We returned to the hotel for another stay of two nights. The welcome and service were excellent, but the hotel is aging, and in my opinion, it urgently needs refurbishment in order to maintain its status as one of the leading hotels in the city. The room we initially received was on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking the patio. It included all the standard amenities and had a very comfortable bed. However, the bathroom did not meet our expectations and clearly requires an update. On the second night, we were moved to a suite on the fifth floor with a balcony facing the street — and that was a whole different league. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent, the spa was wonderful, and as mentioned, the service was outstanding. In summary, the hotel is great and located in a fantastic area, but it is showing signs of aging and urgent attention is needed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt Vendome. We were traveling as a family of 5, with three teens. We booked a two bedroom suite and have globalist status. We were upgraded to a larger two bedroom suite. It gave our family so much space, it was wonderful. The bathrooms were large as well as the spaces in the bedrooms and living space. Our room faced the courtyard and it was incredibly quiet. Our breakfast was included which you could have downstairs or in your room. And the best part, champagne was included at no extra cost. The staff went out of there way to ensure we were having the best stay and everything that we needed was done exactly how we wanted. Cannot recommend this hotel enough for couples or families. Many hotels are tough to find space for a larger family in Paris; this was absolutely perfect. 5 stars all around.

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel was amazing. Location was great. The value when booking with points is unparalleled. We were upgraded to a suite that was huge and great for our family. Housekeeping and all the staff were so helpful and professional. Would definitely stay again if going back to Paris. Only complaint would be the cost of the food and beverage at the hotel. For the price, would probably skip the breakfast buffet.

A peak season summer stay, the staff appeared clearly over-worked and frazzled. We were made to feel like just another faceless annoying tourists inundating their city. This feeling was in stark contrast to our stay at Hotel Avizes in Champagne and upon return to Paris, Hotel La Reserve, both of which made us feel like welcome, special guests. On the other hand, all of the hardware (lights, faucets, good shower pressure, wifi, clean towels and sheets) worked as should for the 5-star price tag. The street in front of the hotel is very busy and there is minimal overhang to shelter you from the elements; the bell staff was slow to greet us coming out of the car and with pedestrians galore in front, our check-in was a bit overwhelming after a long flight and car ride with our bleary eyes. We are seasoned travelers and can handle such situations fine, but I point this out because it's such a contrast to what you experience at similarly priced hotels like La Reserve or Cheval Blanc. The latter are the hotels we enjoy when we visit Paris. A good friend recommended Park Hyatt Place Vendome for its proximity to museums and shopping, so dipped our toe for one night. We will not return. I am a Hyatt Globalist, so we do enjoy the benefits and hospitality of other Hyatt properties. Notably, the front desk refused to consider allowing us to check in earlier (12 noon check-in is a Globalist privilege often honored) nor let us check out late (again a privilege usually honored,) and showed not even a hint of flexibility around the strict 3PM check-in and 11AM check out.

We organised a dinner for our client early July which had a conference to start with for about 25 people. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely fantastic! We then had dinner at their restaurant! We will definitely come back for more events.
