Reviews for Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino

Year After Year This Resort Never Disappoints

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We recently visited the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino in Aruba, and this was our third trip to this location. Once again, we had an amazing time. We have visited in both November and January and have already booked our return for next year. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. The adults-only pool is wonderful, clearly separated from the family pool area and very well maintained. It truly makes for a relaxing experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special callout to Marline, who was our server at the adult pool. Year after year, she brings a smile and the friendliest attitude to every day. She is absolutely amazing. We would also like to recognize Willy at the pool restaurant. He was always upbeat and fun, while also being an excellent waiter. We love this hotel and its location, which is walkable to many wonderful restaurants. We look forward to coming back year after year.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location!

I love this hotel! You can walk directly onto the beach from the property. They have an adult pool and a family pool. They have towel service and food/drink service at your pool chair. The rooms are very clean with complimentary refrigerator, coffee, and water. Their bath towels are large, thick, and soft. The hotel is located near many stores, bars and restaurants. You could eat at the hotel for any meal. It might be difficult to get a late checkout and it’s a bit pricey. Lovely staff!

Best location. Beautiful resort.

This resort is beautiful, clean and in the best location. Staff are very friendly. The beach is stunning. Would stay there again. Highly recommend. A few tips regarding the food: The food seemed overpriced and not that great compared to the rest of Aruba. We only ate there once (Piccolo which was not good at all in term of quality and service and price) but had access to many great restaurants near by. Eduardo’s on the beach just a minute away is perfect for breakfast and lunch. We ate there almost every day. For dinner, we enjoyed Pelican’s Nest, Azzuro, Blossoms and Kiani, all of which were 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. There are so many great places to eat nearby. The lobby bar staff are great and the drinks and music there was really nice. The person who plays the Violin is AMAZING. The one complaint I have are the beach umbrellas/Pallaps. Others have also noted this but management doesn’t seem to care. Each costs about $60US and you have to reserve weeks in advance and you only can keep it (pay for it) if you are there to claim it before 9am (which for some of us is 8am or earlier ) forcing their guests to wake up early on vacation to pay for an overpriced umbrella. This seems like an unreasonable practice and was the one reason making me re-think a return to this resort. I could deal with the cost but can’t understand their rational of such an early check in. The slide is a nice addition to the pool. Overall a really great place to stay.

Could be better

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

All good except during one of my breakfast, I was very uncomfortable with a comment made by my waitress regarding my accent. She claimed she couldn't understand me when I gave my room number as 'three twenty,' even though the phrasing was clear. The waitress claimed she could not understand me 'because of my accent' and only acknowledged the number when I said 'three two zero.' Her comment was unprofessional, unnecessary, and made me feel unwelcome.
