Hotel Pont Royal

We know where to stay when we’re coming to Paris—this is the spot. It’s in the most incredible neighborhood, the staff is amazing and our room is just the delightful cozy respite we need after a long day of fun.

Unfortunately, this is NOT five-star accommodation. The entire stay was extremely disappointing, so I would not recommend staying here if you expect a high level of service. Positives: - Location - Some of the staff Negatives: - The rooms are very old and run-down, with chipped wood, dust throughout, and power outlet locations that make no sense. - The beds are very lumpy and not comfortable - The hallways are dusty, with stained and ripped carpets. - Whenever someone leaves a room on our floor, the entire wall shakes when the door shuts. This was particularly disruptive when housekeeping was going in and out repeatedly, making it far from a relaxing stay. - The power went out in the middle of the night, and a staff member had to climb into the ceiling to fix it. As a result, the food we had in the fridge spoiled. - The hotel breakfast is very average, and the atmosphere in the dining area feels more like a cheap café than a five-star hotel. - It appears there is no proper kitchen onsite. I was told by a staff member room service meals are purchased ready-made frozen or chilled and then reheated upon ordering, the food quality was very poor. - I have concerns about security, as no key card is required to access the elevator, meaning anyone can enter the building. - There was only one working elevator for the entire hotel, which made getting around very slow. It also broke down during our stay. - Simple requests, such as cleaning the room at a specific time or having additional water delivered, were either missed or ignored, requiring multiple follow-ups. For the price paid I was expecting a much better hotel and I feel sorry for the staff because it's very clear that the owners and management do not value or want to invest in simple things that provide a great guest experience.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Pont Royal. Traveling with my two children (ages 9 and 15), safety and convenience were top priorities for me, and this hotel exceeded all expectations. The location is fantastic—within easy walking distance to many of Paris’s most iconic landmarks, which made exploring the city effortless and enjoyable for our family. The hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained, with a classic Parisian charm that made our stay feel extra special. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. One of the most memorable touches was the daily handwritten notes accompanied by a special treat—it was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. I would highly recommend this hotel to families or anyone looking for a safe, elegant, and centrally located place to stay in Paris. We would absolutely return!

Such a cosy, lovely place. Perfect location. Rooms are spacy, quite, clean and comfortable. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, nice bar with live Jazz in the evening. The little balcony with a view at Tour Eiffel was a highlight. We will be back for sure. Merci beaucoup et a bientot!!

We chose this hotel after a search for an area we thought we’d like on our first ever Paris visit. Had great reviews and is in a great spot. Arrived from the states at 11am and they gladly/safely held our bags until check in, while we walked Rue du Bac and St Germain. From front desk to housekeeping to bar (we did not use restaurant), every staff member was friendly and polite. Being our anniversary, we chose a superior room with Eiffel Tower view. Room was large by European standards, clean, comfortable, nice bathroom with tub, as well as a safe and espresso/tea maker. Easy walk to Orsay Museum, Louvre, Le Calife (dinner boat on Seine) and near Metro (we Ubered everywhere instead). Treats left in room for us and fresh water. First impressions are everything and they not only provided us with a great impression of their hotel but also a great memory of this beautiful city. Would book again for sure!
