Luxury and history are intertwined in this hotel.
This is a beautiful hotel in a historic location with impeccable service. Everything is spotless and high end. We loved the pool and enjoyed the well appointed gym. You walk out of the peaceful hotel and are immediately in the midst of the scenic and lively historic city that was wonderful to explore. We’d return to our spotless hotel and sleep without hearing a sound from the outside world. This is true luxury.

Exceptional Stay
Absolute perfection from start to finish! We only stayed 2 nights, and I didn't want to leave. We arrived very early in the morning, and the check in process was quick and smooth. We had sumptuous breakfasts with the most perfect croissants outside of Paris. Delicious espresso drinks too. We received an early check in and upgrade to a suite with a water view (thanks Amex Platinum card!) The room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony, huge walk in shower, and robes and slippers. The pool area was lovely and they make their Aperol spritzes with real champagne! Exceptional service at every stage, even when leaving for a 5:30 am excursion. I would love to return.

Five star experience.
Definitely a five star experience. Christian, the hotel manager rated above exceptional. His attention to detail and personal experience was more than you could ever ask for. I highly suggest giving yourself a treat by staying at this hotel. The staff in the dining room was exceptional and very accommodating.

Luxury in old town
Stayed here for 4 days as part of an AMAwaterways land package. Hard to find any faults with this hotel. Everything is top notch. Service, included breakfast, location in old town, pool were all excellent. Rooms with ocean view are very nice but I'm guessing quite pricey. Our room was quite large, bed very comfy and quiet for a good night sleep. Security is a priority as you need to swipe your room key multiple times to access different parts of the hotel besides getting into your room. There is an excellent Italian restaurant (Madre) directly across the street. If price is no object, this hotel is highly recommended.
