Elegance and comfort in colonial Casco Viejo
We arrived in Panama City with no specific plans except for a five-night stay at the Sofitel Legend in the colonial Casco Viejo. Although we live in the subtropical United States, we were looking for a more relaxed vibe and some interesting sightseeing. The hotel property is gorgeous and well-maintained with views out onto the Pacific. The informed concierge members scheduled us sightseeing day excursions and restaurants locally that exactly suited our tastes. Breakfast was excellent with a friendly and efficient staff. The evening lobby bar staff were especially friendly and engaging, with Shamir being most memorable, making our holiday a vacation that we shall plan to repeat in the future. We definitely will be back.

Wonderful afternoon dining.
We spent the afternoon enjoying lunch and tea. The atmosphere is serene and the service was fantastic. They were kind, generous and attentive. The food was well executed, perfectly seasoned and they were attentive to our dietary needs. We didn’t want to leave.

Overall great. Some fails.
The hotel is beautiful; location great. Staff exceptional. A couple of fails-out of 3 nights, only had turndown service once. Dirty towels left on the floor and bonne nuit only once. Also hvac problem-clothes always damp.

Best restaurant in Panama
We went for our anniversary dinner and wonderful Eduardo served our table. Not only was Eduardo the most educated and amazing server, we also had one of the best meals we have had in Panama. We were greeted with complimentary champagne and a very nice dessert to celebrate the occasion. Food is particularly good. Gourmet panamanian flavor with a unique touch. Truly remarkable. Our experience was fabulous and we are looking forward to be back soon.

Fantastic stay at Sofitel. Travelled for work and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The location is great, the architecture beautiful, and the team there truly excellent. Thank you to Carlos and the butler team for their service. Hope to visit again
