Killed ANTs all night! Go to the Intercontinental instead.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

A ton of ANTS. Spent my vaca killing them. Mgmnt wouldn't make it right. I called the front desk & they sent a maintenance worker who spray some areas but, couldn't reach high area. So, the ants just went up. I asked him to spray the area outside & I don't think he did. I killed hundreds of ant & had to unpack the last night & shake out my clothes. Diandra MAWHINNEY apologized via email but still charged us for both nights. Thanks for ending my birthday Tahitian dream vaca like this. On another note: prior to this stay, we stayed at the Intercontinental & it was absolutely amazing. Spend a few more $$ & get the Tahitian dream vaca with the Intercontinental.

Waste of money

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Food was over priced, for low quality and small portions. When we received the bill we realized we had been charged 8 dollars for two glasses of water. Absolutely ridiculous if you ask me, over all a waste of hard earned money.

Highly recommend for passing through

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We stopped here for the night as we were passing through Tahiti. This hotel is very conveniently located, is modern, and offers nice accommodations. Everyone was very friendly and there were a handful of food options. I was able to even walk from the hotel to the city of Papeete to go shopping. It’s about a 20 minute walk each way. It’s also connected to the nearby shopping mall which was nice to grab a few snacks at the local grocery store.

I stopped by Hilton Hotel Tahiti to pick up my guests for a private day tour. The staff were very helpful and friendly — excellent service and warm hospitality as always!

Convenient for a Layover

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Not every airline flies to Tahiti every day. We found ourselves with a two-day layover before a cruise. Although expensive, the Hilton proved to be a convenient and comfortable place to hang out. The pool was definitely the highlight of our stay. We found it large, with plenty of lounge chairs, towel service, and swim-up bar. Once we had enough sun, the poolside and beach-view covered outdoor bar was also a nice place to relax. The hotel is only about a 10-minute drive to the airport and not much farther to the town center and cruise ship port. Restaurant and bar prices take advantage that the location makes you a bit of a captive audience, but the food was good.
