Reviews for Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel

Highly recommended!

Exceptional stay! We really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Arc de Triomphe at the end of April/beginning of May. They were able to check us in a few hours before actual check in which was so greatly appreciated having travelled many hours from Canada. Amrita was lovely at the front desk. A gentleman whose name we didn’t catch brought us waters and cold towels at check in. How wonderful that was! We were thanked for a loyalty as Bonvoy members. The hotel is well appointed, very modern and passed my high standard internal cleanliness checks! A handwritten welcome letter was delivered with cookies to our room. We received cookies every day - delivered! Our room was cleaned each day. The beds were pretty comfy. We were in the family room which was ample room for 3 of us. The bath was especially appreciated by our pre-teen. The bathroom amenities were great - bath salts, mending kit, shower cap, built in shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast - wow, the breakfast! so much choice. The staff were wonderful. They greeted us with smoothies. Alexandra took time to point out the good parts of the buffet! It was crowded. It was a perfect area with the metro nearby and many attractions within walking distance. Lots of local places to eat and a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away. We were welcomed every time we came into the hotel. We fully and wholeheartedly recommend the Renaissance Arc de Triomphe. We will 100% stay here again when we return. Merci, Renaissance Arc de Triomphe, pour un excellent sejour!

Awful management

My husband and I were flying in at different times. Reservation was in my name but since he was getting to hotel earlier, i had emailed them letting front desk and concierge know those details. They even confirmed back and Soriba Savane the duty manager also emailed back a confirmation. Despite all this, they would not let him check in. The front desk team, the front desk manager, on duty manager were all useless and rude. He had ri escalate it to the hotel GM before he was given the room!! Never have we experienced this type of issue and rudeness before and especially since we had notified them days in advance which they had confirmed back in writing. Then to top it off, the room only has 1 small bottle of water for 2 people for entire stay. Despite multiple requests for more water to various teams, were told to go fill it up from the water fountain on floor!! How ridiculous! Never seen this before. They ar acting like Motel 6. No turn down service, only 1 water bottle to share between 2. Don’r even know why there is a coffee machine in room. Marriott should rethink keeping this awful place as part of their family. Never again will we stay and thank god only 1 night this time. Should have stuck to Prince De Galle as we usually do but since it was 1 night and had a certificate expiring, we thought this would be fine as years past it has been good. New management needs to be fired here

Friendly Service, Great Location

We used Marriott points to stay at this well located hotel within walking distance to the Champs-Élysées, Louvre, and other sites. Proximity to the Metro station, just two blocks away, is also helpful. Our room was nicely appointed and had a private balcony overlooking a garden; others, I believe, have a view of the Arc de Triomphe just up the street. Service was very friendly, and we were pleased with our stay overall.

Below Standard Service

This is an ungrateful hotel which refused to recognise Marriott members. Ms HEMIONA at front desk refused to recognise my membership despite providing viable alternatives for her to prove it. Instead of going out of the way to provide exceptional service to convenient her customer, she is going all the way to INCONVENIENCE her customer. It is only her way or the highway. Ms HENIONA was also nonchalant when told that her attitude and behaviour will be feedback to the corporate office. During the stay, none of the management reached out to resolve the issue. They paid lip service to the corporate office saying that multiple attempts had been made to contact me but could not reach me. No attempts had been made to reach out to me. This is a perfect example of a management who sits on a high mountain; paying lip service to corporate office while being totally indifferent to customer’s concern.

Wonderful stay!

We visited on a family trip to Paris. From the moment you walk in, they tend to your needs. The room was spacious and very clean. Very quiet for sleeping. Good value! It’s very close to everything like metro lines and attractions. The breakfast was convenient, delicious, and there was a lot to choose from. Would recommend!
