Would not return or recommend. We stayed at InterContinental Tahiti Resort and Spa as part of our honeymoon, which was clearly noted on our reservation, but there was no acknowledgment at check in. There was no welcome, no note, and nothing in the room. As an IHG Diamond Elite member, I also expected basic recognition of status benefits, which was missing. At checkout, we had a frustrating experience regarding breakfast charges. Breakfast is included as a Diamond benefit, yet we were charged and had to go back and forth with the front desk to have it removed. This happened while our taxi to the ferry was waiting, which made the situation even more stressful. It was eventually corrected, but it should not have required that level of effort. We had also requested late checkout in advance, which is another Diamond benefit, but were told no decision could be made. This added to the overall lack of service and clarity. We ultimately left early out of frustration. The food was another major disappointment. While we expected resort pricing, the quality did not justify the cost. The breakfast buffet was around $110 for two, the brunch show about $150, and even basic drinks were extremely overpriced. Two mimosas cost $60 and were among the worst we have had. Overall, this was a disappointing start to our honeymoon. Between the service issues, lack of recognition, and poor value for food and drinks, this experience did not meet the standards expected of an InterContinental property, and we would not return or recommend it.

The InterContinental Tahiti was fantastic. Although the resort is older, it’s beautifully maintained. Our renovated, modern room had an incredible ocean view of Moorea. We arrived early, enjoyed a great breakfast, and were able to check in thanks to Quentin at reception, he was very kind and helpful. The pools, snorkeling, water sports, and gym were all excellent. Le Lotus restaurant was a highlight with delicious food and stunning views. Highly recommend! Teva from concierge made reservation for dinners and helped us plan our half day. Teva was super helpful and friendly.

We booked the Intercontinental for our last afternoon and evening in Papeete before our 3am flight. This resort is absolutely lovely, there are 3 pools to choose from, the main pool a lagoonarium and the sandy bottom infinity with a beach and swim up bar! The staff on all departments were lovely and friendly and the service was great! The rooms are very clean, well appointed and to the high Intercontinental standard. We loved our stay here, just wish it could have been longer!

Excellent Customer care. Got in early and they were very accommodating- full facilities access and large transit room. My room was somewhat of a distance from lobby and they were always fast to offer a ride. Lots of food selection ( no pricier than any US city). Of course the resort itself has a great location and views and is a quick cab ride to the downtown.

Beautiful grounds, rooms are great, view magnificent. Nice layout of property. We were there in 2017 so we have seen notable improvements. The turtle rehabilitation program is outstanding. Great opportunity to try new foods in the buffets as everything is well labeled. Food and beverages are expensive. Outstanding gym with new equipment. Concierge is most helpful before and during the stay. Would recommend.
