Room comfortable and buffet breakfast very good. These good thoughts were dispersed when we returned to our room after an exhausting day out. We were out from the room from 8am and returned at 5pm and the room had not even been entered for service. How disappointing.

Beware this is a bad Hotel with very bad customer service, and its main aim is to rip you off once you get here. The main reason we booked was to relax in the SkyBar balcony terrace that’s shown in the Pictures. But The Sky Bar has separate management to the Hotel Pullman and access to the Terrace Bar is restricted to over 18s as they only have a licence for a nightclub and a min of €25 per person for one drink, even if you want to just go up and see the view or take a picture. Our two teenagers 14&16y were also not allow in. It does not matter that you are staying in the Hotel. Also the terrace is not open during the day. I asked could I go up and just take some pictures of the Eiffel Tower at night and the reply was €25. Avoid this place

On multiple issues, their response is polite, promise everything, deliver nothing. Two examples: Our refrigerator didn't get cold and the light that should come on when the door opened instead flashed. They repeatedly promised to send a technician but didn't. An assistant manager visited the 2nd evening to confirm all our issues were resolved, when actually none were. She said she thought the fridge wasn't supposed to be colder, which was absurd, but she would send a tech anyway. He finally came late that evening, unplugged the fridge, plugged it back in, say "all good" and left without checking anything. I then saw the flashing was fixed and later saw it was really working. Clearly the problem was common, easily fixed and they still needed multiple requests over two days to fix it. Shortly after we arrived there was a big piece of broken glass just outside our door as we left. I threw it out, then noticed many very tiny pieces of glass all over the hallway carpet in that whole area. I reported it many time over the remainder of our stay, always getting a promise of immediate attention, including from that assistant manager who had better eyesight than I have and pointed out many more pieces than I could see when we looked at it together. But by the time we checked out, the glass was still there. Another guest said the vacuuming was done by a robot. Crumbs and other debris accumulated in that area after the broken glass appeared as if a robot vacuum had started avoiding that area and it was significantly dirtier than the rest of the carpeting by the time we left. The tablet for making calls within the hotel wouldn't turn on when we arrived. I saw the wiring to its charger stand had been disconnected and bundled up some distance away. Not at all obvious how to reconnect. I looked at the one in a friend's room, figured it out, reconnected and a few hours later the tablet was charged and usable. I never even bother reception about that, since we were chasing other issues. The tablet has a menu system that makes it appear to have many important uses, but they all just lead to advertisements, so it is useful only for calls within the hotel. The room itself is spacious and beautiful, but laid out to be as inconvenient as possible. The light switches make little sense, the thermostat is entirely unlabeled, so you get no clue either what the temperature is nor how much a change will change. A horrible bright globe light sits on the desk making it painful to look in that direction when it is on (see my photo), but you cannot turn on the other lights that you need without turning that one on. The bathroom has two entrances (a pointless waste of space), one of the two closes with big cracks, so the bathroom light shines in your partner's face if she is in bed while you use the bathroom at night (pack a small nightlight for the bathroom if you expect to use it at night). The other bathroom entrance doesn't close at all, so if your partner opens the room door to the public hall while you are in the shower, you can be seen from the hall. In addition to the common European feature of not being able to block the view of the shower from places outside the bathroom, it also has the common European feature of no way to block any water that splashes off you in the shower from soaking the whole bathroom floor. The toilet is in a long narrow separate space, so lots of wasted space, but too narrow for a big person to use comfortably. The TP roll is positioned where your upper right arm would be when seated, so you need to hold that arm in some unnatural position. That roll is also loosely held, so that a tiny touch causes it to fall off and land inaccessible behind the toilet. Signs within the hotel are almost all in English. But the staff have poor to no English. Google translate on your phone is a necessary tool.

Worst customer service at reception I have ever seen, I work in the travel industry and travel the world, never have I been so disappointed with a hotel. I arrived at 12.00 from Australia to be told room not ready , but we’ll try Came back at 2.20pm, there is a room but you can pay another 89Euros Absolutely disgusted, will never recommend or never ever come here again Balmoral hotel absolutely amazing, could not do enough for me, clearly the big names don’t care about customers Elliott was amazing and helped us at The Pullman as for the other staff, they need some customer service training

This room was very confusing with too many mirrors at right angles. Trying to simulate the Versailles Hall of Mirrors? The room was not well maintained: door gasket loose, WiFi tablet linked to phone not working. The hotel was ~3.5km from the important tourist sites, necessitating a cab or Uber. Other concerns included very dark light switches forcing a learning curve to operate the lights. More issues: very limited drawer space, shower open on back side allowing water on the floor, backwards toilet paper holder frequently letting the roll drop to the floor, only one restaurant with a limited menu. Also road construction in front of the hotel.
