Overpriced tiny rooms

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The room I got was teeny tiny. The bathroom was split into two closet sized rooms on opposite corners. There was a tiny toilet closet and you had to walk across the room to use the sink in another tiny sized room. The sink didn’t drain properly and the soap buildup would collect around the edges. It was disgusting to see. For the price you pay, it’s not worth it. There are better rooms in 3 star hotels. You’re paying for the location here because you can see the Eiffel Tower from the entrance and can easily walk to the Trocadero for more Eiffel Tower views. The staff were very kind and helpful but this place is way overpriced for me what it is.

Great location with everything nearby.

Stayed in July. Weather was warm but got hotter as the days went by. We arrived at lunch time due to our train schedule from Caen. We knew our room wouldn’t be ready but checked in anyway. We met Omran at the front desk. Our preference is always a top floor so that is what we requested. Omran said he would do his best. We went to lunch at the cafe across the street then walked around a bit to kill time while the rooms were being cleaned and prepared. When we returned after 2 in the afternoon we sat in the lobby to cool down, said hello to Omran so he would know we were back. We didn’t wait long. They had already taken our bags to the room when we were told our room was ready. To our surprise we were given a room on the top floor which is what we wanted. Shukran to Omran for giving us the floor we wanted without having to tell him we were celebrating our 15 wedding anniversary. That’s great customer service and with a smile. Such a kind front desk CSR. ROOM: The room is small. No drawers to unpack your clothes. The closet has space for hanging clothes. There is also a safe. The shower has plenty of hot water and good pressure. A hand held and rain shower head are available. The bathroom is also compact. There is shelf space to place things if you move the towels to one side but no towel racks to hang hand towels. The location of the toilet was the worst. The shower glass was right in front of the toilet so when you sat down your knees would be touching the glass and I am a short person. My hubby hated it as he is tall. The AC: our first night we noticed the room getting warmer so we turned the thermostat and nothing changed. We called the front desk and they confirmed the AC was out on the top floors. They brought us a fan and told us to open the window for air flow. We got lucky that evening because the wind was blowing and the night was cool so we were able to stay cool but you could hear all the street noise. The next day by noon the AC was fixed. Even though this hotel has small rooms and is expensive, it is in a good area. Lots of restaurants nearby, grocery stores to the left and right of the hotel, laundromat to the left, pharmacy across the street and Starbucks & McDonalds within walking distance. Breakfast was included in our rate. Mostly fruits and breads. No hot dishes at the buffet. It’s filler until you get to your next stop. We did have dinner one night at the restaurant. I would say avoid it for dinner. Plenty of good restaurants nearby the hotel. This hotel is a great location if you want to be near the Eiffel Tower.

The hotel is beautiful. The rooms though are small so pack lite. Also if you plan to relax in the rooms the TV is not a smart TV. You have to board cast from your phone to the TV every hour or so the service will cut out and you can not connect though the app. You have to shut down the TV to get it to work again. This is one of the most annoying thing about this place.

Impeccable staff & spotless property—Parisian hospitality at its best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

From the moment we stepped into Le Metropolitan, the team set a new bar for service. Every interaction (door, front desk, breakfast) was warm, professional, and genuinely focused on making our stay effortless. It’s refreshing to see a staff that clearly takes pride in a job well done! The property itself is beautifully maintained. Public spaces feel boutique-elegant. Rooms are compact (no surprise in Paris) yet have high-quality linens and comfy mattresses. Location is ideal: a quiet residential pocket of the 16th, but a short stroll to Trocadéro and the Seine. After long sightseeing days, we loved retreating to the calm.

Bed Bugs - Rude - Avoid

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I 100% would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The worst service. The employees were beyond rude. Bed bugs in our room. We left early. The employee refused to issue a refund for the days and nights not stayed. When we asked for the manager we were given a card with a number that did not work. The employees are not apologetic and defensive when you approach employees about issues with the room or hotel. Non-apologetic. Do not book this hotel. To boot, the “air conditioning” only works intermittently in the rooms while the employees and staff claim “it is working” while the room temperature continues to climb. Your money is better suited at another hotel who actually appreciates your business.
