Stunning hotel with great pool, speakeasy and rooftop!
Our group had the most phenomenal time at Sofitel for a girls weekend! The food was phenomenal and the drinks and service was excellent. But what really made our trip was the rooftop vibes and DJ Wolf! We looked all over Casco Viejo and no other rooftop or club had music like Ammi Skybar! In fact every night, we would come back to the rooftop after dinner for good music, great vibes and dancing. It was the energy the DJ put out every night that made our trip…

Beautiful View and a Great Location, but Room for Improvements
The hotel is still beautiful, and I love both the location and the surrounding area. The view of the water from my room was calming, and the room itself was lovely. The staff was attentive for the most part. I stayed in Suite 450, which was excellent. It features a wraparound balcony with beautiful views of the Cinta Costera, making it a standout part of the experience. However, housekeeping lacked attention to detail. I had to contact my butler several times because basic amenities that had run out—such as Q-tips, shower gel, coffee, and small towels—were not replenished. This raised concerns about the overall thoroughness of the housekeeping service, which could certainly be improved. For a hotel at this level and price point, I would also expect a few additional touches. Offering complimentary fruit or flavored water in the lobby would enhance the guest experience, and lounge access for certain room categories would add value and better align with the luxury standards the hotel aims to provide. Overall, the property remains beautiful and well-located, but greater consistency in housekeeping and a few upgraded amenities would make the experience feel more worthy of its premium pricing.

Dinner at Caleta
Had amazing dinner experience here, our server was Juan Castillo, and he was excellent - polite, friendly, professional, fast! Food was deginitely Michelin- style, impeccable presentation, and fresh ingredients, cacao desert is a must! Couldn’t have asked for a better night out in Panama City!
