Awesome pools and relaxing beach on the premises. Great food at the restaurant, and the best coffee I had in Costa Rica. The beach is a little small but it's nice, clean, and relaxing. Rooms and service were great.

Our family of 10 (grandparents, grown children, grandchildren) just came back from a wonderful stay at El Mangroove. We had a four bedroom villa which was luxurious and comfortable--it was the perfect combination of space and privacy with all the amenities of a hotel stay. Special thanks to Emannuel, the villa concierge, who worked tirelessly to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, and to Bryan, who led our family on a fun early morning nature walk. We are still dreaming about the fantastic breakfast and beautiful pools...not to mention the delicious welcome drink and cool towels! One thing to note, there were brush fires in the area that made the air quite smokey. This is common in the dry season and not the hotel's fault at all, but those with breathing/pulmonary issues might want to consider booking during a different time of year or make sure that your room is as far away from the road as possible. Our villa became pretty smokey for at least a day or two of our stay.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and accommodating. The pools and rooms are stunning, and the entire property feels relaxing and well maintained. All of the staff were excellent. Pablo, the concierge, was extremely helpful and took care of everything we needed — thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome. 10/10, we would definitely recommend it. It’s also very convenient that you can take shuttles off the resort if you want to explore. While we were staying here, we met Gabriel from Nomadtourscr, gabriel recommended some of the best tours for us. We went snorkeling, had dinner in Playas del Coco, and also visited the rainforest, a tour you definitely shouldn’t miss. Everything was well organized and the experience felt very personal and enjoyable. Thank you to the whole El Mangroove team for making our vacation incredible!

We had an absolute blast at El Mangroove! It was definitely the highlight of our 2 week Guanacaste trip. My Spanish speaking ability is poor to say the least, but the staff here spoke better English than me! Upon arrival, we met Victor Mayorga at the front desk. He gave us the best information out of anybody regarding things to do in the area as well as how to enjoy the hotel to its fullest. We were extremely impressed. We actually offered multiple times to have him join us on our excursions because he was so cool! We will definitely be planning a trip back to Guanacaste soon and will 100% be booking rooms at El Mangroove. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Victor was the Best..From ck in to ck out made us feel at home and the amenities where top notch would recommend this place to all my friends!
