Reviews for Hilton Hotel Tahiti

Lovely clean attractive hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

After seeing some negative reviews my expectations were low. We stayed one night in order to catch an early morning LAX flight coming from Bora Bora. The staff was so friendly , beautiful lobby and immaculate room. The bed and linens were as comfy & nice as anyplace we've been. Many guests were in the lobby for 4:30 am airport pickup. There was great coffee and fruit as people were checking out. An extra and unexpected touch We were totally satisfied with our time there.

Fantastic hotel. I stayed 3 nights after a cruise and it was a hotel resort that had everything for relaxation. Pool was easily the highlight, large, clean and excellent place for watching sunset from the pool bar. There is also a convenient pier where operators will collect you for water tours such as whale watching. We dined at two of the restaurants and they were great. The highlight was dining on the balcony looking over the fish and coral. Breakfasts were excellent, we had an Asian theme one morning and polynesian the next. Variety was fantastic, pastries were as good as any hotel with crispy croissants and tasty coconut milk donuts. Despite being busy, service was good and the band performing Friday night were a highlight. Rooms were clean, well appointed had plenty of space and views. All things considered, it was a delight and would definitely return in the future.

Not up to Hilton brand quality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This hotel is not up to the Hilton brand quality. Although the property and rooms are beautiful, service is lacking in almost every area of the hotel, especially in the restaurants. It took 20 minutes for the pool bartender to acknowledge our existence and longer to get a glass of wine. At the pricey breakfast buffet, we had to stalk the wait staff to get coffee/ coffee refills. Decaf coffee had to be ordered from somewhere outside of the restaurant and took even longer. Entrees in all three restaurants were slow to arrive and we ended up leaving without eating in the Italian restaurant. We made reservations for 6pm, intending to dine early. At 7:35, we still had not been served. We left without eating when no one could promise that food would be delivered anytime soon. I went to the front desk and spoke to the manager on duty who was less than sympathetic. I understand that mistakes happen from time to time, but this seems to be a systemic problem affecting service throughout the hotel. On the plus side rooms are beautiful and the hotel is conveniently located next to a small shopping center with a nice market and a few shops and restaurants. We visited friends at the Intercontinental and it appears to be a better alternative for our next trip.

NOT THE BEST ATTENTION

The hotel did not provide me with the room I booked however they charged my credit card for the stay. I asked for the proof of my registration form several times and they never produced it.

Great location and excellent staff!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I arrived at 6am in the morning, exhausted from nearly 24 hours flying from the UK. The staff were all courteous and spoke English as well as French. The porter, Teiki, was particularly helpful and spoke perfect English. The food was good and they had several gluten-free options. My room was well-appointed with a good view. It has a lovely pool and is in a perfect location midway between the airport and Papeete. It is also next to a large supermarket and a small shopping mall, with its own walkway over the dual carriage way.
