Hotel Regina Louvre

My husband and I spent the first 6 days of our 50th anniversary trip in Paris at the Hotel Regina. Everything was over-the-top special. All the extra touches to our room were lovely and greatly appreciated—rose petal heart!!! The staff was excellent, especially Michal, one of the concierges. He helped us arrange tickets for several events as well as helping us put together a picnic on the banks of the Seine. The Spa was delightful at the end of busy days. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. It was a joyful time made more so by the beautiful people and place.

Great hotel. Fantastic location right across from the Louvre museum. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Rooms are very spacious and sophisticated. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!

We stayed three nights in a Superior Room with views of the Louvre. A wonderful surprise was that the room also had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The historic hotel is very lovely, but it was the location that really stood out, which also explains the higher price. The air conditioning worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very quiet despite being on a busy street. The room was also very clean, and we appreciated how well it was refreshed each day. A nice touch was receiving bottled water each evening. The reception staff was very helpful and welcoming. Our experience with the concierge, however, was a little mixed and not quite what we expected. The bathroom is in need of renovation. The shower/tub was somewhat cumbersome because it only had a handheld showerhead, which made showering a bit difficult. I can understand why the hotel advises guests with mobility issues not to reserve this particular room. The vanity also needs to be replaced, as the drawers showed signs of water damage. The hair dryer was quite weak as well. Overall, we had a nice experience. The beautiful historic setting, outstanding location, cleanliness, comfortable bed, and excellent daily room service were definite highlights. With some updating to the bathroom and a few room amenities, this hotel could be an even better experience.

This was not my first visit to the Regina. It is a lovely, well-located hotel. For the most part it was a successful trip. Reception was accommodating, the room was perfect and one of the two issues were addressed (the refrigerator) and the the makeup mirror not. Those were minor concerns. The concierge desk was unaccomodating — refusing to simply provide change for large bills! Or provide help with a taxi (they’re around the corner or you didn’t ask in time.) We enjoyed our stay including the lovely dinner at Chez Suzy.

From the personalized service at check in to the quality of the rooms and the food options at breakfast and in the lounge, a stay at Hotel Regina is exceptional. Views and location are extraordinary
