Great stay at Arc The Hotel. Stayed with a pet and it was very pet friendly. The staff were attentive and flexible. No complaints.

I chose this hotel from a secondary site. Mostly because it was significantly cheaper than all of the rest in its proximity. I was coming into ottawa for an eye surgery, then I would be quick to exit the next day-I didn't need anything too luxurious. I came to check-in post op. There was a young lady at the desk who was more than willing to help me muttle through semi blind finding my card and id.. It was only after the fact my mother decided to stay as she had a family member who had been admitted into OHI urgently( which is also not even a 10 minute drive distance from the hotel.) Checking in for myself nearly blind was actually quite quick and effective eased my stress i had been having about it quick. A cheerful face behind the desk welcomed me, explain that When my mother comes from, OHI that they'll have the parking( that I paid additionally. $35) for would be ready and waiting for her, And that they would help her get situated when she arrived so i wouldnt have too A few hours later they assisted my mother in finding the parking lot, showed her to her room after a long day for both of us which was so appreciated, unexpected and so helpful. After a long day in the different clinics for both my mother and I we decided to do takeout food- unfortunately there was a kerfuffle with the restaurant that was delivering. They forgot to bring their debit machine, but the front desk called us as soon as they returned with the debit machine. So we could come down and pay. But they also gave us actual metal silverware, so we wouldn't have to eat with plastic utensils (un asked for just motivated employees) They went above and beyond this line of service. It was two younger staff we could tell that they actually enjoyed their job. The hotel room itself was clean. We were actually upgraded by the hotel at arrival instead of a junior suite swapped to a corner suite, which I'm not sure the difference..the beds are very comfortable clean crisp linen, no weird smells. The only thing I will say about the bathroom, I got a junior suite originally because I just wanted to soak in a bath post op, as I'm not able to shower, and assuming that a suite would have a relaxing bath thats what i went with. Maybe that was my own mistake. It's a very rigid upward sat bath, no frills, but at the end of the day that was okay with me. Also no microwave in our suite. But the front desk (same people from the first day) heated it up at my request. Best service hands down

I had an excellent stay at this downtown Ottawa hotel. The location was perfect, with Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, restaurants, and shopping all within walking distance. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations and any requests. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. The amenities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was modern and inviting. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ottawa for business or leisure.

2.5-3 stars hotel. The place is not acceptable for people with mobility issues. Has small rooms, old worn down scratchy towels, low water pressure in the shower, AC window unit placed right beside the bed, very noisy and was blowing cold, icy air all night on the head and face. Small elevators. Barely fit 4 people. Parking was $34/day. And we have to park the car behind the hotel in the tight spot behind garbage cans. No, we won't recommend it.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous throughout our stay. They allowed us to check in early and kept our bags until the room was ready. The location is good for the price, but it is still a bit of a walk down a very dark street to get to Elgin. The room could use an update and everything is starting to look worn. I agree with other comments about the lighting in the room. Very bright LED bulbs with no warmth. The parking is behind the building and not attached to the hotel. This would not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues, especially in the winter months. Overall, our stay was ok, but I think I would book elsewhere for my next trip to Ottawa.
