We just completed a family reunion vacation here with over 35 of us from infants to 70 years old. We had such a great time, already talking about when we are returning. Never have to leave the resort if you don't want to. Plenty of dining options, pools for all ages, and of course the beach just steps away. Our room was ocean front and highly recommend it for view of resort and sound of ocean. We also had Brooke from the recreation dept put together a family amazing race for our group and it was such a blast. Also highly recommend for a large group. We had 6 teams of 6 people +-. I suggested they should include gelatos for everyone since we all ended up at the tables outside the gelato place. We also did a family volleyball tournament, again had a blast however we felt the charge to reserve the court was excessive (since it is typically a complimentary amenity, but was the only way we could be guaranteed courts would be exclusively ours) it did not include any water or bar service of any type (and we were dying it was so hot). Rooms and resort are top notch, the resort fee is a bit steep and you have to be careful not to add a tip onto your receipts as you get hit again. We did take out since we had two little ones from Delfino's one night and they charged a 20% gratuity without asking, which again, just felt wrong. Only complaint was we were never told we had to call to get our room serviced mid stay which is included if staying for 7 nights(we did) and when I called they couldn't fit us in until the day before we were leaving which was kind of nuts. Should be automatically scheduled or at least we should have been called to ask if we would like the service on night 3 of our stay. A bit of nickel and diming with a few things but did not damper our trip. Just be prepared.

we stayed in the lodge which is a small building separate from the huge towers with all the other rooms. it was extremely quiet, right on the beach with an ocean view, with easy and free parking. The room looked exactly like it did on the pictures. Comfortable mattress, nice towels, bath products smelled great. It is just a short walk over to the main hotel and the pool complex. Probably a shorter walk than having to navigate from within the towers. The pool complex is really great, it’s about five different pools and water features all connected together. We were there in April and had no problem getting a chair. we ate at the pool bar and at loggerheads and both were above average hotel food.

We had such a wonderful experience. Our room in the ocean tower was gorgeous. Every single staff member that we encountered was friendly, polite, and helpful. The grounds were spotless. Even our children commented that these were the nicest resort staff members that they had ever encountered (and we travel a lot!)

The property looks like it was last updated in the 1980's. But they need a lot more than just paint. Rooms are old, tired and way below 5 star! Restaurant food mediocre at best,The staff was very very slow and barely there. Were they hiding from embarrassment?? The whole place is understaffed. Golf courses were fine. No cash in hotel, but they charge 3% to use a credit card.

Just returned from our vacation and looked to TripAdvisor to see what people were saying! I find a four star review from 2009. It had a million words and was tldr! This place is amazing and is perfect for all your scenarios…business, pleasure, solo traveler, couples, families and groups! It’s all very well maintained and has something for everyone! Like pools? There are 8! Want to be at the beach…there it is! Golf? Hammock Beach has that too! We had a lovely time and will be back soon!
