The vast mansion which now houses the Relais Christine was built on the remains of the Abbey of the Grands-Augustins, founded in 1231. This delightful and discreetly luxurious boutique hotel has managed to preserve the intimacy of the private residence it once was.

Fabulous hotel, staff and location. Close to Notre Dame, museums and restaurants. We will be staying there again.

I was more than pleased with my recent stay at Relais Christine. The location of the property is excellent - just a few blocks to the vibrant St. Germain des Pres neighborhood but on a quiet side street so there is no noise. My room was lovely and given the insane heat of August, well air-conditioned! But the best part was the exceptional staff in all roles. Front desk staff was kind, personable and swiftly effective. Check in was fast and friendly, and I was offered their services for restaurant reservations, taxis or spa treatments. A subsequent conversation led to the front desk offering me a hard to get ticket for a very popular art installation. I was thrilled! Finally, my flight home was cancelled and the front desk immediately confirmed that I could stay an additional night with a cheerful follow up call a few minutes later telling me that I could remain in my room (they shuffled things around). Additionally, the Breakfast Buffet staff is also wonderful. Remembered my name and my tea preference after the first day. Helpful and personable, they made my mornings. Oh, and the food was great too! And last, but oh not least, the Spa Guerlain downstairs is amazing. My massage with Tess was excellent and my only disappointment was that she was so busy, I wasn't able to book another massage with her before the end of my trip. Learn from my mistake and book ahead. I plan to return to Relais Christine on my next trip to Paris - it has definitely made my short list.

It doesn't get any better than the Relais Christine. Fantastic location on a very quiet street close to all the sights, shops, restaurants, and convenient metro stations in Saint Germain. The property itself is so beautiful and charming, with an outstanding staff that pays such wonderful attention to detail, and welcomes each guest as if you are family. The spa is lovely and the attendants very attentive. A generous breakfast menu and buffet is available and the staff at the restaurant are so professional---they remembered my name, my room number, and my coffee preference after my first morning there. I honestly can't stay anywhere else in Paris---I keep coming back to Relais Christine

Gorgeous hotel, fantastic location, impeccable service. The hotel itself is what you would expect from a 5-star hotel in Paris – clean, neat, luxurious. The spa downstairs feels like an old wine cellar and has showers, a sauna, a hot tub, and gym, all available 24/7 (but I didn't see another person down there the entire time we stayed). There aren't a ton of places to sit in the lobby, but the spaces they do have are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. But I wanted to mainly give kudos to a hotel employee who really seemed to go out of their way to make people happy. There are some cities or resorts you can stay at where all you do is stay around the hotel area. Paris is obviously not one of those places – you're there to sleep, maybe eat a bit, but you spend most of your day exploring the city. So the fact that the hotel experience was so impactful says something about the staff and the hotel in general. We arrived at 10am on a Friday and immediately were greeted warmly by the maître d'hotel, Fernando, to come sit and have breakfast. Throughout our trip, Fernando became a welcome and memorable presence. The breakfast buffet is a must-do at least once on your trip. And if you're like me, it's a must-do every morning. Previous times in Paris I have eaten breakfast at cafés or on the go, but nothing touches this breakfast assortment. The pastries, the yogurts, eggs, fruit, spreads, coffee – everything is TOP notch, perfectly fresh and delicious. I had picked out 4 places I absolutely wanted to go for breakfast, and I didn't go to any of them because the breakfast buffet at Relais Christine just that good, and that comfortable of a setting. Meanwhile, on our second morning, Fernando briefly sang opera to a table who clapped along with the rest of the room. He seemed so genuinely happy to be of service, and to make memorable experiences for everyone in the room. We got to chatting about music, and I mentioned to him that I am very fond of Brazilian cheese bread (pão de queijo) since he was born in Brazil. The next morning, my wife and another couple sat down for breakfast, and what did Fernando have waiting for us? A bowl of warm, fresh pão de queijo, that he no doubt went out of his way to get for us from a French bakery very early in the morning. I know we were not the only people he's gone out of his way for, and I'm sure others who have stayed here have benefitted from his dedication.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Relais Christine. From the second we arrived, we were impressed with the level of service. The entire staff made us feel at home, especially our two daughters. The accommodations are well appointed and spacious. Truly a magical stay for our family.
