to sleep closely, but we also managed this. We thus certainly recommend the Grand Hotel.

Not living up to the expecations.
Sadly, this did not live up to the expectations. The amount of money they request for a family room does not align with the service they provided. We made several requests to the staff, but they were never met. The breakfast was good, the rooms was clean and the facilities were good.

Wonderful stay
Stayed for 2 nights in Grand oslo Hotel and it was very good. Room was cleaned, very spacious and breakfast was very good also. This hotel has a great location, central avenue in Oslo and allow us to get to main places very easily. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel for being 150+ years old.
Breakfast is phenomenal with many choices to eat. The macaroons were delicious and had many other breads/sweets to choose from. The floor layout for 4-5 floors were confusing, but once you get used to it, it’s ok. Bed was really soft and comfy, room had the basic amenities to include bath robe and slippers. Worth the stay and right off Main Street where everything is at.
