Prince de Galles, legendary jewel of the Parisian Art Deco movement, is a 5-star hotel in the Luxury Collection. Since its inception in 1928, the Prince de Galles has stood out as a beacon of sophistication and grace in Paris. The hotel is located on Avenue George V, a 5-minute walk from the Champs Elysées and Avenue Montaigne, as well as some of the most celebrated landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.

Wow. What an amazing hotel Prince de Galles is! We highly recommend this hotel. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, the staff makes you feel so welcome. The rooms are a perfect size, with plenty of closet space (a dream for clothes lovers like me). They’re cleaned twice daily, and room service was outstanding. The hotel has multiple restaurants plus a beautiful garden café, which was perfect to relax at when we first arrived. Amenities are top-notch — there’s a gym and a spa on-site. We went for a couples massage and received the best treatments from Jenny and Nora. All I can say is Merci! A special shoutout to Chloe and the concierge team, who went above and beyond with fantastic food recommendations that we absolutely loved. The location is perfect — close to everything, so no car is necessary. This hotel truly delivers a luxury experience in every way. Can’t wait to return!

First the good stuff- the concierge team is fabulous ! Can’t recommend them enough. The bed is very comfortable as well! Breakfast is sublime as well as room service . We’ve stayed many times through the years here but the amenities in room have gone down hill in terms of level of quality and offerings , especially in the bathroom . The maid and cleaning service left used tea cups and coffee cups sitting all day even when they did turn down service . It was also obvious that they didn’t clean the bathroom well either . The AC didn’t drop low enough to keep a cooler temp at night and it was in the 80’s in Paris for a few days so a bit stifling in the room . It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location but it’s hard to justify the price if the room amenities and upkeep and temperature are not as close to perfect as they used to be !

Booked a Luxury Collection hotel, got a 3-star experience with 5-star prices. Under-managed, run down, and endlessly apologetic — except apologies don’t make a holiday. Once upon a time, the Prince de Galles was a true Parisian gem. Now? Think 3–4 star performance wrapped in 5-star prices. The property is under-managed on nearly every front: faulty in-room equipment, inconsistent housekeeping, endless apologies instead of solutions, and staff who sometimes seem surprised by the basics of hospitality. At one point we were advised to wait until after 11am for the duty manager to “arrive” – apparently Paris mornings aren’t for managers? The decline is striking: what should have been a seamless luxury stay turned into a series of admin chores. At best, this no longer feels like a Luxury Collection property. On the positive side, the concierge team remains excellent – efficient, reliable, and a credit to the hotel. And Laura, in guest relations, deserves recognition for doing her very best in a difficult environment. Sadly, her efforts can’t disguise the fact that the hotel has slipped badly. If Marriott intends this to remain part of the Luxury Collection, serious management changes are overdue. Apologies are not a substitute for service — time for Marriott to step in.

From the moment we pulled up to front of the hotel and were met by the bellman - the service here was impeccable! Everyone greeted you with a smile. Service was literally flawless the entire stay. Restaurant - food was amazing. The only complaint was the room was a bit warm for our liking - but that same complaint is pretty much from every review of a European hotel during the summer.
