Disappointing

The resort is beautiful, the views stunning and the room lovely We had asked for room facilities for assisted mobility but on arrival we began a long trek to our room situated at the furtherest point from all amenities. No seats or benches along the way so ended up using a wheelchair for the time we were there which is not normally the case. The transit lounge ( to rest) was locked and $50 per day pp to use. The staff are friendly and the front desk helpful but in the breakfast area customer service is non existent I would expect the Hilton to have highly trained staff, protocols and standards but this is obviously not the case . Never saw a Manager . It was impossible to get a cup of coffee at breakfast despite repeated polite attempts. Thermos coffee was undrinkable and a double espresso sadly unobtainable . Unfortunately “Hilton” will have negative connotations in future travel plans.

After travelling half way around the world my wife and I embarked on a wonderful south Pacific cruise finishing up for three days at the recommend Hilton Hotel in Tahiti. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary and wrote ahead to the hotel to inform them of this. On our arrival we were asked if we were celebrating any occasion and we asked had they not received our email. The hotel admittedly was very nice but for the whole stay they did not once acknowledge our celebration, no complimentary drink, no special room decorations like any other hotel have done for us in the past, disappointed to say the least. For a honours member we did not feel welcomed and not what we expected from a big brand name. We found also that the hotel restaurants were very expensive and the breakfast buffet, although very nice but at £60 each a bit extortionate. All in all we tried not to let it ruin our celebration but the final straw came when I paid my hotel bill they overcharged me for the room rate and double charged for the breakfast buffet a total of £290. Obviously emails were sent but eventually after 5 weeks I finally got my refund. To summarise we found a 4 star hotel with 5 star pricing with at best a 3 star service. Would not recommend this hotel, especially after the distance we traveled.

I can’t express enough how much I love this place! The hospitality is unmatched, everyone is so kind and professional. I have nothing bad to say. I wish I could fit the names of all the people who helped us, but it was genuinely everyone. We ate at “San Sushi” for dinner and “Moevai” for breakfast. 10/10 for both.

Great hotel in a good location

The Hilton was a great place for a three day stay. Felt valued as a Diamond member and the included breakfast was wonderful and right over the water. Service was consistently friendly. You can walk into the city and there is a mall and grocery store connected to the hotel. We took a full day island tour which we highly recommend. The island is beautiful. There’s no beach but the pool is top notch and has a decent fitness room. Restaurant prices are high but the food was good. The sushi is fresh and the chorizo pizza yummy. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay here.
