Hotel Balzac Paris is in the heart of the City of Light. Parisian-chic design, a vibrant color palette and soft lighting drape this property—part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts—in warm elegance, setting the tone for an exceptional experience. Built for the director of the Paris Opera in 1853, this deluxe townhouse-style boutique hums with the French art de vivre, serving as a plush sanctuary for rest and relaxation and a central headquarters for your Parisian holiday. Honoré de Balzac, the prolific and influential writer for whom the hotel is named, once made his home on the site, and collections of antique books and lithographs depicting the author and scenes from his work adorn the property. 13 suites and 57 rooms marry opulent details like oak-floored entrances and marble bathrooms to state-of-the-art technology, including LCD televisions, cable and internet access. Romantic skyline views of the exquisite Eiffel Tower from the third floor up are available by special request.

Perfect location: quiet quarter and close to the main street of the city. Cozy design of the rooms and absolutely amazing views, especially to La Tour Eiffel. Lovely spa center. Hotel team provides welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks to Jihad - his professionalism and efficiency are always remarkable, he handles every request promptly and with a smile.

I had a truly exceptional stay at this magnificent hotel. The location is ideal, and the service is impeccable, offering a level of personalized attention that makes all the difference. Much of this memorable experience is thanks to Jihad, whose dedication to detail and genuine care for every guest’s well-being truly stood out. My sincere thanks to him and to the entire team.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Balzac in France, even though it was just for one night. From the moment we arrived, everything felt refined, calm, and perfectly organized. The hotel has a beautiful classic Parisian charm combined with modern comfort, and the room was spotless, cozy, and very well designed. A special thank you to our advisor Jihad, who made the experience even better. He was extremely professional, kind, and attentive, and ensured that everything went smoothly during our stay. His support and hospitality truly stood out and made us feel very welcome. We highly recommend Hotel Balzac for anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and memorable stay in Paris. We would definitely love to come back again.

We stayed at Hotel Balzac from December 30 to January 2 to celebrate our anniversary. While the hotel is beautifully designed, the bed was very comfortable, and we received a room upgrade, the overall experience was underwhelming. Pre-arrival communication was poor, anniversary requests were not acknowledged, and service lacked attention to detail throughout the stay. Several basic amenities were missing or inconsistent, breakfast service was disorganised, and communication around New Year’s Eve disruptions was delivered too late. For a Michelin-key hotel at this price point, service consistency and small gestures need significant improvement.

Hotel Balzac has officially become MY Paris hotel. I’ve stayed in 5-star properties all over the world—Four Seasons, Rosewood, you name it—so it takes a lot for a hotel to truly impress me. Balzac did more than that. It surprised me, delighted me, and honestly changed the way I think about hospitality. The moment I walked in, I felt it. The lobby wrapped in warm wood, soft lighting, the kind of atmosphere that makes you breathe a little deeper. No over-the-top flash—just quiet confidence and taste. My room? Immaculate. Thoughtful design, luxurious without trying too hard, everything exactly where it should be. And the food… rich, layered, unforgettable. I’m still thinking about it. But the people—that’s what sealed it for me. Everyone was kind, present, and professional without that stiff formality you sometimes get in luxury hotels. They made it feel easy. Natural. Human. This was more than a great stay. It was one of those experiences that stays with you. Hotel Balzac is now my first choice in Paris, and I’ll be back without question.
