Beautiful, très chic Paris is in fine form at Les Jardins du Marais. Behind an unassuming façade on Rue Amelot in Marais, this Summit Hotels & Resorts property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, adds a contemporary edge to 1930s glamour in rooms outfitted with plush purple carpeting and Macassar ebony furniture. Sunlight floods the lobby and restaurant through a glass roof, and blossoming flowers are everywhere. Nine renovated, historic buildings comprise the hotel – one used to house Gustave Eiffel’s workshop.

The location is good, especially for walking to the Picasso Museum. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is no restaurant during a refurbishment and nearby restaurants and bars are mediocre, certainly not four star standard. I was not advised in advance of the lack of restaurant. Breakfast is served in a separate building and is high quality but if it is raining that would not work well. The reception area is far from suitable, especially when groups of people arrive. The staff are friendly and helpful and do their best under difficult circumstances. Hopefully, everything will improve when the building work is completed.

Stayed here for a 4 day trip to Paris for my wifes 40th. This was booked as a holiday package through Easyjet. Hotel came up as quite cheap in comparison to some of the other options. Overall the hotel was good (not great). The photos make it look a lot better than it actually is. A few bits are a little old and tired and in need of refurbishment. The first room we were put in wasn't great, it was on the street side and very loud until 2am with a local bar with outdoor seating and it smelt of drains. The staff were lovely and moved our room with no qualms. Second room looked over the gardens which was much better. My only grip about that room was that the bed backed onto the lift shaft and that was a little noisy (squeaking) at night. We were happy to cope with this because we were so tired from all the walking and couldn't cope with moving. One thing that did disappoint was that the hotel bar / restaurant was closed for refurbishment which we were not made aware of at the time of booking. The gardens were lovely, and it would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine in them as a pit stop. Breakfast was decent, staff were lovely, great location. Would recommend highly, just might not be quite as fancy as you expect.

I stayed in this hotel with my teenage daughter in Feb 2026. We chose the hotel for its location and price and we were very happy with both. We only stayed one night and were hardly in the hotel but we found the bed very comfortable and we felt safe. Front desk were friendly and helpful, we were lucky to get an upgraded room (we didn't ask) and they offered water and umbrellas and there was no problem storing our luggage. A quick hop to and from the Eurostar on one line and on the doorstep of Le Marais. The décor is a quite dated and lets the hotel down and a full length mirror in the room would have been good. I read some bad reviews just before our trip, but we were very happy with the hotel and would definitely book again - especially when it is warmer and dryer as the courtyard would come to life then.

Several metro stations in the vicinity to get you quickly and easily to all the places you want to be in Paris! Walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are well furnished and cosy. Room amenities included kettle, coffee machine, microwave and fridge which was extremely handy.

A Great one night stay in Paris, stayed in a suite 3 adults and 1 child, room was very big, kitchenette with fridge, big sofa bed, a very large bed was very comfy, nice decor, 2 bottles of water and welcome chocolates we didn’t use the hotel facilities as we only had one day in Paris, the reception team were very helpful and had our baggage stored for us until we returned late, they also loaned us an umbrella for the day. The area was nice metro 2 minute walk away, big supermarket up the street a range of cafes and restaurants right beside the hotel. Overall a great stay
