Hotel Lutetia is an iconic landmark situated in the vibrant Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris and the only luxury Palace hotel on the city's Left Bank. Originally opened in 1910, the building's design was a daring move from Art Nouveau to the emerging style of Art Deco. The Lutetia delivers an authentic Parisian experience and has been at the heart of the local community for more than 100 years. The hotel now features an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and lounges throughout the historical ground floor including the iconic Brasserie Lutetia and Bar Joséphine. Unique to the area, Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is Lutetia's 700 sqm/7,500 sqft spa dedicated to wellbeing and fitness and featuring a 17m swimming pool bathed in natural daylight.

The service was a 10 in all areas of the hotel. There was a taxi strike the day of our departure and the bellman actually walked our luggage (7 Pieces) 5 blocks to a location to meet our ride to the airport. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was with our bathtub ... staff did try to fix it but it was something they would have to take care of after our departure. (they did offer to switch our room) The dining/bar areas are wonderful. The area where the hotel is located is much quieter than the right bank but with all the shops and restaurants you could ask for. We highly recommend this perfectly located property.

The Lutetia -- now known as the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia -- still stands as the queen of luxury hotels in Paris. While we have stayed at the rarable and beautiful George V in the past, the element added here as opposed to there is simple: kindness. Sincere kindness. Kudos to the entire bar staff at bar Josephine, as well as the management for taking care of us and our cousins who stayed there with us as well. Truly worth worthy of five star quality, and acclaim. My hope is that the Mandarin does not screw things up. Lol. Will be there again soon.

after our river Cruise sur le Seine we extended our vacation for 4 nights in Paris to celebrate our 40th anniversary, on the recommendation of our travel agent we booked our stay at the glamorous Hotel Lutetia. There aren’t words enough to describe this fabulous and iconic address. Hotel Lutetia is the epitome of elegance, friendliness where everybody goes out of his/her way and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care of . Victoria the guest relations director felt almost like family and ever so helpful to us. Marouane at reception desk was outstanding as well as Azzedine in dining ( breakfast) room and Ricardo at housekeeping , the young women at Concierge and Reception are all darling and ever so gracious and helpful. Breakfast is abundant with great presentation and the highest of quality in every aspect. -The only negative on and about is : “ why oh why didn’t we stay longer” Hopefully there’ll be a next time. Thank you all guys.

As expected, the hotel facilities and furnishings were of the highest quality. Also, the food was excellent and the location is very convenient to everything. But the hotel really stands out in terms of service. The front desk (reception and reservations) and concierge departments were above and beyond my expectations (and I have high expectations).
