We enjoyed this hotel. The concierge, Jaen Miriel was incredibly helpful arranging our tours and airport transfers before our trip. The breakfast was great, especially when we could have it outside. We also loved the roof bar for dinner.

The location of the hotel in Casco Veijo was excellent – very convenient for a walk around the old city, choose from many restaurants in the area, walk along the historic sea walls with lovely views. The room itself was clean; bathroom was spacious and stocked with modern amenities. We tried the Vera Café and greatly enjoyed the coffee and pastries. Between us, we had a custard cream pastry, and an éclair – absolutely decadent, with superb coffee. As we had booked for early tour departures, we were given a packed breakfast of sandwiches and hot chocolate on request. On check-in we got an upgrade to an oceanfront room with balcony, and enjoyed the great views of the Pacific Ocean.

Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo is easily one of the most luxurious and thoughtfully designed hotels I’ve ever experienced. From the moment you arrive, everything feels elevated—stylish without being overdone, and deeply connected to the character and history of Casco Viejo. The design is stunning, with a strong sense of place that makes the entire stay feel immersive rather than generic. The rooms are massive, beautifully appointed, and the balcony views are something special—perfect for slowing down and taking it all in. The amenities absolutely deliver. The pool is incredible, the rooftop is a dream, and every space feels intentional and refined. What truly sets it apart, though, is the staff—warm, attentive, and genuinely world-class. Yes, it’s a splurge—but it’s the kind of place that justifies every dollar. If you’re looking for something memorable and elevated, this is it. Already looking forward to the next stay.
