Reviews for Pullman Paris Centre - Bercy

Very comfortable modern

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

Wonderful modern place to stay, arranged by our tour company for which we are so thankful. Accommodations are very well maintained modern and comfortable. Staff are ALL friendly and very helpful. Special kudos to concierge Jeanine who helped us find "Eric in Paris" guided tours on very short notice and took great care to see that everything went smoothly throughout our stay. Included breakfast was very well done with LOTS of choices for every palate. Location adjacent to Bercy Village means lots of international dining within very easy reach.

Disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Positives: Room was spacious and clean. Location 40 min from main areas, approx 25 euros by taxi. Has a restaurant and bar which is good. Ambience is good. Has spa and pool, which we didn’t avail. Opposite Bercy village, a road of restaurants and shops- though expensive. Issues: Room was not ready for check in at 14:00. AC was turned off at nights from 22:00-07:00, and with lack of openable windows, we felt very suffocated. Bath plug didn’t work. They didn’t sort it even after it was reported. Had bad sleepless nights! Breakfast doesn’t have hot food for vegetarians except for potatoes. No fresh milk available. We don’t prefer the taste of long life milk/whitener. Overall, not worth the cost or star rating. Disappointed with the downfalls.

When we alighted from our taxi we walked across a slabbed area to the hotel entrance.there were several slabs that were broken and should be replaced. The hotel staff without exception are all helpful , doing an excellent job. The room was acceptable with a comfortable bed and included an iron plus ironing board. Daily two water bottles were provided. We noted a drip from between the ceiling panels onto the carpet. This was reported to Reception. After over 20 hours , nothing had been done, so I personally went to reception , and reminded them . I returned to the room and within 10 minutes, two staff members arrived and sorted the problem. The wet carpet was left soaked however. The windows were double glazed but need updating. Inside the room we could hear the road traffic and the sirens of emergency vehicles. The breakfast was a disappointing, despite the fresh orange juice , there was limited choice . Previously , we have stayed at the Pullman Berlin where the breakfast has a vast range of options. I note that all plates were small, with no 12 inch “ Alan Partridge “ plates available. The rooms were serviced by several lifts, but one was out of order during our entire stay. Was this to save on maintenance?

Excellent service and rooms

We had a 3 night stay here and it was wonderful. All of the staff were extremely helpful and nice. The rooms were large and very clean. It was a great place for our trip to Paris. I highly recommend this hotel. They even have a ping pong table and foosball in the common area.

Rude Staff

I booked a connected family room for 3 people for a week. The rooms are nice and have an espresso shots coffee machine. We are used to drinking American style coffee. They keep a bigger nespresso machine in the lobby for early morning travelers while everything is closed. We had booked several early morning tours at the hotel. While making multiple coffees for all of us one morning and taking to our room one by one, the manager complained I was making too many coffees!!! Not expected from a 4 star rated hotel charging us multiple thousands of dollars for the stay! Please educate the staff on customer service!
