Cheval Blanc unveils its new contemporary haven in the heart of the City of Light. Under the Pont Neuf flows the Seine. In the heart of the City of Light, a few steps away from the Louvre and the Marais, in front of the Left Bank, rises Cheval Blanc Paris with majesty. A historical building with a contemporary spirit imagined by Peter Marino. A strong sense of Art Déco heritage and a tribute to French savoir-faire and craftsmanship.

Booked 6 nights at the Cheval Blanc at the suggestion of a Parisian friend and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The property is absolutely beautiful and our room was very nice and well equipped. We come to Paris 1-2 times per year and usually stay at the Ritz (3/4) or George V (1/4) but was really looking forward to a nice time in a new hotel in a different location. First, the good news. Dinner at Plentitude is everything it’s supposed to be with great food and incredibly kind service. If you can wrangle a reservation I highly suggest it. Unfortunately that was about the extent of the positives. Breakfast is an absolute disaster. I wish I can say it was only having to ask for the same things 2-3 times but it was much worse than that. On the two mornings we were there multiple tables had to actually get out of their seats to find someone to get them the coffee or baguettes or whatever it was that they were requesting. We all looked at each other in disbelief. I was hoping it might have just been a bad day for the restaurant but the second day was even worse. Before spending 3500 euro at Plentitude we requested a few things from housekeeping including some items that weren’t replaced in the morning service. We came back to the room after dinner to find it was not turned down and the air conditioning which was not working well still in its same state. Hard to believe for 4000 euro/night this is the service you get. We then decided the next day we would check out and stay somewhere else. The next morning a kind young woman called to discuss our experience but by then it was far too late. We are now off to the George V where we are very confident we will have an enjoyable stay. It is very much a shame such a nice property can be run so poorly but unfortunately this is the case. If I thought there was any possibility these problems could be fixed we would have stayed there instead of moving but I thought it was clear this hotel is just not run well and nothing would change. We are now checked into the Four Seasons and couldn’t be happier to be here.

One of the best hotel experiences ever! The facilities, the food, the decor and - of course - the people. Especially Simon at the front desk who made sure my stay was perfect in every way 💕 I would return in a heartbeat!

Modern, beautifully run, and a genuine competitor to the George V which from me is not a phrase I hand out lightly. Expensive, and not a great "value," but it delivers, which is the part that actually matters. The staff are excellent. The pool in the basement is one of the best hotel pools in Paris, worth the trip down on its own. A practical tip: ask for a firm bed and a high floor. Even the smaller rooms put you right at the windows, and the view from up there is spectacular but there is street noise.. The shower with the steam function is fantastic. Everything works the way it should, and the people make it better. Easy to recommend if you are willing to pay a premium.

What a disappointing experience! I love the Palace feel and the Service so I had le Cheval Blanc on my bucket list. I booked through Amex Platinum. At arrival i was guided to the front desk. Rude staff. No welcome. No smile. Not offered a drink. Seems like i was not a worthy customer maybe cause i only had booked a Deluxe Suite? I asked for the upgrade, a perch with Amex booking. Reply was no upgrade available at next room category. I went on the net and there was availability on the next category. I made the remark. Reply was that the room was too noisy close to top floor and therefore it was not offered to me. Is it a joke? The Spa is nice and service great there. Would have been great with a jacuzzi. Dinner at the top floor was good but a bit slow. Great view! Lunch at the fish spot was amazing. The room was nice and very well equiped. Amenities were amazing, top class! The breakfast was the worse experience ever in a 5 star hotel. The staff was not focused, i did not get the ordered coffee, my fromage blanc was replaced by cream, wrong egg dish; how can it turn so bad? The quality of the food was not a the level expected, the salmon was really not tasty. Cost saving? The check out was a nightmare. My luggage was not fetched in time in my room. Check out 16.00, at 19.00 when i took a taxi no one knew where my luggage had gone. It took 30mn before the staff realised there were still in the room. How can it be? I paid a fee of 50 eur due to the fact that the taxi waited for me. No excuse. I am a positive person and i am travelling around the world. This is the worse ever experience in a five star hotel. Time to act and improve !

When you visit Paris, the City of Light, you think of her beautiful sites, delicious cuisine, gorgeous architecture and historical monuments are the secret to her Famous reputation but Cheval Blanc Hotel Paris has another SECRET UNFORGETTABLE ELEMENT THAT DEFINES THE HOTEL AND DEFINES LOUIS VUITTON’S (parent company) VISION FOR UPLIFTING AND ELECTRIFYING THE SOULS OF THEIR GUESTS…Loving, Welcoming, Kind, Caring, Professional and Respectful Staff… that’s their SECRET. They hire the BEST OF THE BEST like Margaux Médeau(head of front office), the First Impression for guests and the last Impression upon checkout or just leaving to see the city. Margaux assembled the DREAM TEAM OF HOSPITALITY thus creating an unforgettable experience for Guests. I’ve never seen a leader so loved by staff, while I love all the staff except one hostess at the rooftop restaurant lol, my wife and I Love the front door staff like our sons. Whether staying there or visiting, I make a point to see them, they are very Special to Us… each and everyone of them are STARS, they uplift the Guest, add so much to the Guest experience because of their sweet smiles, kind words and kind tone… their actions, running to guests or visitors to help or open a car door or carry packages. They are the face of Hospitality and all of them ADORE Margaux Médeau, they light up when talking about how Special Margaux is and I agree. I saw Margaux last week and asked her how Cheval Blanc is so SPECIAL and she gave credit to the Hotel Director( called G.M) in America. She gave glowing remarks about her Boss and didn’t talk about herself. She’s very Special to us like the Sweet Bellman. I met the Most Incredible restaurant General Manager in the World while at the Famous Rooftop restaurant and bar( the only hotel on the famous Seine River with Glorious views) , Fabio was absolutely a delight to talk to so my wife and I now call him Fabulous Fabio. :). He’s smart professional respectful kind caring welcoming with a warm personality. He became one of our favorites in the world, he came over to me because a hostess was being rude as I asked for a bar table if available, an angry rude look was her response when I said my wife just had an amazing Dior Massage and we thought we’d have drinks before leaving, the bar area was 30 percent full but she said no in a very disrespectful voice and angry look, I was shocked for many reasons, 1. it’s never happened before, 2. I’ve been there many many times 3. I’m known in the hotel for gifting almost every staff member I see…from the front door to the restaurant to sweet bathroom attendants ( male and female) to security and even the sweet girl in the Spa front desk and of course the spa massage therapist. I’m not saying I’m Special, I’m saying I love staff, I love showing them that all of them are important and loved by us. They are the Heart beat of the Hotel so I gift 20€ 50€ or 100€ bills to Special Staff. My way of showing love and respect is to gift people and smile. This is why I was surprised by being so disrespected but Fabio fixed it in 2 seconds with a smile, a handshake and gave us a Great table and took great care of us. DO I STILL LOVE CHEVAL BLANC? YES, even more than before because of a Giant Security Guard sweetly said goodbye with my name lol( how did he remember) because Fabio became our new Friend, because all our Doormen sons surrounded us with smiles and love as we left( of course I gifted them all). So, I highly recommend you stay or visit the Cheval Blanc Paris, the cuisine is Amazing, the Location is the Best in France, the Dior Spa is the Best in the World and the STAFF, oh the Beautiful Kind Caring Staff, I get chills thinking about how SPECIAL THE STAFF IS… from Christian Boyens who opened the Hotel years ago to the Fantastic Leaders ( Directors GMs Managers) to each and every staff member who create such a welcoming loving kind caring experience for guests everyday except for that rude hostess lol. Margaux, Fabio, our Doormen Sons and the sweet young Spa receptionist who we thought was amazing and talked about her Bosses in a Glowing manner(Fri. May 15, 6:30 appt)… we missed you all the moment we got in the car and left. WE LOVE LOVE YOU ALL❤️🇫🇷❤️🙏❤️
