A landmark of style and hospitality in the heart of the Canadian capital, The Westin Ottawa is a welcoming urban enclave. This Starwood Hotels & Resorts affiliate, connected by indoor walkways to the Rideau Center shopping complex, is but a brief stroll to Ottawa's historic Byward Market. Ample, superbly appointed accommodations boast floor-to-ceiling windows and matchless views of the Rideau Canal. Here, where the feel is relaxed and the aesthetic is elegant, it's the next best thing to being home.

Very dated and worn out rooms. Smelly rooms and hallways. Pleasant staff and great location but nothing special about this hotel. Suspect too many hockey tournaments have stayed here over the years as we did back in 2018 when it was much fresher.

Lovely hotel! Great location - walking distance to good food, local market. Walked out the door and had a fantastic sunrise run INTO QUEBEC (so fun!) and back. How often can you say that??? Room was sparkling clean. My colleagues stayed at the Fairmont across the street - which was possibly more grand and prestigious, but it sounds like the amenities were better, rooms were more modern and facilities overall nicer at the Westin.

Great spot! Parking underground was $30 for 24hrs. *Pay before you leave the spot-no in and out privileges. You can opt to pay hourly, if you plan to be in and out. There are other public parking lots nearby that may be cheaper, I did not use them this trip. The hotel (and parking) is connected the mall and Rogers Centre which makes going to either very easy from the space. The hotel was clean and rooms well kept. Bed was comfortable and internet seemed fine. Many things to do within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would visit again.

Perfect hotel for us to stay during our first trip to Ottawa. Our 10th floor room overlooked the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and Parliament Hill. We used the valet parking which was included in our package and didn't need the car while there - everything we did was within walking distance. It was nice to look up and see the Westin sign atop the hotel while walking around the city. The buffet breakfast in morning offered a little bit of everything. Elevator system is very secure and requires you to scan your room card and enter the floor you are going to. It will tell you what elevator to get on and will only stop at that floor. Pool looked nice but we did not use. Only snag was the sliding door to enter bathroom from room - it would close but not open easily. Mentioned it to front desk the next morning but nothing was done. Mentioned it again upon check out so hopefully someone from maintenance will fix it.

We loved this hotel. Our first time in Toronto and we’ll be staying here when we come back! Staff were super friendly and checked us in quickly. We had a lake view room which was absolutely gorgeous and were in one of the recently renovated rooms in the South tower. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom huge with lovely shower. Robes and slippers supplied and toiletries nice. Loads of space to put our own items. Hotel right on the harbour by the ferry terminal if you want to go over to the islands. We walked along the harbour most evenings and it’s a lovely walk - plenty of people out and about enjoying the bars and restaurants or just sitting in the park. Sugar beach is about a ten minutes walk walk away. It’s also about twenty minutes from the financial district and the same to the Roger’s Centre/CN Tower. We ate in the room once. Food was as good - slightly delayed taking the tray away again (we had to ask at reception for it to be moved the next morning) but it arrived quickly and was hot. Cleaning service was thorough and professional.
