Hotel Bel-Ami

We stayed in the Bel Ami for the French Open so it was pretty expensive for what we got in my opinion. First the positives - the location is great, the service was good and the breakfast was very good. On the negative side, our room was extremely small (we had a midsized room for the hotel). And we had a water leak in our room from the air conditioner which would dump water on our floor daily. The hotel staff did eventually fix this after a few days but they were not able to provide us with a room change (which I get - they were fully booked) but I was expecting them to comp us with something off our bill (which they did not do).

Stayed for four nights: -Service was generally good, but not 5-stars -The rooms were very small and no upgrades were given -Food in general was average -Good soundproofing -Slow wifi -AC worked great -Small elevator -Fantastic location -Great housekeeping and hygiene -Generally good value for the location and price I’ll update if I think of something else

I’ve been staying at Hôtel Bel Ami for nearly 20 years, and several times just this year. It truly feels like my home in Paris. After sharing some feedback earlier this year, I’ve seen a remarkable difference — the team has been incredibly attentive and consistently offers the best rooms available. The level of service is truly above Paris standards. During my latest stay with a friend, we were hosted in a beautiful terrace apartment. We especially enjoyed spending time on the terrace. Breakfast is always excellent, and the restaurant team is warm and welcoming — it genuinely feels like seeing friends. The concierge and reception teams are equally outstanding, always professional, kind, and attentive. The location in Saint-Germain is perfect. I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Paris.

The location in the sixth arrondissement was perfect for us! While we never used the metro, it’s very close by as were many superb restaurants, and affordable bistros. Walkable to the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens, and Pont Neuf. There is a Jazz club on the same block. The staff at Bel Ami hotel were welcoming, warm, and friendly! Our room was delightful, comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and bar were perfect for when we wanted to stay in. I recommend the hot chocolate and onion soup. Everyone spoke English so whether you need directions, room service or extra coffee pods for the Krups Espresso maker, no worries.

Always a pleasure! Great location! Clean, well appointed rooms and wonderful staff! Our home away from home on our semi-annual trips to Paris! Highly recommend!
