Now it is possible to experience being rocked to sleep at OFF Paris Seine, the city’s first floating accommodation. The hotel host 54 rooms and 4 suites, an internal patio, a plunge pool and a marina. The OFF Paris Seine Hotel is actually a catamaran based on two twin buildings placed side by side and crossed by the river, like Paris is crossed by the Seine.

It’s a very nice and chill hotel; nice with the pool, easy to travel all over the city by the metro. Receptionist were very nice and service minded, but the restaurant…. Don’t get me started…. Takes for ever to get a drink, they waiter need to be fetched from behind the bar, and when I asked for a meny, I got it, I had a look…decided( and when I (had to go inside to find the waiter..) he said: the kitchen is closed….???!! So why did he hand me a menu in the first place?? Very strange. Also, this place is so lovely, bit too bad they can’t offer more food, then a very small menu/ finger food. We had, over all a lovely stay, the noise from train / river boats didn’t bother us.

I booked this hotel because on our last morning we'd need to catch a 6:30 AM train at Gare d'Austerlitz and this hotel is across the street from the station. Welp, mixed bag. There is a reason why OFF is the only hotel by Gare D'Austerlitz. The area is noisy, trafficky, charmless and lacking in conveniences. No restaurants visible from hotel. A nearby bridge is rattled by trains every five minutes, thanks to being across the street from Gare d'Austerlitz. And it has major access issues. Cars can't drive up to it. You have to walk a hundred yards or so including many stairs to get to the hotel. And the rooms are really small, because it is, after all, a boat. Positives: very cool décor, very comfy bed, decent service, interesting boat traffic on the Seine, and it IS, after all (shall I say it again?), directly across the street from Gare D'Austerlitz. That minor virtue is nullified by the fact that to GET to the station, you have to carry your bags 100 yards up several flights of stairs. I would've been better off staying at a nicer hotel and simply taking a cab to the station. Seniors, disabled people and large people in particular will be very unhappy here because of tight spaces and so many stairs (even ON the boat!). Who would be happy at OFF? I'm not sure. People who are young, thin and like gritty, inconvenient neighborhoods?

First, you need to understand you are on the river, you are near a train bridge, what goes on this bridge, trains. I used ear plugs that I always travel with no matter where I go. We are a 71 yr old couple loving and living life. We had so much fun at this unusual full service hotel. We waved are the people at night that were dining and slept with the windows open to see the lights. We walked to Notre Dame, used the transit system that we figured out and dined at local restaurants when we had enough energy. The breakfast was delicious and watching the boats go by made it all the better. Loved the coffee machine. There was such a slight bit of movement I could not feel it. We stayed in the orange room which was an upgrade. Plenty of room overlooking the Seine River and the bridge. It was just lovely. I’d positively stay there again and highly recommend it. If you are a constant complainer, stay elsewhere. If you can go with the flow and enjoy a unique style of hotel with a flair which for us is unforgettable. This is the only barge hotel in Paris. The staff was king and helpful. English was spoken, a little broken but understandable. You are in a foreign country. We just loved our stay of 5 days!

Stay at Hotel Off Seine for a unique and relaxing trip. The hotel is eveything we wanted. A short walk from the metro and a longer, but doable, 30 minute walk to the Notre Dame. The rooms were cleaned every day and we loved the complementary champagne and shower products. The noise from the river party boats and building work from the metro can be quite loud through the night, but we slept well otherwise. The beds were comfy and clean. Staff were very friendly. We will recommend to friends and family.

More stable than a boat, a pretty unique concept and decoration for a very comfortable experience in downtown Paris. Off makes it a memorable stay on the Seine in Paris.
