Hilton Hotel Tahiti

A bucket list trip round the world, spoiled a little by our stay at this property. I've spent all my adult life staying in hotels. We booked 5 nights at the Hilton, checked out last Monday. Yes, the staff are friendly but efficient they aren't. For our first meal, the starter came after the main, our server then finished her shift and disappeared. Despite waving, no other staff came to clear the table or take another drink order for more than 20 mins. We later had a drink at the pool bar, had to sign our cheque before the drink was even poured or served. We were the only two at the bar with between 4 and 6 staff busy doing nothing, chopping lemons, shuffling bits of paper etc. We were never offered a second round. The worst service I've ever experienced, we never ate or drank in the hotel again for the rest of our stay. The staff may be friendly but don't seem to care about customer service. We have some 15~20 nights booked with Hilton during this trip and by far, the worst service experienced here. Another issue, we paid for an upgraded sea view room but ended up over the restaurant and bar area making it very noisy from morning til night.

We booked an ocean view room, it was over 700 for one night. At check in we were told they’d upgraded us to an ocean view villa. What we ended up in is a ground level room while larger had no view of the ocean, it looked at city lights, overgrown plants and on the patio there were loads of animal noises loud frogs and things. The food in the French restaurant we ate at was about a 3 oh a 10 scale and the cocktail was undrinkable. Overall very disappointed that we were taken advantage of and didn’t get the room or view we booked.

Great service. Good was incredible. Dessert was delicious. Beautiful cuts of fish/sashimi.

Location is beautiful close to the airport and the cruise port, front desk People are friendly, but they’re about the only ones. You could sit at the bar for hours and nobody even would say hello to you let alone take your order, rooms really need to be up dated, we had a huge crack in our slider, mold in the bathroom curtains were hanging off the walls, we called downstairs to get a sheet for the bed three times before anyone showed up. Just not what I would expect from Hilton for the money that we paid. I would not recommend to anybody as I’m sure there are other options for similar prices.

Timeri was wonderful! Service all around was great, and food was delicious!
