Stunning location. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Great views from the room. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Didn't know that we had to request our room be serviced each day. (Restocking towels., bed made etc). Value - very expensive for New Zealanders but we knew this. Didn't know about the taxes / resort fees. (This was a special occasion - 50th wedding anniversary so we'd saved enough. Spotlessly clean. No noise intrusion. Service was exemplary from concierge, wait staff and cleaners. Had all the amenities we could ask for. Loved the breakfasts surrounded by water. Would love to do this holiday again.

We booked this on a whim while we were a few days out before finishing our cruise. We had stayed at the Intercontinental before our cruise but it was further from town, and they were funny about us using the facilities for a few hours before or after checkout. When the Hilton confirmed we could use the pool before our room was ready, I was happy to book. We arrived early in the morning to excellent service from The check in staff. We left our bags and were able to walk into Papeete, and we got a message at 11.30 saying our room was ready! We were stoked. We came back and had a great afternoon around the pool area, which is lovely - a massive pool. The hotel is connected by walkway to a mall with a giant carrefour, which is great in expensive Tahiti. Our room wasn’t quite as nice as the intercontinental, but the location, friendly staff, facilities and ability to use the facilities before/after check in made the Hilton a winner. Thank you!

Had a standard room which was expensive enough. Adequate is the best description. Everything in the hotel, coffee, drinks, restaurants were extremely expensive and average quality. Example two small plates of fettuccine and three meat balls and sauce $120 Australian. Cheapest glass of wine 175mm $30 Australian. Staff helpful but waited until 3.00pm for room to be made up. Not our best experience.

Stayed here a night before flight home. The pool area was decent for a few hours in the afternoon. The room was nice, until we realized after dinner there was no A/C. We asked for a room close by but were moved to the far end, made no sense, we're only there for 10 more hours. All we want is a room with a/c. The InterContinental is much closer to the airport, we'd likely try there next time.
