Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome

I really enjoyed the Park Hyatt. The rooms are refined and comfortable. Location is good. The hallways are classy. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast was not great, but was very good. Two negatives, one very troubling. I had a nice breakfast and did not leave a tip (as I would in the US), but when checking out ~2 hours after breakfast, there was a 10 Euro charge (for the breakfast that was included with the room). Someone at the hotel apparently "doctored" the bill to add a tip. First time this has happened to me. The other negative is that I gave Cafe' Jeanne a try for dinner (PUR' was on holiday), and the food was disappointing though service was very pleasant. Notwithstanding the apparent fraud, I would return to Park Hyatt Paris.

Our stay at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme was memorable from the first minute. On arrival, our taxi driver's card terminal failed and I had no cash on me. Without any fuss, the hotel staff came out and paid the driver in cash on the spot. A small crisis resolved with total grace, and it set the tone for everything that followed. The location could not be better. The hotel sits on Rue de la Paix, a minute's walk from Place Vendôme, with the Opéra Garnier at one end of the street and the Tuileries and the Louvre a short stroll away. Everything we wanted from Paris was on foot, and returning to the hotel each evening felt like coming home to the calmest address in the city. And it really is calm. Despite being in the very heart of Paris, the suite was remarkably quiet. We never heard traffic, corridors, or neighboring rooms, and we slept beautifully every night. The atmosphere throughout the hotel matches that serenity: understated, elegant, and discreet rather than showy, with beautiful materials, soft lighting, and staff who seem to glide rather than rush. It is luxury with the volume turned down, which is exactly what we wanted. Our suite was gorgeous, generously sized, and thoughtfully laid out, with a marble bathroom that was a pleasure to use. Housekeeping was superb. The suite was kept immaculate throughout, serviced constantly and always to the highest standard. In a week we never once found so much as a smudge; cleanliness here is close to obsessive, in the best way. The in-room breakfast service was the highlight. The lady who served us on our last three mornings was exceptional. She remembered exactly how we liked everything laid out, brought the exotic fruits she knew we enjoyed, and made sure there were fresh flowers on the tray each morning. That level of attentiveness is rare anywhere, and it turned each breakfast into a genuine pleasure. That breakfast story sums up the service as a whole. Every department, from the front desk to housekeeping to the engineering team, was responsive, warm, and genuinely proactive. The amenities matched the standard: excellent in-room dining, fast complimentary Wi-Fi, fresh water replenished daily, and every request handled promptly and without fuss.

WOH Lifetime Globalist...just got back from a long weekend stay at this hotel (Thurs-Mon) after a 2 week vacation in Greece. PH Vendome is an amazing hotel and will return on my next trip to Paris. I would've given 5 stars (as they deserve it) but the hotel is under construction right now and there's a bit of loud work on-going. Under normal circumstances, this hotel would be 5 stars. It's centrally located, staff are incredibly helpful and professional, the hotel itself is a gem, spa is great, gym is very good, and Pur (Michelin restaurant onsite) is excellent.

This is a great hotel. High end experience rooms are comfortable andwell appointed. The Staff from the Concierge team to the Bartenders made us feel welcomed and valued Guests. The food was delicious. The hotel is centrally located to shopping and big highlights of Paris.

My adult daughter and I had the pleasure of staying at the PH Vendome for 8 wonderful nights over my daughter's 31st birthday! From the second we got out the car from the airport in front of the hotel, until the minute we got in the car to head back to the airport we experienced nothing short of amazing service, friendliness, smiles, and Bonjours from every single staff member we encountered. The location, in the 2nd, is perfect for walking to numerous different tourist spots as well as high end shopping, and some amazing restaurants. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms large (for Paris standards!), the air conditioning worked great (thankfully as it was hot!), the bed was so comfortable, and the breakfast! The breakfast is absolutely incredible! I have stayed at other PH around the world, and I must say the breakfast at the PH Vendome is the best I have come across! The hotel was very responsive to my emails ahead of time in regards to my using a GOH as well as being there over my daughter's 31st birthday. The hotel was fully booked while we were there so we did not get upgraded to a suite, but we did get an upgrade to a King Bed Deluxe which was greatly appreciated! We also received wonderful welcome amenities such as beautiful flowers, champagne, chocolates, and a lovely hand written note! On the exact day of my daughters birthday she was so surprised to receive balloons, champagne, a cake with a candle, and a small gift waiting for her upon return to our room after being gone all day! These extra touches are what put the PH Paris Vendome stand above all the other 5 star hotels in Paris. Thank you to the entire staff at the PH for making this trip to Paris so amazing for my daughter and I! She got a well deserved break from being a wife/mom of 2 busy toddlers and we got some priceless mother/daughter time! I will never stay anywhere other than the PH when in Paris!
