Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo

The location is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and the service is superb. Concierge is very helpful and patient. I would like to give a special thank you to Juan Castillo, a server at the adjoining restaurant, Caleta, who was not only very pleasant, and provided great service, he was extremely personable and empathetic when I didn’t feel well. He brought me a specially brewed tea to help me feel better- and since it was a special recipe from his grandmother, of course it helped! The ease and luxury service provided at Sofitel made our experience in Panama that much more enjoyable.

We first visited Panama staying at the Sofitel Legend in October 2023. We had an amazing time learning the history of the hotel and enjoying the beautiful guest experience and culture. This visit has been even more amazing!Our daughters surprised me by flying in from the UK to celebrate my 55th and a 30th birthday. It’s been wonderful to share our experience with them and make new memories. A very special mention must be made of Señora Maryim Lopez who looked after us so fantastically ‘cada día’. Maryim made our birthdays so very special, doubled as our Spanish teacher and suggested sights to see in Casco Viejo. I stayed at the Sofitel Casco Viejo recently and honestly, everything about it was just exceptional. The building is stunning — a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern luxury — and the location couldn’t be better for exploring the old town. From check-in to check-out, the service was warm, attentive, and personal without ever feeling overdone. You can tell the staff take real pride in what they do. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with a view that made it hard to leave. Every space in the hotel — the pool, the bar, the restaurant, even the hallways — just feels thoughtful and well-executed. This place really stands out.
