Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo

I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama City. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful historic setting, elegant design, and relaxed atmosphere. The location is one of the biggest highlights. It is an easy to walk to historic sites, restaurants, and beautiful plazas. The waterfront setting is also fantastic, especially around sunset, when the views are truly beautiful. We stayed in the magnifique room (431) to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and everything that we had requested was honored and more. The room was comfortable, stylish, and well appointed, with thoughtful details that matched the character of the hotel. The property itself is stunning, and I particularly enjoyed the pool area, which was a great place to relax after exploring the city on a hot day. The service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my stay, creating a welcoming and comfortable experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo for anyone looking for a stylish, relaxing, and memorable stay in Panama City. We will definitely be coming back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo. After a trip that unfortunately had quite a few disappointments, our time at the Sofitel was honestly the one truly pleasant and relaxing part of our vacation. The hotel itself is beautiful, elegant, and incredibly comfortable, but what really made our stay exceptional was the service. A special thank you to our butler, Carlos, who went above and beyond for us from the moment we arrived. He was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay—and my girlfriend’s 40th birthday—special. Every request was handled graciously, and his attention to detail made a real difference. After several frustrating experiences elsewhere during our trip, arriving at the Sofitel felt like we could finally relax and enjoy ourselves. The level of hospitality was exactly what you hope for from a luxury hotel. Thank you to Carlos and the entire Sofitel team for ending our Panama vacation on such a positive note. If we return to Panama City, there is no question where we will stay.

Hands down one of our favorite hotels! Luxurious rooms, great food and rooftop bar, with servers TEO and Wendy providing excellent service. It’s very welcoming when staff remembers your visits!! Even if you don’t stay, visit to eat and drink!!
