EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTING
I am extremely disappointed with how Las Américas Golden Tower has handled my $100 refundable security deposit. I arrived on September 17 and, due to a delay with my room, was offered an “upgrade” that required a $100 security deposit. I was specifically told it would be refunded within a maximum of 3 days, which is the ONLY reason I agreed to pay it. I checked out September 19. It is now October 6 and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY MONEY. Even worse has been trying to contact the hotel. The email listed through their website led to a reservation service that said they could not help. After DAYS of calling the number on Google, I finally reached someone—only to discover it was a reservations office operating from Colombia. They gave me a direct number for reception in Panama, which I have also called repeatedly and even left a voicemail with all my information. No return call. No explanation. No refund. It has been 19 days since they charged my card for a deposit they promised to refund within 3 days. For a hotel of this category, the complete lack of accessible customer service and accountability over a guest’s money is unacceptable. I strongly recommend being extremely cautious about paying any security deposit here. Get EVERYTHING in writing. I will update this review if and when my $100 is finally returned.

Wonderful
Wonderful stay, very accommodating staff, especially Ida at the front desk. Restaurant staff for breakfast are extremely hardworking managing the heavy foot traffic. Room was amazing!

We had an amazing experience at the Golden Tower - highly recommend! It was enhanced by the friendly and charming staff. Especially Gretty from the restaurant. Gretty went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. She became a great amiga and is one of the main reason we can’t wait to go back!
